Love To Colour? Colouring with Cats #134 ~ Getting Your OM’s on with Mandalas on Mondays ~ Crystal of the Week PLUS **Your Crystal Questions Answered** What Is Opalite Good For?

Turquoise Mandalas on Mondays Banner 2020 ©BionicBasil® getting your Om's on and unleash Your Zen Harmonies

Supurr Monday greetings beautiful furiends

Welcome to another week at BBHQ and we're continuing our crystal journey today, and have a lovely gemstone to share, as Angel asked us; what is Opalite good for?

Crystal of The Week

&

What is Opalite good for?

Opalite is a semi-translucent white/blue stone, it is usually a man-made iridescent glass resin that is created from Dolomite and metal. There are natural opalite stones created in the earth, although these are quite rare, so the samples mew can buy will usually be the glass resin version.

They are also known as a Tiffany Stone and have a lovely chatoyancy or colour change, similar to a genuine opal although not as intricate or intense, with flashes of blues, reds and golds shining from the depths of the crystal.
examples of opalite crystals, opalite, crystals

We have a few pieces of opalite at BBHQ, three of which are cute little cat carvings, one of which is being investigated by Melvyn below.

Let's tell mew a little about the gemlore surrounding this pretty crystal. It is purported to help with sleep disturbances, and nightmares, so if mew experience either, try putting a piece under your pillow for a few nights.

It is also said the help strengthen your aura, and assist with faster healing. Plus it supposedly helps to remove energetic blockages within the body.

Also known as the merchant stone, it can supposedly help with business, success and wealth plus assist with financial gain and material wealth. So if mew're needing a bit of help in that department maybe this stone could help.

Opalite is a stone of happiness, bringing more joy and calmness to your life, and can aid in contacting the spiritual realms.

A good stone for the throat chakra, as it can enhance communication.

It apparently is an excellent energizer, so if mew're looking for a little more stamina throughout the day purrhaps carry a small stone on your purrson and see if it helps.

Opalite is said to be a good balancer, so if your yin and yang are a little out of sorts, this may help reset things.

There's so much more info about this lovely crystal, so if we've piqued your curiosity go and check out google for more.

And as with previous crystals, mew can get all types of different jewellery, should mew want to wear a piece or pieces.

We love our little carvings and they sit on a shelf in the BBHQ office.

Many thanks for emailing us Angel, and we hope that answered your question.

Love To Colour? Colouring with Cats #132 ~ Getting Your OM’s on with Mandalas on Mondays ~ Crystal of the Week PLUS **Your Crystal Questions Answered** What Is Malachite Good For?

Turquoise Mandalas on Mondays Banner 2020 ©BionicBasil® getting your Om's on and unleash Your Zen Harmonies

Supurr Monday greetings beautiful furiends

We're continuing our crystal journey today, and this week, we've got a lovely gemstone to share as Sarah asked us; what is Malachite good for?

Crystal of The Week

&

What is Malachite good for?

Malachite is a gorgeous green crystal that has swirls, bands and rosettes in all shades of emerald, it is readily available and is usually one of the first crystals most collectors buy.
examples of malachite crystal, green malachite tumbles stones, malachite healing crystals

We have a few tumbles stones at BBHQ, although we were given this larger piece a few years ago. We think it was supposed to be a rather abstract dolphin, although Melvyn said he didn't think it looked very fishy to him! MOL

Cute tabby cat Melvyn checking out a beautiful green malachite crystal

Let's tell mew a little about the gem lore surrounding this very verdant crystal. Malachite is safe to handle in its polished form, although do be careful as the raw unpolished crystal is rather toxic, so always buy tumbled stones or carvings.

It is purportedly a crystal that can amplify positive and negative energies and is a supurr protection stone and can assist in grounding spiritual energies. It is also said to be a stone of transformation and can aid mew to be more adventurous, to enable change and be more open to risk-taking.

It is reported to be good for chakra healing and its ideal placement is the heart chakra for bringing harmony and balance, although we've read that it's also good for the third eye as it could potentially activate psychic visions, though we'll have to get back to mew on that as we've never tried it. Mew can use it on the other chakra points too, for example, if placed on the solar plexus it is reported to promote emotion healing, and release negative traumas/experiences.

Malachite is also reputed to assist with clearing EMF's and guards against pollution, helping to heal earth energies. So if mew missed our last two crystals which also help with EMF cleansing and protection, click here for orgonite and shungite.  And purrhaps add a few malachite tumble stones to your EMF home defence repertoire.

Another thing we read about this stone is that it can aid in drawing out deeper feelings, and can help breaking unwanted ties and/or patterns that mew feel need adjustment in your life. Its also reputed to help with releasing inhibitions and helps to encourage empathy towards others.

It is a crystal of intuition and problem-solving, and can supposedly assist with becoming more observant, insightful with the ability to absorb information more readily.

As with all the crystals we've mentioned, there is oodles of jewellery made from this gorgeous green stone, so if mew're drawn to it, know mew can get bracelets, earrings and pendants plus the regular tumble stones and it's not an expensive crystal to buy either.

Even if mew don't want to use your crystal in any specific way, we think malachite is a mighty pretty stone to have in a crystal collection.

Many thanks for emailing us Sarah, and we hope that answered your question.
