Pawesome Wednesday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to our weekly news round-up, we did have another post planned for today, but then we realised what day it was, so that was postponed for next week instead.

But furst, we hope mew're having an extra lucky St Patrick's Day,
St Catrick's Day or St Pawtrick's Day ~ Please choose your favourite one!

What lucky thing are mew doing today?

Or

Do mew have a lucky charm?

Parsley is feeling epically lucky this morning in his clover bandana, so much so he's bought a lottery ticket for tonight, and all paws are crossed for a big win because we need a new tank, among other things at BBHQ! MOL

Next in the news this week, we have a couple of extra stories, the furst one being rather sad as a little cat got left behind at Dover, UK on Monday, and we were asked if we could share this story by one of our lovely pals on Instagram.

We're sharing screenshots from Instagram so mew can see the kitty and accompanying story.

If any of mew could share this info on your social media accounts, that would be supurr epic, as when we checked last night there was NO NEW news, so we're assuming the poor kitty is still missing her pawrents.

We're purraying that she's epically, supurr, incredibly, ameowzingly lucky today and is reunited with her family.

Next up, we have a St Patrick's Day book to share; yes, we know Amber will get all huffy and have a total catniption, but we were only sent the info yesterday, so it's just a shout out! MOL

The Cats of Ireland: An Irish Gift for Cat Lovers, with Legends, Tales, and Trivia Galore

by

Seamus Mullarkey

This fun book is available at Amazon, so if mew're looking for the purrfect cat lovers gift to give today, this could be it.

We had a quick look earlier, and we wish we'd got the email sooner so we could have done a proper review!

And finally this week...

We've been getting our veg seeds planted and last week the furst wave was set.

So what's growing?

What's Growing ©BionicBasil® The Pet Parade 344
Catnip of course! MOL

Plus peas, broccoli, beans, onions, radish, wild garlic, tomatoes, peppers, cauliflower and carrots etc...  oh and just fur the fun of it, we planted some lemon seeds too to see if we can grow a tree! MOL

We also planted some ornamental grasses, as we really like those but don't want to pay £14.99 per plant as we need quite a few, so we're going to see if we can grow a few.

As mew can see we use small pots and put about 5 seeds per pot.  Then we place them on a bright windowsill and cover with clingfilm, we check them every couple of days to make sure they haven't dried out and use a spray bottle to gently dampen the compost if they have. We'll keep mew updated on germination as effurything we planted has different rates of growth.  Some of the grasses take up to 40 days.

We've also got some large pots outside and we'll be sowing carrots, leeks, and some other stuff this week.  We use potato bags fur our spuds and the furst one of those has just been planted too.

The P.A. likes container planting as she can move things about the garden to see where they grow best and it helps in snail and slug evasion too.

Are mew growing anything this year?

Amber will be here on Friday with another specially paw-picked book just fur all mew book lovers, so do stop by the library and say hello.  We'll also be purrticipating in 15 & Meowing's Friendly Fill-ins as we're trying to get a little more active again as the P.A continues to get better.

Until then...

Lucky Charms, A Leprechaun Hunt, Nip Beer and an Oshkosh on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 239 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Supurr Salutations and Greetings Wunderpurr Furriends

As mew can see we've really got our green on today! MOL

Well what's been happening this week, I hear mew ask?  Amber got mugged by some cheeky leprechauns on the way back from her pole dancing club the other evening.  They took all her tips and her rather fetching green costume which Pandora had designed fur her!  Who knew leprechauns could be so hostile, tut tut tut, shame on them!

Smooch, Parsley and Fudge found some lucky charms down the field, and are now trying to turn them into the newest, bestest crypto-currency to rival BitCoin, good luck with that dudes!

I drank copious amounts of nip beer at our St Paddy's Day Pawty and then followed a rather mystical rainbow to find a great big pile of gold, like who knew that could happen in real life?  And so guess where I'm headed, yep mew guessed it; Dwight Dastardly my local Dealer in Arms and Ammunition, here I come.

As I saw a rather pawesome Oshkosh truck at his secret yard the other day, and obviously as he's more secret than the Secret Service he wouldn't let me take any footage.  So I had to go to youtube and find mew this; as it's just too epic not to show mew, and wait till mew see how it drives offur terrain, mew'll be wanting one too! MOL

Isn't it an epically epic BEAST?

