We hope wherever mew are that your week has been fabulous and the weather is clement!
First up in the news this week
It did break 40C last Chewsday at BBHQ, the hottest ever day ever in the history of Mewton-Clawson and it remained warm until the weekend.
Luckily we have a portable air-con unit for upstairs which the P.A. purrchased way back in 2015, so sleeping wasn't a problem, but the house was still heaving with heat for days after as the bricks slowly cooled down.
We've had a few light showers but nothing noteworthy yet, and in the news, it said that we're headed for a drought. If it's not one thing it's another, and it's all bad.
Mew know ever since covid appeared, it's just been bad news after bad news, and when we thought things were improving Russia declared war on Ukraine, fuel and energy prices soared into outer space and continue to head off into uncharted territory, food prices are increasing daily, inflation is in another universe, and then monkey-pox decides it wants to join the endless bad news pawty.
It's like wow - seriously what the fluff is going on?
Next up in the news
Well after the bad news segment above, we thought we needed to share something much, much lighter, so Fudge is here with more Follow the Floof!
Fudge decided to stalk a pigeon up the tree and went into full purredator mode!!! MOL

Can mew believe that Smooch was caught snoozing on the job? WOW, we can't either! MOL

We checked our Twitter account, and yes we are following both of mew! But we don't go on Twitter a lot, we're more on Instagram and TikTok.
Although on TikTok we only share vids, we're more sociable on Instagram.
I hope none of the fires are near you. Most of the fires this way are moorland, most likely caused by people being careless with BBQs!
On Chewsday evening aka the hottest day, we could smell burning grass and see a plume of smoke further down the village near another cousin of the P.A.'s. So she made a call to see if they were burning and if they needed assistance, but it was all ok, thank goodness.
There was a huge fire on one farm further up from the P.A.'s business, and sadly a lot of woodland was scorched too.

Great book review altho the fill-in answers sounded a bit like a politician skirting around the issues.
The P.A. is laughing, no one has ever compared her to a politician before, she's normally accused of being too blunt and basically shooting at point-blank range with zero regard for fall-out! LOL LOL
