Welcome to
Today we're sharing one of our *sponsored posts with mew from the fabulous peeps at...
...who asked us a few weeks ago if we'd like to try their ameowzing insect-based cat complete kibble.
As always, Fudge was furst on paw to see what was happening and if there was anything delicious on offer.
This is the furst 100% insect-based cat food available in the U.K. today, and the basic ingredient of this food is black soldier fly larvae. It looks and smells just like any other kibble/dry food, although for more in-depth info, purrlease check out Lovebug's FAQ page here; we were there for a good 30 minutes reading all the data, it's really informative.
Though as with all new foods, if mew have any concerns at all purrlease check with your purrsonal veterinarian before any switch occurs.
If the video doesn't play, purrlease click here to view direct on YouTube. (It is scheduled to go live at 12.15am GMT, but if the interwebs gremlins are playing up, many apologies, and we will fix it asap.)
As mew can see, Fudge couldn't wait and nommed it with much vigour. Melvyn gave it all paws up too, although his style of eating is pawsitively snails-ville compared to Fudge's! MOL
If mew didn't know what it was made from, mew'd have no idea mew're eating insects. It smells really nom'a'licious, and has a great crunchy texture which helps keep our fangs clean, in fact we were extremely impurressed by it.
What we really like:
It's a supurr tasty and sustainable alternative to regular complete dry food and is easily digestible.
It's been developed with pet nutritionists.
Mew can subscribe to their pawesome subscription service.
It is a protein alternative to regular cat food, therefore being a sustainable product and better for the planet.
All their full-size packaging is 100% recyclable, and the sample boxes we got to try have a recyclable cardboard outer and a compostable inner bag, or this can be recycled too.
It contains no palm oil either.
It's an easy transition to switch to this new cat food.
There are oodles of pawsitives for moving to a cat food like this, not only because it's a greener product, kinder to the planet with completely recyclable packaging, it's also better for our farmyard furiends, and that in itself is a huge plus in our book.
This cat food may not appeal to everyone, though we would suggest that it doesn't hurt to try new things, mew could be epically surprised and be a total convert. And by adopting greener and more environmentally furiendly products, we're helping our planet for future generations, what's better than that?
We think Lovebug insect-based complete cat food is totally
TOP PAW!
If mew're looking for a tasty and nutritious alternative to regular dry cat food, we think this is definitely worth trying.

Clearly a hit the way Fudge and Melvyn wolfed it down. :) XO
ReplyDeleteThat's certainly an interesting food idea; our cats try to catch and eat bugs often. I probably wouldn't want to make it the only food, but feed other foods along with it. I do like the green aspect!

I wish that had been around when Eric and Flynn were here. They loved bug eating and Eric had the time of his life in summer caching grasshoppers. Great video of the vacuum and the more gentlemanly gourmet.
