Supurr Wednesday Greetings Pawesome Furiends

Welcome to our weekly news round-up!

It's just been one of those months when things keep fluffing up, first it was the arson attack (See Q&A below for an update), next it was the broadband connection, and then this morning (Monday) a new two-poster ramp was being fitted in the workshop, well almost, as the surveyor missed a crucial part in the report. The concrete slab needed to be 160mm and it's only 120mm. Seriously guys mew couldn't write it!

Anyhoo, we're going to see if we can change the two-poster ramp to a four-poster ramp if the concrete depth is sufficient, although it should be as a four-poster has been bolted there for the last couple of decades. We're just waiting to hear back now. But we really wanted another two-poster, but so it goes.

And as for the broadband connection, upon checking the fault this morning, the date has moved to the 29th of November, so that's a bit better than the original estimate of December 9th. Although, there has been no work since last Tuesday at the point of the problem. So it looks like it will be mended when it's mended. It's really rather slack of BT as it's not just Mewton-Clawson that on the blink, Fuskerton next door is also on the fritz including the post office, so all in all it's an utter cluster fluff.

First up in the news

Fudge Spies Something On The Roof

It was quite warm on Caturday, and Fudge decided to go on a little roof inspection.

He spied a slipped tile with his exceptional whiskery senses!

So that means the roofing ladder will have to come out soon.

Next up in the news

Parsley getting A Few November Warms

As we just said, Caturday was a nice day and after the clouds fluffed off, we got some lovely sunshine.

So Parsley took full advantage of those rays atop the cake aka the mill wheel pile. The top one is black granite which absorbs all the heat, so he knows exactly where to get for the best thermal effect!

Finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

The Glow Bugs bandana won by a majority on the last post, so here's Melvyn in all his modelling glory! MOL

BBHQ Q&A ©BionicBasil® Autumn Banner 22

If mew have any questions for us about anything, ask away, and we'll answer on next week's post.

Plus we'll also answer any questions left in the comments over the last few days in this section too.

We know many of mew are still wondering about the outcome of the recent arson attack at the P.A.'s work.

Here's the update, the police are still investigating and unfortunately the business is the patsy and its insurance will be paying for the damage for both the vehicles involved. The good news is that as the completely burnt-out 4X4 needed a new engine, its actual worth is considerably less than expected. And the second slightly damaged vehicle has now gone for repair and hopefully, the customer will have it back very soon.

Memories of Eric and Flynn said on Amber's post

If you have anything like Airband in your area you should think about changing to them. They don't use phone lines but receivers instead

We used to have satellite broadband here, which we think is just like your Airband, we only moved to BT recently after the small company that was providing the service sold out and speeds dropped along with the customer service, but the prices were increased.

Several years ago about this time Roby Sweet passed away. She had written the wonderful "Miss Cuddlywumps" series and had another one due out in November of that year...but that never came to be. We wondered if you knew anything about that, as we sure enjoyed the adventures of "Miss C" as well as the true story about her real housemates.

Amber has been planning on reviewing A Bump in The Road for quite some time; we borrowed a paperback copy from Erin The Cat Princess some time ago. Thanks for reminding us about it. Amber will schedule it into this season's reviews.

That's us done for today; do join us tomorrow for a quickie Thanksgiving post and if mew don't have time, Happy Thanksgiving and we hope your day is truly epic!

Amber will be back on Friday with another fab book just for mew, and if mew missed Monday's post, featuring our epic house panther Angel Humphrey, click here to catch up on all the gossip!

  4. Your kitties work so hard and they are ever so good looking.

I vote for the gingerbread bandana this week.

I hope your Internet gets fixed and they don't move the date again.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥

  5. Well done on spotting that tile, Fudge! Parsley was smart to find the warmest spot. I say model the gingerbread skelebobs next. The eye is a bit creepy!
