Next up this week;

The Burds Are Back In Town.

Parsley was transfixed in the catservatory as the burds arrived in the garden in full force. We feed them all throughout the autumn/fall, throughout the winter to almost early summer.  In the summer we leave up just a couple of feeders in case they need a little extra, but as we move into the colder weather we add up to 4 or 5 more around the garden plus we start feeding them a special protein peanut butter.

So last week on Purrsday we put out four jars of the peanut butter into the feeder on the tree, and within 24 hours this happened, where it had been a bit slack the last few weeks, we were suddenly inundated.

And then on Sunday afternoon we had some brand new arrivals; 3 female pheasants swooped in from the left of the courtyard and landed under the burd-feeder near the fence, the P.A. furry kindly went and got a jugful of feed and spread it on the lawn for them, so hopefully they enjoyed that.

And finally this week; Smooch Loves His Basket.

As mew can see we've been preparing the garden for the winter and have all the outdoor furniture covered up, this means that when we're in the garden now we don't have a sofa to lounge on so the outdoor snuggle basket is back in place just in case we want to take an outdoor snooze.

Here's Smooch modelling it, doesn't he look cute?

And speaking of baskets, this week's HOT GOSSIP at BBHQ is that Amber has taken control of the basket on the landing which Melvyn had claimed as his domain, so he's really quite hissed off that Amber has moved in! #OOPS

  1. Parsley, we would be transfixed, too. Look at all those burds! And pheasants, too???

Smooch, you surely do look cute in that outdoor snuggle basket. And Amber, glad you are enjoying that one on the landing. Any chance Melvyn can have a turn?

  2. Concats on that nomination!!

Pheasants are fairly large birds, so I bet Parsley was super intrigued!! Did he chatter at them??

Smooch, you so look like you found the best outdoor nest! And it looks like Melvyn might be able to fit in there too, can't you share??

  3. Amber looks well settled. I think Melvyn has lost his basket!
The pheasants usually stay in the fields or in the paddock behind the leyland hedge which was part of the "purrison fence". Every morning though there is one big fat cock pheasant that struts along the top. Then he stops and stares in the widow at me from his perch. He stays for about 5 minutes then flies off.

  4. Y'all sure have been busy and big congrats on the nice award!

  5. Congratulations on your award and I love all the baskets. They are most important for a good snooze. Inside or out.

We feed the birds here too. We also have a fountain for them to have water and take a bath. Such fun to watch.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to the kitties and my best to your mom. ♥

  6. Concats on your nomination.
Smooch you look gorgeous modeling in your basket.
