MELVYN'S 9TH BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!!! ~ The Epically Epic Mewton-Clawson MOTOR MUSTER

Melvyn's 9th Birthday Extravanganza!

We asked Melvyn if he wanted to celebrate at the new Meowsney Theme Park on Level 17 of the bunker, but he said, and I quote.

"Nope, I want something nostalgic, something special from a bygone era. Something decadent and fun."

"Oh," I said. "Let me think about that for a minute or two."

Two minutes later...

"Melvyn, how about a vintage car rally? It's going to be lovely weather; we'll call it 'Melvyn's Motor Muster'."

Well, let me tell mew, he's eyes lit up like it was the 4th of July, and funnily enough, that's today! 

SO WELCOME TO MELVYN'S MOTOR MUSTER!!!


First, we had to get the official photo...

Melvyn's Official Birthday Pawtrait

A classic black Rolls‑Royce with the licence plate “MEL 4” is parked on a grassy showground during a festive vintage car rally. Smooch in his Red Peril

Smooch arrived in style, his Red Peril polished to within an inch of its life, and he parked it next to my 1943 Ford Jeep, which is epically popular today; everypawdy wants to get in and get a photo taken. This is Cyril Fuddleton, mew may remember him from Monday's post!


MILITARY VEHICLES

A row of restored World War II military vehicles is displayed on a grassy field with the Mewton-Clawson Stone Circle visible in the distance. Union Jack flags fly above the lineup, and informational plaques stand in front of each vehicle. The collection includes a Dodge WC‑54 ambulance, a GMC CCKW 353 cargo truck, and a Diamond T 969 wrecker, all painted in olive drab with white U.S. Army markings. We really have the vintage vibe happening, total authenticity happening on every level!

Do try the cherry slices and lavender nip tea, then follow that with a catnip brownie; mew won't be disappointed, we promise! MOL


 The Quarter Moon Beer Garden

A lively gathering of anthropomorphic cats dressed in elegant vintage clothing, socialising at an outdoor venue called “The Quarter Moon Beer Garden Annex.” The cosy space is decorated with bunting, flowers, and British flags, with cats holding whimsical drinks such as Catnip Ale, Catnip Spritz, Lavender Lemonade, and Catnip Cooler. They stand in front of a wooden bar displaying humorous cat‑themed drink and snack menus. The warm lighting and refined early‑20th‑century attire create a charming, nostalgic atmosphere within the festive setting of Melvyn’s Birthday Extravaganza at the Mewton‑Clawson Car Rally.

Yep, Amber was in her element, true to form, we even had to stop her from trying to 'help' behind the bar! MOL 

The grey cat behind the bar is Thriftee Manx. She's a little hissed off because Amber asked her for a quadruple, then politely said, "I'll get my own."

Game On!!!

A whimsical village‑green cricket scene featuring anthropomorphic cats dressed in vintage British attire. Parsley, Melvyn, and Smooch stand together near the boundary, watching the match unfold as other cats play cricket in period clothing. The Vintage Car Parade

The classic vehicles—each with playful licence plates like “MEW 9,” “PURR 77,” “FLUFF 2,” and “CAT 383”—move past cheering crowds of cats waving Union Jack flags. Colourful bunting, flower displays, and stalls for refreshments, music, and community events frame the scene, creating a joyful, nostalgic atmosphere as part of Melvyn’s Birthday Extravaganza at the Mewton‑Clawson Car Rally.

Just look at them, what a show!!!


Dancing in the Marquee

A joyful celebration unfolds inside a large marquee tent at the Mewton‑Clawson Vintage Rally & Village Fête, where anthropomorphic cats dressed in elegant vintage clothing dance together beneath strings of lights and colourful bunting. A band of cats performs on the “Marquee Stage,” while others enjoy tea, cakes, and pastries laid out on tables in the foreground. The lively scene blends music, community, and old‑fashioned charm, capturing the festive spirit of Melvyn’s Birthday Extravaganza at the Epically Epic Mewton‑Clawson Car Rally.

The Purr Tops Band will play all night, so dance the night away!


Time For Cake
