Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, it's lovely to have your company again and do help yourselves to the fresh catnip tea, and there are some rather lovely gingernuts too.
So the decorating and stuff is still happening at BBHQ. The P.A. and dad have now moved into the bedroom and are giving that a new paint colour and the P.A. is also painting the built-in wardrobes too, she said after 20 years as nice and lovely as they are, they need to be a different colour, and she's even bought some bought crystal door knobs to put on them when they're finished, so it should look rather nice.
Why am I talking about decorating; well I was thinking that purrhaps I needed a new look in the library, and as I'm a supurr crotchety old cougar I need a couple of colours to reflect that epic level of crotchetyness.
If mew have any idea's for the colours, please feel free to share in the comments below. Though I do wunder if there is a crotchety colour palette I could purruse?
I imagine it would have really inspired and lovely colours like:
Angry Amber, Obstinate Orange, Volatile Violet, Feisty Fern, Grumpy Grey, Turquoise Tantrum, Grouchy Green, Nit-Picking Navy, Persnickety Pink, Bad-Tempered Blue, Acid Lime, Cranky Coral, Irritable Indigo, Raging Red, Bitter Lemon, Cantankerous Crimson, Loathsome Lavendar, Odius Olive, Crabby Carmine, Peevish Periwinkle, Irritable Ivory, Surly Sapphire, Waspish White, Ratty Raspberry, Temperamental Taupe etc...
Oooooh I'm feeling some inspiration about to strike, so let's head on towards the review as I need to sit down and wait for the imminent lightning-strike! MOL
1. _________ is funny.
2. I've written a fan letter to _________.
3. _________ is easier than it looks.
4. _________ is harder than it looks.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. Living with lots of cats is funny. Anyone who says cats are boring does not know what they talking about; every day at BBHQ at least one of The B Team will have me in stitches of laughter, they are the best tonic you could ever have. If you're feeling lonely and sad, adopt a cat, and you'll wonder why you didn't do years earlier.
2. I've written a fan letter to... in all honesty I've never ever written a fan latter to anyone.
3. This is completely random; sewing and making stuff is easier than it looks. I taught myself to sew on my Grandmothers manual Singer machine when I was 4 years old, and I'd make clothes for my teddy bear, if they didn't fit the first time I'd go and cut something else out and keep going and making the same item until it did fit how I wanted. This put me in good stead as when I was younger and going to rather posh 'do's' or Balls I had the skills to tailor my own evening gowns and cocktail dresses, I still have some a few of them in storage. I would upcycle old velvet jackets to make a bodice, or I'd cut up another dated dress if the fabric was nice to make a new one, that way I never turned up anywhere and have anyone wearing the same dress as me! LOL
4. Writing a blog and being dedicated to keep producing new and fun content year after year is way, way harder than it looks.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...
Mewton-Clawson Library Copy

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Malarkey dipped his claws in some ink and wrote out a poster. He put it in his office window. VACANCY FOR ASSISTANT CAT DETECTIVE MUST BE HARD WORKING AND NOT EAT MUCH SPECIAL POWERS AN ADVANTAGE. And he sat back and waited, but not for long. Malarkey is worried. 'I'm worried,' he says to no one in particularly, because as owner and sole employee of the Catsup High Detective Agency, he is the only cat in the office. Cats have been going missing in Catsup and Malarkey needs to know why - so he decides to hire an assistant.
This is a book for younger readers, to read themselves or be read to and it's totally brilliant full of fun, with epic illustrations and is laugh out loud in places.
A supurr little plot, with great characters and wurld building, there are lots of different anipals, and an epic side-kick with special powers called Sparkie.
This would make a purrfect Camas gift for nieces, nephews, grandkids or even for yourself, I really enjoyed it, and apparently the author has written over 80 kids books, fantastic news! MOL
This is a definite must-have for younger readers.
