He's now adopted a new approach to catmint and catnip cultivation, which involves talking to the plants, as Vera, the bunker A.I., told him that playing music and speaking to the plants really helps with growth.
Fudge has also asked Humphrey to create a sound system that can be placed around the garden so the plants, flowers, and trees can experience ambient music, encouraging a harmonious environment for maximum output...

Fudge, you are truly a mancat among mancats! I began an epic swoon when I came upon you out whispering to the catmint. I hope all my mancats didn't happen on that confession to you however. Now my Mom has been taking to her gardenias especially since last Autumn and wrapping them and the camellia warmly up each time it has been below freezing. They are showing their gladness this Spring. The roses were happy all winter without being wrapped up in their night clothes as they don't mind some freezing. What do you think, Fudge? By the way, I am not surprised that Pandora is on the craft room with your Mom.

Your mum’s care for the gardenias and camellias sounds truly heroic, wrapping them up snug each time the frost threatened is exactly the sort of dedication Fudge approves of.
