1.___________________ keeps me up at night.
2. If I could improve one of my senses, it would be _____________________.
3. If I were home alone and heard footsteps in the house, I would _________.
4. I would want the epitaph on my tombstone to say _________.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1.___________________ keeps me up at night. Not a lot does these days; if the world were ending, that would, or if any of The B Team were unwell, that would.

2. If I could improve one of my senses, it would be my sixth.

3. If I were home alone and heard footsteps in the house, I would grab a gun or a bat or the closest weapony thing I could find.

4. I would want the epitaph on my tombstone to say: She Loved Her Cats, and husband of course! LOL

 Familiar Spirits

Twilight Hollow Witchy Cozy Mysteries Book 1

by

Sara Christene

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:

Welcome to Twilight Hollow, WA, a small forest town with three resident witches. Adelaide O’Shea runs the Toasty Bean, imbuing her coffee and tea with warm, cozy magic. When a black cat crosses her path, she worries her new pet might be unlucky, and her suspicions are confirmed when the next thing in her path is a dead man with her phone number in his pocket.

Mew may remember a couple of weeks ago that I said I'd purchased a new Kindle paperwhite as my old one was difficult to read these days. Anyhoo I also decided to join the Kindle Unlimited programme as it is free for a 3-month trial and I thought NICE, free books for 90 days! MOL

Anyhoo, today's book is the first Kindle Unlimited title I have read. I've read a few more in the last couple of weeks and there was another that was vying for today's Halloween slot, but I chose this one instead.

Sara Christene is a new author to me, and I'd never heard of The Twilight Cozy Mystery series, so it was a great find. There are five books in the series, though at this point not having read any of the others, I can't say whether there will be more.

So what did I think of this new series?

I really enjoyed this; the plot is pacy and the characters start off well. And I know that there's a coffee shop, a witch, a murder and a cat, and while this might not be the most original of ideas the author has crafted a good, solid story with interesting characters and plenty of potential to expand in future volumes.

I'm not going to spoilerize any of the plot or characters in this first volume, but I do think it has the prospects at this point to be a really good, enjoyable series. Also, as it's only 140 pages long, it didn't take long to read. If mew're looking for a quick series and not a seemingly endless saga, this is pawesome. And I think the cover art is epic too!

In my humble opinion, this novel is the purrfect Sunday afternoon read on a rainy day, in front of the fire, with a cup of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows.

A Top Paw Read!

Welcome To

With Amber ~ The Best Library Kitty in the entire Mewton~Clawson Parish

Supurr spooky salutations pawesome furriends

*waves paw and broomsitck*

The Witching Hour is almost upon us!

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHAAAAA

Now I've got the obligatory cackling out of the way, let's talk books...

I've been searching for the ultimate kitty Halloween novel for ages and ended up in the really young readers section at amazon for this weeks top book pick...
...but quickly before we dive into book-wurld, I'll just mention that Pandora's and my joint Birthday Pawty is still raging in the bunker if mew want to stop by and have some cake, a drink or two and enter our fab Birthday Give-Away. We have a few pawty stragglers left in the forest but Deezul is doing his rounds and will herd them up in no time!  I did warn them not to drink Smooch's Mind Bender Nip Cocktail; see what happened here on New Years Eve 2017 when we had some, and I've just had new intel that since then Smooch has tweaked the formula! EEEK! OOPS! MOL!

And now I think it's time to share this weeks book.

Feline Fiction on Fridays #106 at Amber's Library @BionicBasil® The Witch's Cat and The Cooking Catastrophe

Here's A Small Snippet of the Book Blurb:

“One day, a witch’s cat found a dusty old cookbook, and it gave him the most marvellous idea...”
The witch has gone out, and inspired by the old cookbook, the cat is determined to knock up a super-scrumptious surprise lunch for her.

>^.^<

This little gem is aimed at the 1 - 6 year age group and it is absolutely fabulous.

The Cat is so cute and orange too, so mew know that instantly it gets extra marks! MOL  But seriously the illustrations are gorgeous, there's so much colour and life happening, its impossible not to like anything.

I think if mew have younger children, grand-kids, nieces, nephews etc... this would be a purrfect surprise Halloween gift, and it's completely sugar-free too! MOL