The P.A. says she's having furst goes in it if I do get one, as it's another one of her top 10 fav trucks in the #2 slot, she says she'll neffur have purroblems parking again - by that I think she means she can just leave it anywhere - try towing that Mr Parking-Meter-Man!!! MOL OOPS!

And finally...

Wishing mew all a totally terrific St Paddy's Day!

The Pet Parade Blog Hop No:187 ~ Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Love is Being Owned By A Husky & Barking from the Bayou

Supurr Salutations and Greetings Wunderpurr Furriends

As mew can see we've really got our green on today! MOL

Well whats been happening this week, I hear mew ask?

Mew've met the newbies and they're now enlisted in our Kitty Commando Training Academy.  They are on the intensive programme, so are learning weapons skills this week.  Howeffur Pandora is quite the little madam.  She said and I quote, "I vant to be a spy Basil, and mew may call me Pandora Von DaPlume!"

I looked at her, bemewsment readily apparent all offur my furry chops.  "And what makes mew think mew can be a spy?" I asked.

"Because I am Pandora Von DaPlume and I vould make a most excellent agent!" she said in her strange little foreign accent. "I speak many languages and 'ave many skillz that mew may not know about."

I raised an eyebrow and said. "Such as?"

Her glittering eyes narrowed and she smirked. "I did a lot of research on mew and it vould seem that mew vurked fur the F.I.B., aftur checking out your furry impressive credentials, I decided that I too vould be purrfect fur that life."

I must admit she does have great evasive skillz, as no matter how much I pressed her fur info, she was not forthcoming and changed the subject each time.

"OK Pandora," I said finally aftur dancing around an invisible mulberry bush in our verbal sparing session. "I'll tell mew what..."

She looked at me expectantly, a slight smile tugging at her mouth.

"Once mew've completed your Kitty Commando Training we'll talk about the spy stuff, ok?"

She gave me a curt nod and said, "I knew mew vould see things my vay eventually. and by the vay Fudge is a complete menace and I vould suggest that he is neffur left alone vith any kind of veapon, that is unless mew vant the bunker blown to bits!"

And with that she vanished.  "Furry impressive," I thought. "She'll make an excellent addition to the B Team."

At that moment there was an almighty boom, and a thick, black smoke cloud rose skywards.  Next came whooping and hollering and I launched offur the back fence towards the field, where to my utter dismay I found Fudge with a rocket launcher, with Smoochie & Parsley. They were all grinning and guffawing like complete loons as one of the round bales burnt to a charred crisp.  Before I could reach them Fudge fired again at another bale.  BOOM!  The huge bale exploded into a ferocious fireball.

"STOP! STOP!" I yelled as they rolled around on the grass laughing their socks off.

Fudge swung around and stared at me, rocket launcher waving all offur the place.  I ducked several times and in that moment I knew he had less sandwiches in his picnic hamper than the P.A.

"Oh no!" was all I could mutter.

"TIME OUT GUYS!" I shouted. "Rocket launcher class is done."

Fudge stared at me, his eyes had that slightly glazed look of pure ecstasy and then he spun around and pointed the weapon at another bale and BOOM!

Smoochie and Parsley were crying with laughter, but Parsley managed to say between gasps of air, "And mew thought that we were a liability, jeez Basil we've got nothing on that nutjob!!!"

"Yeah!" agreed Smooch as he pulled out a bag of marshmallows and began to toast one on the nearest flaming bale. "Where the flip did mew recruit him from?" then added rather genially. "Marshmallow anyone?"

I snatched the stick from his paw and ate the hot sticky mess, I knew I shouldn't but I needed to think.

"C.J. Catkin sent him," I finally said.

"Did mew and C.J. fall out or something?" Parsley asked.

I shook my head and tapped my comms unit.  "Snowie get C.J. on the phone purrlease, this is an emergency!"

Guys, this is only the beginning....

If mew missed anything this week, here's the latest links fur your purrusal!

We'll be back with our usual Selfie Selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then.

In the meantime we wish mew all a truly terrific weekend and a fabulous St Paddy's Day!!
