Wunderpurr greetings pawesome pals
Welcome to The Pet Parade and this weeks news round-up.
On Tuesday Smooch and myself had a little trip to the vets, nothing serious I must add, though a couple of weeks ago I did get a little throat infection which was the reason fur my return vet visit. The good news is its all cleared up, howeffur the P.A. thought Smooch might have caught the virus too, but aftur a thorough examination he was better than fine.
Smooch still has the 'other' purroblem though and if mew don't know about this, he randomly piddles in places he shouldn't. Now it's not all the time and we can go fur weeks without an 'incident' yet the last couple of weeks he has been free-widdling on and off again. So the P.A. had a furry in-depth talk with the vet again aftur his examination and it has been decided that once another urine test [he had one when this issue furst arose] has been done to determine if he has any underlying issue. The vet thinks its most likely not an ailment, as his piddling-widdling isn't effurday or even in the same spot - but we still need to check. So once it has been determined whether he has medical issue or not, then we can move forward. If it's not a medical then the vet is going to refer him to a kitty behaviourist-purrson-expert or a kitty psychiatrist to see what's troubling him and help him to offurcome whateffur emotional issues or stresses he is dealing with that prompts him to widdle. So we'll be sharing updates on Smooch's piddling purroblem when we have them.
And also we've seen this week that a few of our supurr blogging pals have been writing about this purroblem too [we will be commenting on your posts this weekend], and offuring fantastic advice on how to try and tackle the issue, which is an invaluable help especially if mew have limited resources and are at your wits end as what to do next.
That now lead us to this, which troubles me and the hoard immensely:
We have heard that sometimes peeps just give up on the kitties that do this and go dump them in some shelter because they can't cope, can't be bothered, or just don't want to deal with it - whateffur their excuse is, we have this to say:
If mew had a child that wet the bed mew wouldn't go drop your child off at random foster home with strangers and say; here take this, it wets the bed I don't want it anymore, I can't cope it with it. Good bye!
Well tell me I'm wrong, what mew do is: mew find out why your child is wetting the bed and solve the issue.
So why do peeps think it's ok to go dump a troubled family kitty fur basically the same thing?
This in our eyes is completely unacceptable and is NOT ON AT ALL on any level!
We think if mew are considering adopting a pet, don't do it unless mew are going to keep that pet fur its entire life no matter what; whether it wrecks the house, digs the garden up, scratches the furniture to shreds, chews your shoes, eats your favourite arm-chair, climbs the curtains, piddles, pukes, or gets sick etc.... do not get one unless mew are purrpared to take on the responsibility of caring fur another living-being as mew would care fur a child.
Anyhoo I'll step off my soap-box and stop now... rant offur!

In other news we had another truly mind-boggling, fur quivering, claw-biting episode in Fast Furry & Dangerous on Tuesday, so if mew're in need of some high-octane excitement click the link below.
The P.A. ran out of time to make a crosswurd this week, and I did have a few croswurds to say about that but she made mew all a wurd-search instead, so it's not so bad! MOL
We hope your week has been fine, fabulous and fun, and we'll be visiting mew all offur the weekend to catch up on your pawesome blogs!
If mew missed anything this week, here's the latest links fur your purrusal!
We'll be back tomorrow with our usual Selfie Selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then.
In the meantime we wish mew all an epic weekend
Bestest purrs & hugs
