Hello gorgeous library guests

and

Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ

Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and what a week it's been at BBHQ. We've had one storm yesterday and another one is coming in today; today's storm is coming with 100mph winds, I'm hoping it skirts around Mewton-Clawson as I really hate the wind.

This was me and Pandora on Wednesday morning going for breakfast, it was my first breakfast and Pandora's second or maybe even third! MOL

How many breakfasts do mew have at your house?

I remember Basil would sometimes have four breakfasts, and he never put any weight on, but he did spend a lot of time hunting down the field.

Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. It’s about time ______________________________.
2. An anecdote I like to tell is _______________________________.
3. I wish there was a way to _________ without _________.
4. Too many people take _________ for granted.

The P.A.'s answers are...

1. It’s about time I published something and finally, I have - see Amber's book review below! LOL

2. An anecdote I like to tell is; The time Basil caught a mole and left it for me as an offering in the middle of the rug in the sitting room. Or the other time he left me half a pigeon with entrails and a lot of feathers in the shower room. Not the kind of gifts I love, but you know what they say, it's the thought that counts! LOL

3. I wish there was a way to write books without typing, yes I know I could dictate it, sadly dictation doesn't work for me, but I was thinking more along the lines of thought transference, now wouldn't that be epic.

4. Too many people take time for granted. Sad but true; we never know how long we've got and time is the most valuable and precious commodity we have, spend it wisely with purrsons you love, and doing things you love.

Well, here I am reviewing a non-fiction book created by our very own P.A., who'd have thought she would go and create an A4 sized pet journal!

When I asked her why she'd decided to create a pet journal, she replied, "Because Amber, I wish I'd had something to document my life with Basil and all our other Rainbow Bridge kitties and all the current B Team memfurs too!"

And thinking about it, I can see her point, especially when she said, "I've got thousands upon thousands of photos of you and all The B Team on my phone, iPad and computer, yet very few of them are actually printed off and displayed or are easily accessible, and I would like a way to choose my favourite pictures to display so I can pick up one of the journals and look through all the amazing memories."

As I flicked through the pages, I really liked that there were practical sections to list: vet details. groomer details, pet sitter details, insurer details and emergency numbers. But my favourite parts were the more creative pages to add your favourite selfies, epically epic moments with my human, what I did for my pawlidays, my favourite things, and the special events pages to add photos for Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter, birthday and Halloween.

And the P.A. said, "And even if your pet is already at the Rainbow Realm, you can still use the journal to create a beautiful memory book, and add all your notes, stories and pictures, so for me, I'll be creating one for Basil and the other kitties too."

The special events sections can be coloured in as well as adding supurr photos to each page.

The Epically Epic Pet Journal - Special Event Pages by Cathrine Garnell ©BionicBasil®

There are monthly sections to add your favourite selfies and epically epic moments with your human, with enough space to write the date and any other info next to the picture.

The pawliday section is especially fun for pets who travel, there are 4 separate pawliday pages, and these can be used for day trips or longer vay-cays, and for stay at home pets, mew can create your very own stay-cation photos; whether that's by making a fun picnic in the garden for example or something fun indoors, these pages are really pawesome.

The Epically Epic Pet Journal - What I Did For My Pawlidays Page by Cathrine Garnell ©BionicBasil®1

There are lined pages for making notes and writing other exciting info about the life and times of your pet, plus mew can add stickers and use coloured pens, pencils etc to really make the journal your own.

All in all, I think the P.A. did a really pawesome job on the pet journal and what's great is that it's suitable for any pet, at any age.

She's also creating a kids version without the vet, groomer, insurance and pet sitter sections, so kids can create their own journals about growing up with their pet.

At the moment, The Epically Epic Pet Journal comes in five colours with a cute printed glitter effect cover: Red, Pale Pink, Black, Teal Blue or Gold. We only have samples of the black, teal and pink - see below. They are lovely and if mew don't believe me, just ask Erin the cat Princess, she has one already!

I know mew will think I'm totally biased as it's the P.A. who created it, but it is such a nifty idea and is purrfect for anyone who loves their pets and wants to create a simple, yet really special keepsake/memory book and build up a collection year after year of unfurgettable memories. It is also a wonderful gift for any age group and for any occasion.

TOTALLY TOP PAW!

I really hope mew enjoy The Epically Epic Pet Journal as much as I did if mew decide to get one.

It's time for me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't furget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.

Until next time...

Keep calm and read more books

The Saturday Special featuring My Purrfect Gift Box ~ Part II

Welcome to another edition of

http://picasion.com/gl/6hZ6/

Caturday greetings wunderpurr furriends

Today we have one of our sponsored posts to share with mew.  The pawesomely wunderpurr peeps from the company:

sent us another box of goodies [mew can see the furst box here] to try just before the P.A. left fur OZ, mew can imagine our sheer delight at this lovely surprise!

