Happy Wednesday, and thank mew so much for stopping by. Pull up a chair, get comfortable, and let’s dive into what’s been happening at BBHQ over the last few days.

Sorry we're late commenting on all your epic blogs; we ran out of time over the last week or so, but we've got everypawdy's blog open in a tab group and will start working our way through over the next few days to catch up. We can't wait to see what mew've all been up to! MOL

The Weather Report

Not much to report; temps have been steadily hovering around 20C, up and down a little. There have been a few rain showers, nothing of note though. It's much cooler at night, and the evenings are really drawing in; yep, we don't like that at all. We like it light till 10.30pm every night! MOL

We keep seeing Supurr El Nino reports, with horrific doomsday predictions of incoming gigantor weather of the hostile variety... hmmmmm... I suppose all we can do is watch this space and see what happens; hopefully it's just a nice clement winter, with enough rainfall to top up the reservoirs for next summer with no snow or ice. This scenario would be right up our alley! MOL

This Week's Flower Offering

It's like a magical pink starburst!

This dahlia is one of our favourites; it is so pretty in real life. The shades of pink are incredible, but I think we were lucky that the light was purrfect to capture it in all its glory on the proper camera!

This is a lucky ladybird. The P.A. saw it crawling next to her foot under the table a second before she moved, and thank cod she did; otherwise it would have been no more ladybird...

The P.A. lowered her hand to the ground, let it crawl onto her finger, and safely relocated the ladybird to the yellow daisy, where it scooted around the underside of the petals.

So cute!

First up in the news...

 Fudge's Amble In The Courtyard

Fudge was taking a little stroll in the courtyard and airing out his behemoth floof.

The P.A. said, thank cod this bit was NOT the weedy part of the courtyard. 

Yep, the weeds have been growing supurr fast the last couple of weeks, and no sooner has the hoe come out and said "weeds removed" than a whole new swathe of green appears among the stones! MOL

Next up in the news...

Smooch Says - NO - Leave My Shroom Alone

The P.A. has moved the BBHQ office around and wanted to move the Shroom... Yeah, Smooch had other ideas.

This is his silent protest! MOL

The standoff still continues; more on this story next time - maybe! 

Finally this week...

 Parsley's Loving The Lawn

The lawn has greened up no end over the last couple of weeks, and the clover has spread, creating a lush green carpet which has pleased the P.A. tremendously, as from this angle it looks really, really good; just don't walk towards the trees in the background unless mew want to be engulfed with feelings of horrific lawn disappointment!!! MOL 

 Parsley loves the lawn, although the P.A. had to pick him up and relocate him as he was near an ant's nest!

The Weather Report

Oh my, it turned rather warm again yesterday, a heady 25C, lovely but no breeze. The last few days have also been very nice around 20C, utterly delightful. No rain, but that's on its way later today, and three days are forecast early next week.

So the weather is being well behaved, and zero complaints from BBHQ! MOL

This Week's Flower Offering

Sorry, no flowers today, but the trees are gorgeous, and the pink sky behind was just so pretty the other evening.

And to think 26 years ago, there wasn't a tree here... A quarter of a century later, it's like a mini woodland vibe... yeah, it's lovely.

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news...

 Parsley's Bathing Under the Gazebo

So the other day, freshly laundered blankets went on the sofa under the gazebo.

Parsley wasted no time getting ensconced on that fresh blanket for a bath!! MOL 

Next up in the news...

Smooch and Melvyn - Treat Time

At bedtime, the treats come out, and guess who got there first? Yep, these two heathens! MOL

And look how they positioned themselves; that's because the P.A. gives them a few each, and they've discovered that if they are back to back, they are more likely to eat everything they've been given. 

Facing one another, this happens: Fudge will edge forward, hoover up everything in front of him, then back up and eat his. Yeah, very sneaky, but so Fudge!

Finally this week...

 Fudge On The Prowl

Don't ask what Fudge was prowling around the top of the fence for... we asked; he replied.

"Classified!"

Pandora reckoned he was stalking a pigeon. Here's hoping he doesn't get served with a restraining order anytime soon!!! MOL

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday, and thank mew so much for stopping by. Pull up a chair, get comfy, and let’s dip into what’s been occurring at BBHQ over the last few days.

The Weather Report

It has been pretty much the same as last week, although on Monday morning we had the finest drizzle we've ever seen, so fine it almost didn't exist; it was so bizarre. The P.A. had to look several times before she realised what it was; at one point she thought she should go get her glasses! MOL

 

If we could describe it lyrically and sensorily, it would be this: 

A whisper of rain, soft enough to make mew doubt your own eyes, drifted through the morning air. It moved like a secret suspended between sky and earth, shimmering, almost imaginary. The kind of drizzle that makes mew pause, squint, lean forward, wondering whether the world has slipped into a dream.

And good news... the next few days are a mix of showers and sunshine around the 20C mark, so still nice.

This Week's Flower Offering

OMC!!!

The colour of this impatiens is so vivid... neon pink with scarlet red. They are absolutely incredible... and if mew hadn't guessed, the P.A. loves red, pink, and white flowers! MOL

Parsley's Making Biscuits

Parsley had an utterly furbulous time making biscuits on this blanket... yep, this is his new favourite blanket; he adores being ankle-deep in fluff! MOL 

Next up in the news...

Fudge and Smooch on The Deck

It was sunny; Smooch was in one of his favourite plant pots again when Fudge ambled by and said.

"Dude, mew smell like lavender!"

Smooch said, "Yes, it's very calming; now fluff off and let me be calm, unless mew've got snacks, then mew can stay!" MOL

Finally this week...

Pandora's in The Sitting Room

Pandora had just had her brush, so she's looking less Ewok and more silky smooth! 

It took six years for the P.A. to finally get Pandora to like being brushed, and now, well, let's just say she's got her eye on Parsley's brand-new tangle teaser - yep, it's true.

The P.A. demo-ed it on her, and the reaction was incredibly favourable.

We're not sure whether to tell Parsley right now! MOL
