The Purrminator is an action-packed experience that takes mew on a journey through a world of perilous danger with oodles of excitement, though sometimes in a scary way. With depictions of nightmare and spine-tingling encounters, the story draws mew in, making mew feel as though mew are right there with young Melvyn, fighting for survival as he's relentlessly hunted by the evil cyborg machines, known as Purrminators, as he tries to find his Great Uncle Basil through time and space. Oh my Cod, will he make it?

HOLD ON TIGHT, GUYS; THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE WILD, FLUFFING ADVENTURE!!!

Chapter One

Alone In The Dark

Leaves rustled in the trees above as the chill wind hissed with eerie malevolence. The kitten sat frozen still in the deepest, darkest shadows as the air around him burst with danger. His golden eyes darted all around, checking one last time that he was alone. Taking a deep breath, he sank soundlessly to the ground before springing forward into the open and darting through the overgrown garden, leaping over dead shrubs and piles of ancient leaves and other debris.

Careening around the back of the dilapidated summerhouse and slipping on a slick of stinking dead, wet leaves, his eyes locked on what he’d been searching for, the BBHQ bunker entrance. He wanted to shriek with joy but clamped a paw tight over his mouth as the last thing he wanted to do was to give his location away.

Racing into the dark cavernous maw of the bunker entrance, the kitten’s apprehension grew as he realised there was no one home, and he was alone.

Cobwebs hung in thick white swathes covering every surface of the corridor, swaying in the light breeze and billowing like voluminous gauzy curtains. The floor, covered in a layer of dust, took on the appearance of a barren, grey, sandy desert, with intricate ripples tracing the path of the wind that had entered through the open steel blast doors.

The tabby and white kitten crept into the deepening gloom on silent paws. Silence hung like a heavy weight as he stopped and listened attentively just inside the doorway, as the musty aroma of a long abandoned space filled his nostrils. He crinkled his nose and tried not to cough as the dust swirled around him.

A few seconds later, a low sonorous growl sounded off in the distance, and then another and another, sparking a cacophony of danger and, potentially, death.

The kitten gulped. Knowing he didn’t have much time and was already at the point of no return after trying to evade his pursuers for the last two hours. He scrabbled through a heavy cobweb swathe with trembling paws, looking for the door closure button.

He clawed at the sticky cobwebs as the snarls and growls loomed closer; his breathing was frantic as he desperately searched for the button.

Lethal claws tip-tapped eerily on the stone slabs, only a short distance away as twilight descended into full-blown darkness.

The kitten held his breath as he searched the wall in utter anguish for the button. He knew it was there. He’d seen blueprints of this place a hundred times and had memorised everything. Letting his shaky paw glide over the metal wall, he risked a glance over to the open doorway.

His heartbeat was redlining and his ears were filled with a throbbing whooshing sound as he saw two red glowing eyes peering directly at him.

Clamping his jaw together to stop the scream that was bubbling up, threatening to escape, his paw unexpectedly connected with a large round button

“Please work!” He frantically thought as he struck it with the remaining strength he had.

There was an earsplitting screech as the door mechanism fought through the years of rust and grime to close.

The glowing red eyes flared, a guttural snarl rang out, and the thing outside in the darkness  pounced.

**AND CUT**

Guys, we are sorry to cut it there, but we know mew don't have much time to read a saga today.

If mew would like to read Chapter Two, let us know in the comments, as we've got a feeling this is going to develop into an epic adventure. (And another one that isn't quite written yet! MOL)

However, if mew want to see where it goes, we'll gladly continue a chapter a week, but that is up to mew.

In the meantime, if possible, don't forget to...
