Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and guess what?
I had a little trip into the garden again.
I know, totally shocking, right?! MOL
But it was pretty warm in the shelter of the patio. I was headed to the potting shed as the P.A. has been growing some extra tasty cat grass, and I wanted to sample it before slobber-chops Fudge got to it!
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. In May, I may _____________________.
2. Ten years ago, I was _________________________.
3. I hope for a future in which _________.
4. I would probably last _________ days in solitary confinement.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. In May, I may finally set up my copper pyramid. I purchased it in November last year and haven't set it up yet. In fact, I may set it up in the garden for the summer. If you're wondering what on earth is the P.A. doing with a copper pyramid? It is for meditation, it's 6ft high, and has a 4ft square base, its geometry is based on the taller Nubian pyramids, as the Giza-style mediation pyramid was too low to sit under, so I chose the taller version.
2. Ten years ago, I was MUCH YOUNGER! LOL
3. I hope for a future in which the governments stop feeding the world citizens with constant fear.
4. I would probably last quite a long time days in solitary confinement.
Today, as it's the last Friyay of the month, we're also joining in the furrbulous...
So do drop by the marvellous Mudpie's blog at www.mochasmysteriesmeows.com to join in.
Smooch caught red-pawed in the box of catnip! MOL
We think he's got a bit of a thing about catnip at the moment.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...
The Wrong Side of The Claw
Mystic Notch Cozy Mystery Series Book 7
by
Leighann Dobbs
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
When a string of robberies escalates to murder, Willa is baffled by the behavior of her sister, the county sheriff. Normally the gung-ho law woman would be all over the case, but she seems more interested in doing her nails and picking out jazz music instead.
Willa has no choice but to take it upon herself to investigate. After all, her sister’s reputation is at stake, and a killer is running loose around town. Plus she has a secret weapon—she can see ghosts. Talking to the spirit of a murder victim usually helps solve the case, but not this time. This ghost seems reluctant to help Willa out. Even her boyfriend, neighboring county sheriff Eddie Striker, can’t get the spirit of the victim to give them a straight answer.

Mew guys know how much I like this author and have reviewed many of her entertaining books, and this one is no exception. Yet, for the life of me, I don't know why I keep forgetting to review books 3 and 4, so I've booked them in for next month to make sure I finally do them.
Also, book 8 has been released on audio, so I might do that as well and finally finish the series to date.
See my other reviews here:
Book 3 A Mew to a Kill - not reviewed yet, booked in for 20th May 2022
Book 4 Paws and Effect - not reviewed yet, booked in for 27th May 2022
Whisker of a Doubt Book 6
I really enjoy the pace of these novels. The evergreen characters are great and keep evolving with each book, plus relationships grow and the dynamics between the cast change.
The plot is well thought out and I liked that the cats get more interesting as each book progresses; in this one, they have their biggest role to date.
There are obviously red herrings galore, oodles of twists and turns to keep mew guessing who the bad guy or gal is.
In my opinion, the Mystic Notch Cozy Mystery Series is one of the very best cat cozy mysteries available. And I know I've said it before, but I am going to say it again because I can and I will, I think this is:
A TOTALLY TOP PAW READ
- Audio: 4 hours 45 mins
- Paperback: 234 pages
