Friday The 13th, Will It Effur Rain Again & Cat Fest London on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 257 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade Blog Hop and our weekly news round up!

Did mew know it's Friday the 13th today? Now we're vaguely supurrstitious here, though most of it falls by the wayside but there are some things we take heed of such as:

Not walking under ladders, well that's more fur purrsonal safety rather than supurrstition! MOL

If the P.A. knocks the salt pot offur, we make her throw a pinch [sack] of salt offur her shoulder.

We do not allow the P.A. to do any washing whatsoeffur on New Years Day, as supposedly mew wash away all your future luck fur the coming year.

And finally as it is Friday the 13th we have banned her from doing anything other than being wrapped up in a bubble-suit and staying confined to one room in the house and no, she's not allowed to do anything - well mew know how she is! MOL MOL
Mew may remember on Mondays post that we gave mew a little weather report/update [see Gardening with Cats link below] well it's been weeks and weeks since we had any rain, our water butts are nearly empty now so it looks like drastic action is needed.  We, aka all The B Team had a little meeting and decided that we needed to do a rain-dance, so this evening guess what?  Yep we're getting geared up, the drums are coming out and we will be honouring the Rain Gods, The Ancestors and The Great Goddess Bast in style; though funnily enough, we had to do the same thing in 2016 at the end of July, so wish us luck in getting some precipitation to fall MOL

This is what we looked like back then, with Angels Humphrey, Snowie and Posie... and yes we did get some rain aftur!

In other news, the P.A. and Dad were going to London tomorrow fur the furry furst Cat Fest, but it's too hot, the Wimbledon tennis finals are on and President Trump is in town so an extra gazillion police officers are about to quell any protests that make occur while he's here.

So many apologies that we won't be able to give mew a full report from Cat Fest, though our supurr buddies at www.katzenworld.com will hopefully be there, so we'll share the link to their Cat Fest experience when it goes live.

I was quite annoyed they decided not to go, but it'll be so horribly busy and sweaty down in the Big Smoke that really I can't blame them, much nicer to amble around the garden in Mewton-Clawson! MOL

and if mew're still bored get our free colouring books below:

Parsley will be here tomorrow with another Pet Peeves post and then we'll be back with our usual selfie selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then, in the meantime we wish mew all an epic weekend

Bestest purrs and big hugs

  1. I know a few other folks who are going to Cat Fest in London...oh, I wish I could go too! But with Wimbledon and whatnot...it's going to be bananas around there. Good luck, and tell us all about it, please.

  2. A Cat Fest!?! We are too far away to go. To it or to Wimbledon and with Mr Trump having just visited, I am sure there are all kinds of strange things happening.

  3. Too bad about not going to Cat Fest. Guess they’ll have to stay home and have their own Cat Fest!

  4. A rain dance is an EPICALLY EPIC idea! Maybe I can recruit the B Team to come to ORE-gon to do one here, too, so the emerald forests don't wilt and burn from the heat. I was hoping you and the Princess would be going to the fest so I could hear all about it from you. But I can understand if you don't want to deal with all the crazi"ness" that is in town at the same time. I'll sound the drums here, too, and will watch for rain clouds. Purrs.

  6. Yes, a rain dance certainly seems to be in order! It does sound like London would have been a mess, so good choice by the P.A. and Dad to stay home.

  7. Rain dancing! Yup we needed that here too, and soeone n=must have done it, cause we had a lot of rain and some drizzle-days too. Tomorrow will be cloudy, and wednesday is supposed to be glorious.
Sorry the heat wave kept you away from your planned outing. We had tickets for a big event here in town over our long weekend, but it also was so hot we only went for a short period. (A seven day event that had us there but three times{and only for the best parts of those days}, at least we didn't have to pay for those tickets as they had been gifted to us...and we go each year that way so we didn't miss too much we had not seen in the past. MOL!)

Best to stay cool, comfy and let others do the sweating!!
