*waves paw*
Hello gorgeous library guests, welcome to my private library and my 100th Book Review!
Like wow, seriously I can't believe I've shared 100 reviews with mew, my supurr gorgeous furriends, I do hope mew've enjoyed them as much as I've enjoyed sharing them! Thank mew all from the bottom of my heart fur joining me as I share my love of books, mew have no idea how much I appreciate your company effury week.
Now this will be my last review until September when I'll be back with a brand new selection of books specially paw picked just fur mew, and as mew can see I'm all set fur a summer stay-cation here in Mewton-Clawson by the Sea.
But before I pop off and get young Melvyn started on his Summer Internship as my P.A. [his furst task is to get me a rather jolly Mandarin Niptini while he puts up the parasol, and then gets my sun lounger ready] it's time fur the Give-Away!

And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.
This week I'm sharing
The
Timeless Teachings of Guru Zuzu
as told to
Tony Broadbent
Tony Broadbent
Here's a small snippet of the book blurb:
When author Tony Broadbent began observing his cat Zuzu in all her daily wanderings, he found she led him to new pathways of thought, new insights, and an unexpected trove of wisdom.
In tribute to the beloved little Bombay pussycat he took as his teacher, Tony has collected some of the teachings of Guru Zuzu into this enchanting little book.

**Furstly I have to let mew all know that I was given a free copy of this book in exchange fur a fair review**
I loved this little book, the gems of wisdom are pawesome; Guru Zuzu was THE MASTER!
One of my fav quotes is on page 36 and it begins...
NEVER FORGET
WHO AND WHAT
YOU ARE

There are 5 more lines, but mew know I'm not going to spoilerize it fur mew! MOL
This is one of those books that mew read and suddenly mew remember to take a breath and furget about the hustle and bustle of 21st-century life - read the quotes, resonate with them, then feel refreshed and invigorated. Look at the cute illustrations and smile, as they will make mew smile.
Would I recommend it to mew? If mew're looking fur a little inspiration, or purrhaps a different purrspective in your life I think mew'll really enjoy Guru Zuzu's wisdom, I know I did.
A really clever, interesting and entertaining little book.
Many thanks to Monique the Publicity Director at New World Library fur sending me a copy.

Sadly it's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back as I said earlier, in the furst week of September but in the meantime I'm going to take Guru Zuzu's advice on page 26.
And don't furget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.

Sounds like a good book.
ReplyDeleteAnd WOW, 100 reviews!
That sounds like an interesting and inspirational book.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy and relaxing staycation, Amber, and make sure you keep young Melvyn on his toes. Congratulations, and that is a great giveaway to celebrate your 100th review!
So many people believe cats are all instinct - but Bear has taught me more about what it means to live and love than anything else - living or not. I'm going to have to look into the Zuzu book!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 100 reviews. You've reviewed some really interesting books. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the wonderful book reviews, they have lead me to some wonderful reading adventures!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound good sweet Amber and congrats on your 100th review!
ReplyDeleteFirstly I have to say *******CONGRATULATIONS******* on 100 books reviewed! That has to be up there with eating ones first 100 mice.. . . . OK maybe the mice weren't as literary exciting as the books, but they were fun. What a great book to end on—and who doesn't need some zen from Guru ZUZU in their lives. I for one will be heading over and buying my copy, ASAP.
