Happy Festive Friday Pawesome Pals

Today, as it's the last Friday of the month and 2024, we're joining in the furbulous Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop.

And we thought we'd share some epically epic festive photo fails with mew from deep, deep, deep in the BBHQ photo archive, so the following selection is from way, way back in the noughties! 

We're featuring Angel's Humphrey, Posie and Snowie, as well as Amber and myself, so the original B Team from back in the day!

It was Catmas 2008 when a friend of the P.A.'s sent a Santa Paws jacket for us, and obviously, we had never worn anything like it, EVER!

Anyhoo, mew'll soon see what we thought of it! MOL

First up is Amber.

Amber will be so annoyed we shared this most unflattering photo.

She was not a happy camper, and let me tell mew, we think this is the incident which sparked the epic crotchiness! MOL

Next up is Angel Snowie.

Angel Snowie was the only one not to flop over and have a hissy fit.

And now it's my turn! MOL

Oh dudes, I had the biggest hissy fit ever! MOL

And finally, Angel Humphrey.

Angel Humphrey just collapsed on the floor like this and didn't move, he said. "Never again am I being subjected to that!"

Then he added.

"Just give me my flack jacket instead!"

It would have been impossible to put the jacket on Angel Posie; well, let me say this, fingers would have been lost in the process! MOL

So here's an Angel Posie Photo Fail from December 2004.

Laser eyes at their finest, and I'm sure she would have incinerated the tree for being made to pose for this! MOL

And finally, we have a brand new contender in the Catmas Photo fails, and that is Melvyn, from 2020.

We'll let the picture speak for itself!!! MOL MOL 

Yep, this is our new favourite after Amber!!! MOL

Here are the P.A.'s answers:

1. Receiving a super special art print from Cat Dad was the highlight of my Christmas ( or Hanukkah). I'll share it once it's been framed. It is gorgeous and, of course, cat-themed, but which cat? LOL I'll let you guess in the comments.

2. I ate too much __________________ on Christmas ( or Hanukkah). Actually, I didn't eat too much of anything, and at the time of typing this, we still haven't eaten the Christmas pudding! LOL I think we'll save it for Sunday lunch.

3. Even though Christmas Day has passed, I am enjoying the break. This year has been frenetic, and the downtime is so appreciated. My 2024 has been a whirlwind of so much to do and so little time to do it. In fact, I'm surprised - epically surprised - I've managed to keep the blog on course. I know I've missed a few weeks here and there of jumping in the blog hops, but sadly, some days, I just can't go near the computer anymore. I try my best to visit and comment, and hopefully, in 2025, I'll get a bit more time to be a little more proactive in that department.

4. I’d still like to _________ before this year is over. In this moment, right now, I can't actually think of anything I want to do before 2025 ambushes me. One thing I will do is finish the new book I'm reading on my Kindle.

1. The best part of 2023 was spending it with my hubby and of course, The B Team! 

2. My focus word for 2024 is WRITE! I've got several projects on the go that need completion - LOL - let's see if I can do it!

3. A new year is a great time to start a bit of decluttering and deeper cleaning. Both of these are on my to-do list.

4. You don’t have to wait for a new year to do anything, as in the famous words of NIKE; JUST DO IT!

Welcome to our Friday Fluffers post where we showcase a selection of photo bloopers or photo fails from BBHQ, the photos that we thought would neffur see the light of day, buried deep, deep, deep in the archives on level 12 of our secret bunker, with no chance of effur being seen on the interwebs fur the wurld to see... UNTIL NOW!

Angel Posie's Fluffy Fail

Posie wasn't the most lady-like of cats, she would always sleep like this! MOL

We feel a fig leaf is in order.

Angel Humphrey's Santa Paws Fail

 Date: December 2009

Poor Humphrey, he just wasn't cut out to wear a Santa Paws jacket and he protested most vehemently by laying totally inert on the kitchen floor! MOL

 Angel Snowie's Sneaky Fail

Date: November 2007

Snowie loved getting into boxes, and she would also sneak under things and then spy on mew. In this pic she'd managed to get herself under the papers in the box and didn't think anybody knew where she was! MOL

4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be titled _________.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. A sight I would like to unsee is __________________________. There are too many to mention, but I will say any horror movie I've had the terrible misfortune to stumble upon while watching/flicking through the tv channels would fit into this category.

2. I plan to try and paint the vintage wine pump before the summer is over. It needs pressure washing, then sanding, undercoating and glossing. But if it doesn't get done, then it'll just go on the list again for next summer! LOL (It's been on the list for two years - sssshhhhhh!)

3. I sometimes forget that having more than a couple of cats isn’t considered normal by most. Now, I know some of you have way more cats than me, and I love that, as seriously I'd have oodles more if possible. Years ago, if anyone asked how many cats I had, and I replied six, they'd look at me like I was deranged. It's not so bad now, as cats pretty much rule the internet.

4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be titled Apathy Reigns Supreme. I think that says it all, I am hoping this is just a mid-life phase, and I can get my zest back at some point.
