Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Happy Wednesday, furry floofers, and are mew ready for this week's BBHQ hot gossip? Of course mew are!
Let's start with the weather. After last week's slight drop in temperature for a couple of days, it skyrocketed again into the early 30s; the actual temperature was 34 degrees Celsius. We were melting, the fur was frizzy, and all in all, we didn't like it much.
The P.A.'s air con unit in her office at work went on the fritz, and her office was a rather heady 39 Celsius. There are no opening windows and just a small extractor fan. She has other fans, but decided to go home just after lunch as it was unbearable.
Tuesday, we actually got rain, and not just three fat drops; it rained in a nice, sedate way for about three hours, but that isn't going to fix the garden, which looks more like the Serengeti than rural England right now! MOL
Anyhoo, let's move on and introduce mew to Pootle, the newest hedgehog at BBHQ, and he's just a baby... so tiny, it's outrageous!
He appeared just a few days ago and has been loving the snacks we leave out.
Just for context, he's about one and a half tennis balls in length.
What a little sweetheart.
Oh, and as the garden is more crispy than ever, we have got a lovely painted lady butterfly to show mew instead of a load of scorched flowers.
The butterflies have suddenly appeared in droves and are fluttering about everywhere, which is rather lovely.
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Smooch's Fur Is Glowing
Smooch was on the bench the other day, and the sun was so bright his fur was glowing!!! MOL
Next up in the news
Parsley's On The Patio
Parsley enjoyed a quiet moment on the back patio.
This was taken a couple of weeks ago before the lavender gave up, crawled out of the wall, and has now relocated itself under a tree! MOL
Fudge must have been speaking to Amber about the warm flannel.
He'd stuffed his nose in something and wouldn't let the P.A. clean it... so mew know what's coming don't mew?
Yep, the ambush approach, any minute now! MOL
Finally this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
This week Melvyn is modelling the third bandana of July. And mew voted for In The Jungle!
What a cutie, oh, and good news. W.D.G. accepted the gift basket and has now moved down to Level Eight in the bunker, and is having a great time in the biosphere... we knew it would all come right in the end!
Which one should he model next?
Here's the July Bandana collection, and we chose another really fun selection for mew this time.
And we've decided to give mew six to choose from, even though we only needed five, OH MY COD, the utter excitement of it all! MOL
The July Collection:
1. Popcorn Purrlease
5. Pink Flutterby's
6. Cactus Crazee
Tell us your top pick for next week in the comments.
That's us done for today. We'll be back on Friday, so do join us then, as mew know how much we love your company.

How awful about the A/C giving out at the office, I hope it's fixed quickly.
ReplyDeletePootle is precious and I'm glad there are butterflies to give color to your world right now.
Everyone looks great, even Fudge "being nosy." Melvyn, you made my week, you look great it this bandana.
Flutterby's would be my next choice and it's gratifying to know W.D.G. is in a good place.
Pootle is very cute. We usually get a lot of butterflies here because we don't spray the fields, and all the surrounding farms do. This year we have surprisingly few butterflies. Glowing Smooch and Parsley are enjoying the sun. Fudge, you need to have your nose cleaned up! You don't want your fans seeing you less than perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am glad WDG has been placated and happy with his new living arrangements. Melvyn, you look very handsome. I vote for the pink flutterbys next week.
Lovely pictures, all! Does Melvyn ever look snazzy today! We like #1, Popcorn, for next week!
ReplyDeleteButterflies and butter ball hedge hog, lol. And look at all that lovely cat fur. So many kinds and colors. We vote fur popcorn bandana, Melvyn. Glad you got a bit of rain.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitties, I love you and your blog.
ReplyDeleteI pick #5 for next week.

ReplyDeleteLooking good gang! Little Pootle is so cute!
ReplyDeleteOOH, Pootle is so cute! That butterfly sure is beautiful, and how exciting that you got so many at once. Looking good, Smooch, Parsley, Fudge, and Melvyn. How about Cactus Crazee next week?
ReplyDeleteWe hope the PA's office air conditioner gets fixed soon. Hugs!
Terrific wildlife in your gardens!
ReplyDelete#1 is my choice.
Since its so very hot and quite dry there maybe you need to model the cactus bandana, Melvyn!
ReplyDeleteWe see butterflies here, lots of them...sometimes we are blessed with a yellow swallowtail or a dark blue one. Never have seen a pink one though, LOL!
