Welcome To
With Amber ~ The Best Library Kitty in the entire Mewton~Clawson Parish
*waves paw*
Hello gorgeous library guests and welcome to my private library
Before we dive into this weeks book, our fabulous pals from Scrumble's; mew remember we reviewed their delicious cat food last year... well this year, the team added some lovely advent calendars to their growing inventory.
Plus they are donating 50p from the sale of every one to a local anipal charity in London; Wood Green Rescue and if mew buy one, mew have the option to donate £5 to the same charity at the time of purchase - we love that idea, mew get daily treats and homeless anipals get a little extra help offur the Catmas period.
Click here to visit the Scrumble's Charity Advent Calendar page for cats.
We love the **warning** on their website #ABSOLUTELYHILARIOUS
Each window contains one of two healthy cat treats.
This so applies to Melvyn who goes on solo midnight feast missions at least once a week [he says he's on a bulking session right now]. The P.A. & Dad then find the evidence of his nocturnal picnicking activities at various locals in the morning! #PropurrHardcoreHeathen
But anyhoo, young Melvyn's snatch and grab aside, this advent calendar is all mine and NOPE I'm not sharing with any of those other heathens, and I shall be locking it up in my library for safe keeping!
BACK AWAY FROM THE ADVENT CALENDAR IF MEW KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR MEW!
Many thanks to Scrumble's for sending it just for me; mew guys are epic and I hope your fundraiser is a pawesome success!

And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.
This week I'm sharing
Here's A Small Snippet of the Book Blurb:
Since her only daughter left for college, widow Pamela Paterson has kept busy as associate editor of a craft magazine and founder of the Knit and Nibble knitting club in quaint Arborville, New Jersey. Now, she's trying out a new hobby--solving murders!
>^.^<
Well if mew are avid followers of my reviews, mew know how much I love a cozy mystery, especially if its got cats in!
Furstly I have mention how much I adore the cover and if mew check out the other books in the series [5 in total], those covers are gorgeous too, but I digress, if mew love knitting, obviously this is for mew, but if mew're not a knitter, don't be put off at all as this is for everyone who loves a cozy mystery.
I really liked the setting, it has likeable characters, though the black cat didn't really have much to do with the mystery, but still its a cute kitty! The plot rattles along with plenty of twists and turns to keep mew guessing and there were a few laughs too.
Overall a good, solid start to a fun new series, and I'll definitely be getting book 2, Died in the Wool on my next book buying foray.
So if mew're in the market for a new cozy mystery series, give this a try, I'm sure mew'll enjoy it.

I need to get a kitty advent calendar!
ReplyDeleteThat calendar is very cool and Melvyn, you're quite the character pal. That book sounds good and the title is really cute!
ReplyDeleteNo advent here, but I do celebrate the full 365 days, MOL
ReplyDeleteNow that book sounds just the thing for Mrs H, though as she is dropping a lot of stitches and the like at the moment, I think best leave it till AFTER the Black Fiday Sherry Sales, ;)

That is a nice Advent calendar, and it is good that Wood Green benefits from it.
