The Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 171 ~ Happy Thanks Giving from Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Love is Being Owned By A Husky & Barking from the Bayou

Friday greetings pawesome pals

Welcome to another fabulous Pet Parade and we hope mew all had a truly splendid Thanksgiving!

We've had no news yet on the Time Travelling Bobble Hat, so we don't know if it's reached the paws of The Florida Furkids, we're hoping so as we're building a list of supurr kitties that want to purriticipate.

In other news, Smoochie had his appointment on Tuesday with the Kitty Shrink which went well, and we've determined that an unknown cat [we've named him Tiger] coming into the garden and courtyard is causing some of his distress, howeffur the other places he has piddled is more of a toileting issue rather than a marking-up issue.  So the 6 litter trays we have in two different rooms are now going to split so there are more options around the home.

Also we're putting temporary frosting on the french doors in the kitchen and patio doors in the lounge to restrict Smoochie's view of Tigers comings and goings at ground level and also, our supurr cozy bed under the carport has to go as Tiger thinks this is his.

The P.A. witnessed the above the other morning as she was leaving, Smooch in the french doors watching Tiger leave....

and the next day here he is... again...

Tiger seems like a really nice cat,  he's not really peep furriendly, so the P.A. does not try to engage him, and also she thinks by encouraging him Smoochie's little purroblem will escalate, because from what we've determined every time Tiger is on the place Smoochie piddles on something.  So the equation is this:

Tiger outside = Smoochie piddling downstairs

The P.A. doesn't like the maths much, so the kitty shrink advised that she temporarily cover our supurr cozy teddy bear snuggle pit up with a tarpaulin and then she's going to make him a new bed next door at her cousins house and try to get him to stay around there, as her cousin is feeding him.

Anyhoo, we'll tell mew more in another post and show mew what other measures have been implemented with photo's of course and share more a in-depth post.

If mew missed anything this week, here's the latest links fur your purrusal!

We'll be back with our usual Selfie Selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then.

In the meantime we wish mew all a truly amazing weekend

Happy Hopping

Bestest purrs & hugs

  1. Sounds like your Smoochie is our Percy. Only our Percy's arch enemy is Micah who lives in the same house with him. That makes it really fun when she wakes up at night to one on either side of her head. :) But they are doing better.

  3. Ugh, intruder kitties are the worst! We have a few here, and while we kitties don't mind them, one keeps spraying in places that stink up our living room and home office area. :-(

  5. That sounds like a good way to start helping Smoochie feel less stressed abut this handsome/sweet looking interloper/freeloader kitty. Hopefurly he will decide the cousin's den is superior to yours, MOL!!

We are purring that all the steps you're taking with help Smoochie feel more secure and fix that piddle problem.

  9. Aww, can't they all just get along? I hope your solution fixes things. It's never nice finding piddle presents around the house.

  10. Are you sayin' that had I piddled on stuff in the house, my peeps would have done a better job of discouraging Nosey-Neighbour-Cat from visitin'? I NEVER KNEW! Wonder if it's too late to start now...
