Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

How's your week going? 

Last week we mentioned we may plant some seeds if it got a bit warmer, and it has remained relatively nice, so yesterday we got the sweet peas in a little pot of water to enliven them before sowing them, and we also sorted out the peppers too. In previous years, we have also sowed the pepper seeds too late, as apparently they need five months to crop, so we're well ahead of the game this year.

And we don't know about mew, but there are no tomatoes in the shops right now, so we may even start some of those early next month. We grow them every year, and this year we've got a new spot to try when it's warm enough outside to grow them on, so we'll let mew know how that's going later in the season.

This year the beans are going back in the raised beds in the courtyard, as it gets really hot there, and we may try the courgettes there too.

Smooch Ambushing Pandora on the Millwheel

Pandora was minding her own business as Smooch - see the action shot above - jumped up to ambush her. She wasn't bothered and promptly vacated the millwheel at top speed, and if mew're wonder how fast Pandora is, check out her video here on TikTok.

Parsley's Stink Eye in The Fitness Room

We don't know what Parsley's boggle was here! 

The P.A. had been cleaning in the fitness room, and he wandered in, sat down and gave her the stink eye, purrhaps it was because he thought she should be working out instead of tidying up! MOL

And finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

How's your week going? 

It was much warmer here the last week, up to a heady 12C on Monday, but the temperature dropped on Tuesday, and we're back to frosty, single digit day temperatures and minus at night.

What we really want to know is, where the fluff is Spring?

Anyhoo, we do hope mew all had an epically epic Valentine's Day, ours was nicely sedate, and we spent most of it in front of the fire! MOL

We've also got lots of seeds to plant, but it's far too cold, although we may set some sweet peas and peppers this weekend and bring them into the house, on a warm windowsill.

Are mew planting anything right now?

First up in the news 

Smooch Climbing Through The Lavender

Don't ask us why Smooch was on the lavender wall, trying to climb through the plants! 

We're not quite sure what was going through his mind, as the wall isn't really wide enough for a tripawed cat to traverse easily.

Next up in the news

Parsley's Sunny Garden Safari

On Monday we even got some sunshine, so Parsley really had a good time outside on his sunny garden safari, and we bet he was absorbing extra warms with that sleek, black coat! 

And finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

We do hope mew had a lovely Easter weekend, ours was fab, it was nice and warm outside which leads to our first story.

First up in the news this week

Pandora got in one of the garden recliners just to test it out, of course! 

A couple of hours later she was still there, curled up in a ball.

What a life! MOL

Next up in the news

Melvyn doesn't go outside often, but as it was such nice weather he decided a mini garden safari was in order.

He doesn't go out because he's a bit of a liability and likes to wander off around the village, which is a big no no. So it's only when the P.A. and Dad are home and they can watch him and block off any seemingly easy escape routes out of the garden that he's allowed some outside priviledges.

Finally this week

Mew remember last weeks post, Smooch and Parsley had a tag team system going to keep the catnip plants warm?

Dad took the protective cover off the garden bench at the weekend, so Smooch said he needed to test the bench was all ok after a long winter undercover, and then he decided that he could still protect the catnip from this angle! MOL

The catmint is growing fabulously. We have several plants in various locals around the BBHQ garden.

Parsley was rather busy going around the garden to each plant and testing the new catmint shoots. He really did have the best job that day!

Angel Snowie Deep In The Jungle on The Sunday Selfies & Caturday Art Blog Hops

Welcome to another selfie selection and today our theme is:

Angel Snowie Deep In The Jungle

Snowie loved going on garden safari's, and doing a spot of burd watching and mice monitoring while she was there! 

We're also joining in the lovely Athena's Art Hop so do stop by and show off your pawesome arty-farty skills.

The effect was created with Befunky - Cartoonizer 1 + colour changes to hue and saturation.

We also turned this fab arty-farty picture into a puzzle, so do stop by the puzzle page and see if mew can beat our time of 10 mins 03 secs.  Only slightly quicker than last weeks! MOL

Anyhoo it's time for us to go and snoopervise the P.A. in the garden as yesterdays wind and rain battered some of the flowers knocking them down, we even had a hail shower on Friday for about 15 minutes, very strange weather indeed, so we'll sign off and hope mew have a totally terrific day, and we look forward to seeing mew on the morrow.