The P.A. was thrilled at the contents and she had every reason to be as it was full of goodies, mainly fur her!!!!

This is what we discovered

In the box:

1.  A totally gorgeous pink purse covered in kitties

2.  A fabulous spotty pet blanky

3.  Chocolate... [The P.A. said, "Mmmmmm, that'll do nicely!"]

4.  A gorgeous handmade silk kitty collar

5.   Four supurr cute kitty buttons - which will be sewn onto a waistcoat furry soon

6.  A bag of yummy cat treats

7.  A totally terrific cat print scarf

8.  A beautiful antique style cat pendant

*   *   *

As this box was more fur the P.A. and sadly she ran out of time to take more photo's before she left the U.K. there aren't many pictures of us - shame on her!!! MOL

Here's Amber Modelling the beautiful silk collar, which she said and I quote, "Basil this is the softest collar effur, and no I'm not sharing!"

Then she added, "Don't mew think the purple looks fabulous against my orangeness?"

To be honest, I had no answer fur that!

The P.A. modelling the fabulous scarf - which is just amazing with bronze coloured foil cats printed on a soft dove grey cotton and as the P.A. is a 'scarf purrson' this went down a treat.

and modelling the supurr cute kitty hand-made floral pendant - it's too cute fur wurds!

The kitty buttons are just delightful and the P.A. has plans to revamp a waistcoat with those upon her return to the U.K. and we'll be sharing that with mew on our new monthly feature, Crafting with Cats [more about that another day though].

We would have loved to have shared more photo's of the divine chocolate bar but sadly that disappeared rather quickly! MOL [nuff said!!]

The purse is just gorgeous and as the P.A. loves pink, all we can say is that it was purrfect fur her.

This box was just amazing and the P.A. was overjoyed at all the goodies, and as fur the cat treats, we'll be getting our mittens on those when she gets home and then we've got a big decision on:- Who gets the new blanky?

*   *   *

All in all we can safely say again, that the My Purrfect Gift Box experience was rated 10 out of 10 by all purrticipants and we highly recommend their service and products.

If mew would like to find out more, here's their social media links:

We would like to say a special thanks to the pawesome peeps at My Purrfect Gift Box fur sending us a second parcel of goodies ~ THANK MEW FURRY MUCH!

Many thanks fur joining us today and don't furget to stop by tomorrow fur our usual Sunday Selfies post.

The Saturday Special featuring The Top Cat Tea Party Report

Welcome to another edition of

Salutations and greetings on this fine Caturday!

Finally 12,000 miles later

The Top Cat Tea Party Report

is ready!

Mew may remember last week that we mentioned that we'd been furry kindly invited to the Top Cat Tea Party fur the launch of the new Warner Bros movie, Top Cat Begins.

And as we're supurr nice kitties, we thought it'd be really nice fur the P.A. to breach the Sweepy Ville borders, so we had her 'pass-out' stamped and sent her to London as our representative.

The party was held at Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium, London's premier cat cafe

Mew can follow Lady Dinah's on Social Media here:

Entrance to the cafe

The Top Cat Buffet

Top Cat Lolly's

The walls were adorned with stairs, shelves and all manner of  purrfect perches

Some of the resident felines going about their daily duties

Kitty beds galore and a custom kitty exercise wheel!

Meet Mue, a supurr cute kitty

The P.A. and her bestie had a delightful time, ate some of those delicious morsels and played with several of the resident felines.  It has since been brought to our attention that the P.A. was rather smitten with a kitty called Alice - the cute tuxedo kitty in pic 4 - hmmmmmm.... purrhaps I should have gone afterall, the next thing we'll know is 20 new kitty's will be arriving! MOL MOL

To celebrate the release of the new Top Cat Begins movie, we asked the P.A. to buy a few goodies from Lady Dinah's shop so we can do a give-away - howeffur mew'll have to wait until she's back from her travels [more selfishness on her part] seriously though the things she bought were furry cute, so it'll be well wurth the wait!

We do hope mew enjoyed today's report and we'd like to say a speshal thank mew to Emma and Anya,Warner Bros and Lady's Dinah's Cat Emporium fur a totally terrific day out.

http://picasion.com/gl/6qWc/

Many thanks fur joining us today and if mew've been lucky enough to see the movie already, let us know what mew think.  The P.A. loved the cartoon as a child and her favourite character was Benny!

Don't furget to stop by tomorrow fur our usual Sunday Selfies post.

Happy Caturday
