Welcome to
Hi guys, Amber here again *waves paw most ecstatically*
So sorry I wasn't here last week, and yes I was most miffed to have missed sharing another pawesome book with mew all, but these things happen.
Anyhoo, let's get on with the show. Mew may remember that in my last post, click here, I mentioned Browser the library kitty was being evicted from his home and job, well the good news is that he is safe and I'd like to say a speshul thank mew to Diane who so furry kindly left a comment to let me know.
So with that good news shared, it's time fur the main event and as I wasn't here last week I'm doing a 2 fur 1 today! MOL
This week on Book Reviews with Amber, I'm sharing The Cats' House & Cats into Everything.

Cats into Everything
I love these books, and I have to apologise fur the faded covers, but I had such a job getting them here in the UK several years ago. The only copies that were available were used and I had to get them shipped from America.
But faded covers aside, these have to be two of my fav books. I was hoping the P.A. would take some inspiration from The Cats' House and turn our house into a kitty paradise of ramps, stairs, holes in walls and all manner of fabulous feline amusement apparatus including a terrific catwalk. Sadly this didn't happen... howeffur one can remain hopeful fur such a make-offur to occur, but with a much subtler colour palette! MOL
They do make most excellent coffee table books and are well wurth a purrusal time and time again, as each time mew look at the pictures mew spot something else mew missed before.
The photo's are great and the cats are gorgeous, what more do mew need? MOL
They are both rather whimsical, but if mew love cats then mew'll love these.

Bob Walker and his cats have moved away from the house they made famous in their book. I think they're in Virginia now, but I don't know if he's fixed up their new house for the kitties.

ReplyDeleteHey Pip, they are fabulous aren't they!? XOX
DeleteI have his books and love them. I read somewhere at least a year ago, they sold their house to people without cats - what a waste.
ReplyDeleteGuys, yep we read the same - what a total travesty!!!! XOX
DeleteThose sound like some good reads! I want to find my own copies now ~RascalandRocco
ReplyDeleteOh mew must get them! XOX
DeleteGreat books! Thanks for telling us about them, Amber.
ReplyDeleteIsland Cats, mew'll love them! XOX
DeleteYou have an impressive library. Our Merlin and assistants have reviewed hundreds of cat books over 5 years at Cat Wisdom 101. We took a break to focus on our own book Black Cats Tell All but will resume reviews again. The Bob Walker book started the catification trend, way ahead of the curve. Sadly, everything in the book is gone. The walls were painted beige in order to sell the house and the Walkers have moved cross country.
ReplyDeleteHi Layla, thanks fur stopping by and we'll be sure to check out your reviews! It's so sad that the house in no-more! XOX
DeleteSure is sad that that fun kitty house is no longer...sheesh, they could have sold it to a kitty loving furmily...all ready to move right in!
ReplyDeleteYes, it should have been sold to a furmilly of kitties with their staff! So sad.... xox
