Furbulous Sunday greetings furiends
Welcome to another BBHQ selfie extraordinare, and today the entire B Team is back sharing;
The B Team's King Arthur Selfie at Tintagel
Mew may notice that Smooch is sitting on Fudge's tail, he said and I quote, "Dude I didn't want to get a cold bum on the rocks!"
I can't repeat Fudge's reply, as we're a furmily friendly blog! MOL
We love the Arthurian legends of old, and thought this week we'd jump in the Time Travelling Telephone Box and go to Cornwall, and indulge in a bit of fandom for the Great King Arthur!
The Gallos statue is 2.4m or 7ft 10" tall, therefore we did have to use a little photoshop wizardry so mew could actually see us! MOL
Here's a little info:
Tintagel is a small village in Cornwall, England, and mew definitely want to add the Gallos King Arthur statue to your list of must-see attractions. This impressive bronze statue stands tall at the entrance of Tintagel Castle, which is said to be the birthplace of King Arthur.
The statue, created by sculptor Rubin Eynon, depicts King Arthur holding his legendary sword, Excalibur, with one hand and a shield with his coat of arms in the other. The intricate details of the armour and the facial expression of the statue truly capture the strength and bravery of this legendary dude.
As mew stand in front of the statue, mew can't help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for the mythical king who, according to legend, fought bravely for his people and defended his kingdom against all odds. It's no wonder that Tintagel has become a popular destination for those interested in Arthurian mythology.
Whether mew're a die-hard fan of King Arthur or simply appreciate beautiful art, the Gallos King Arthur statue is definitely worth a visit. What an epically epic a testament to the enduring legacy of this iconic dude and a reminder of the power of myth and legend to capture the imagination of generations.
This dude was truly EPICALLY EPIC, and The B Team does bow to his greatness!
We're also joining in Athena's Fabulous Art Hop so do stop by and show off your pawesome arty-farty skills.
The effect was created with the ios Prisma App, and we used the effect:- Spring plus changes to shadows, then we added a vignette filter to darken the edges while keeping the brightness in the centre of the picture.
We also turned this fab arty-farty picture into a puzzle, so do stop by the puzzle page and take the Puzzle Challenge, see if mew can beat our time of 12 mins 40 secs.
Anyhoo we're off to do a spot of reclining in a cool shady spot, as the temperature decided to climb yesterday. We've got several fans ruffling our fur, keeping it cool and we think the P.A. might make us some of these yummy frozen tuna treats after she's cooked lunch, and Smooch has had his roast beef.
We'll be back tomorrow with another fab Brain Training post, and if mew missed Amber's latest book review, click here to catch up on the epic series she's been reading.
Also, we'll be announcing the winner of my birthday giveaway on Wednesday's post, so don't miss that, as it could be mew!
We do hope mew have an epic day, and remember to...

I wasn't sure if the statue was real
ReplyDeleteOOH. that is a totally epic selfie, mew guys! That statue is pretty amazing. XO
ReplyDeleteThat is a great selfie and location. I can't believe I didn't know about that statue! Tintagel is only about an hour from us and we go most years for a day trip, but out of season to avoid the crowds. I would have been able to visit it in the first couple of years after installation, but now my mobility is too bad to get there.
ReplyDeleteThat is a most epically spiffing selfie, guys. Although, if mew hadn't told Us that statue was meant to be King Arthur, We probably would not have guessed. To us, it looks like one of the ghostly people under the mountain in the LOTR films - or even like one of the Nazgƻl.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image!
ReplyDeleteWatched a TV special about recent archaeological finds at Tintagel; definitely a spot to visit when we travel to the UK in the future.
Off to puzzle, thanks.
Thank you for your kind words about our sweet Angel Raz. We miss him so much.
