 Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday, fluffy furiends, here's hoping your midweek is utterly epic!

The weather is still all over the place, warm, hot, cooler, showers, wind, no wind, mew get the picture. The good news is there's been a little more rain, still not enough to really make a difference to the Serengeti, which the BBHQ garden has become this summer, but better than nothing. So all in all, a total mixed bag of a little bit of everything! MOL

Cat dad finished building the actual deck. Sorry, there are no photos this week. There are a few minor things to finish, so we'll share when those have been completed, but we will say it looks pretty epic right now.

Here are this week's flower offerings. First up is the spiky pale pink dahlia. The colour in real life is stunning, as the pink morphs into a delicious lemon yellow colour, ah, Mother Nature, isn't she EPIC!

Large pink dahlia in full bloom at BBHQ, with elongated petals radiating from a peach-toned center, surrounded by lush green serrated foliage. Set in a garden with gravel and outdoor furniture in the background, this vibrant summer flower captures the elegance of cottage garden blooms and is ideal for floral photography, dahlia care tips, and seasonal gardening inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

Look at this white standard rose, it's gorgeous!

Cluster of large white roses in full bloom at BBHQ, with delicately curled petals glistening with water droplets. Hanging gracefully from a leafy bush in a lush garden setting, these elegant flowers contrast beautifully against the deep green foliage and branches. Ideal for floral photography, rose care inspiration, and seasonal garden content from www.bionicbasil.com

We mentioned this rose earlier in the summer, as it was the one that Cat Dad slaughtered, sorry, pruned rather brutally. The P.A. thought they were dead, but no, the two standards had far more gumption than that and came back better than ever!

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week

 Fudge Under The Gazebo

Fudge, BBHQ’s ginger tabby cat, relaxing on a light fabric cushion in a sunlit outdoor nook. Facing away with his head turned slightly, his rich orange fur and soft striping glow in the natural light. A wicker basket filled with red and white plush toys and a fringed white tablecloth add to the serene, cottage-style setting. Ideal for cat lifestyle photography, ginger tabby content, and cozy home inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

Fudge enjoyed his afternoon under the gazebo. It was a bit overcast, so he got snuggled next to the P.A. and listened to her rambling on about not getting the rose arch installed. He kept nodding in the appropriate places before he finally fell asleep from boredom! MOL

Next up in the news

Melvyn's Supurr Sunny Sunspot

Melvyn, BBHQ’s relaxed tabby and white cat, basking in a sunbeam on a striped rug near a glass door. His sleek fur and stretched-out pose capture a peaceful moment in a cozy indoor setting, with natural light highlighting his serene expression. Ideal for cat lifestyle photography, tabby cat content, and home décor inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

Melvyn was really enjoying himself in the catservatory the other morning; he found a lovely sunspot to bathe in!

Finally this week

 Smooch's Not A Happy Camper

Smooch, BBHQ’s white cat with distinctive black markings, sits calmly on a textured woven rug in a sunlit room. Wearing a red collar with a bell, he gazes off to the side with a relaxed expression. The light wooden floor and dark furniture in the background create a cozy indoor setting. Ideal for cat lifestyle photography, tuxedo cat content, and home décor inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

Smooch was not a happy camper; it would appear that he's rather annoyed that the weather has cooled somewhat and there have been intermittent showers ruining his garden pawtrols!

Apparently, he's asked Humphrey to create a weather machine so we get the purrfect micro-climate at BBHQ all year round! MOL

Snowie's Like A Fluffy Cloud

Snowie the pure white cat, stands proudly on a rustic wooden fence with a red-tiled roof and chimney in the background. Wearing a collar with a tag, she gazes directly at the camera under a clear blue sky, embodying feline curiosity and rooftop adventure. Ideal for outdoor cat photography, tabby cat content, and garden lifestyle inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

Wow, this one's a real oldie; it was back in about 2004.

Snowie was such a gorgeous girl, and this is one of our all-time favourite photos of her, when she was on the back fence and looked like a little fluffy cloud as she bipped along! MOL

And if mew want more Snowie content, she was this week's guest on Behind the Floof. Just click the link in the next section to read more.

  1. Messing with the weather isn't really a good idea, no one would want rain on their birthday and then it would never rain anywhere and look at the fix we'd be in.

Your flowers are a delight and your photos are awesome, I pray you get just enough rain to help your garden with not a drop too much.

  10. I wish our front porch would be rehabbed into a deck like affair, to make it more useable. Right now its just a porch...blah! And our back porch which is a very miniature deck should be enlarged and extended to make a lovely sitting area...but there are two problems: Our bodies are not young anymore and the budget doesn't have a slot for this at all...
Our patio pots are getting all scraggly, but not for lack of water, they are stressed from all the hots we had in July and early August.
Even our dahlias are not enjoying themselves. Your pink one is gorgeous!

  11. The photos of everyone and the flowers are lovely. We have had rain the last week or so, torrents of it! It has been so heavy it has caused widespread flooding, but too heavy to benefit the garden. In fact, the rain along with the strong wind has taken off the rose petals which are now strewn all over the garden.
