 Epic Greetings Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

And finally, the second heatwave has passed, and it's a little cooler at BBHQ, although we still haven't had any rain. The Met Office has said there could be thunderstorms and bucket loads of rain, but so far none of these have appeared yet, although we are only on Chewsday, so there's still time. Just as long as the rain comes in a nice gentle pitter patter all will be well! MOL

First up in the news this week

Pandora's New Daybed

Mew may remember that this was Amber's orange pom pom daybed from 2017. Anyhoo Amber decided she didn't want it anymore and gave it to Pandora, who promptly said, "I don't do orange!"

So the P.A. decided to make it pink, what do mew think?

The fabric she used was a single bedspread that cost £2.95 from a charity shop. It was brand new, so an utter bargain for that much fabric.

Next up in the news

Smooch is Nesting

Mew may remember back in July when we revealed who The Phantom Plant Squasher was?

Well, it turns out that Parsley isn't the only one who likes to nest in the grass pots. Smooch has also taken to nesting in the last couple of weeks.

If mew saw Monday's Gardening with Cats post, and the area of the garden we're working on at the moment, once the new raised beds are finished, the two pots with the grass nests are being transplanted.

Don't worry, we've got lots of baby grasses growing to add to the pots again, so they won't be short of any cat nests, they'll just have more.

Finally this week

Melvyn Wears The Next Top Pick Bandana

Last week, Melvyn wore the yellow Funky Cat bandana, this week he's wearing the number two pick which was a tie between the Space and the Stars designs. So today he chose to model the Space design furst.

Doesn't he look epic, and that expression is his new 'Blue Steel' look and for those of mew who don't know what a Blue Steel look is, watch the movie Zoolander.

Check out his latest catwalk show on TikTok, he's comin' in hot! MOL

If mew have any questions for us, about anything, ask away, and we'll answer on next week's post.

Plus we'll also answer any questions left in the comments over the last few days in this section too.

Question: Have you visited the Isle of Wight?

No, it's one place the P.A. has always wanted to visit but hasn't got there yet! Going on holiday is impossible now nanny can't catsit anymore, and the B Team has never stayed in a cattery. The P.A. thinks it would probably traumatise them too much now.

Just be grateful that it was only mud that Smooch was rolling in. Eric had an obsession with sticky black pheasant poop!

Oh, nice NOT!

The P.A. used to have a Jack Russell called Daisy who was quite partial to rolling in fox poop given the chance - EWWWWWWW  - so we feel your pain at the clean stage!

Your love of fabrics is like when I go to a craft show...that turns on my 'I want button'!

Oh definitely craft markets too, and crystal fairs and markets - these places are all Kryptonite and resistance is futile.

I didn't know you were so responsive to questions. Next time I have one, I WILL meow it.

Sadly we don't have the time at the moment to reply to all our blog comments like we used to, so we figured this was the next best way to interact with our epically epic furiends and readers.

That's us done for today, we will be back on Friday with some more fluffers, and if mew missed Monday's post click here to catch up on our latest Gardening with Cats and see how we made a cute fairy garden.

  1. Pandora's new daybed is epic! Your P.A. is so talented!

Smooch, YOU'RE also a phantom plant squasher? Who knew? :-D

Melvyn, we think you look good in ANY bandana. SO handsome!

  2. The day bed makeover is lovely, and Pandora looks as happy as Larry in it. I wonder who Larry was! We have cooled down to normal summer temperatures now with a high of 20. Thunderstorms were forecast for the first three days this week but never materialised. Yesterday was heavy rain which caused a lot of flooding.

  3. Thank you for responding to my question: I have friends on the Isle of Wight, but didn't get a chance to visit them when I was in London a few years ago. Next trip to the UK will have to be 2-3 weeks long, so I can hit all of the places I want to, including Wales, Scotland, The Lake District, and every art museum in London...just to name a few. There are at least two railroad stations with attendant cats too; those are a MUST SEE.

  4. I love the daybed. It's in my favorite colors too.

Have a purrfect day. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. ♥

  5. The daybed looks very nice! Melvyn looks spiffy in the bandana. And cute pictures of Pandora and Smooch!

  6. You all look fabulous and that new bed looks amazing!

  7. Wow, that daybed looks so regal, and Pandora is basking there like she is the Queen herself!

  8. Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches to the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥

  9. OOOH...Smooch is adorable!!!
