Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and this was my face (sorry about the eye-snot, but mew know how much I detest having my eyes wiped) when I wanted to gain access to the library a few weeks ago.
The P.A. was working on a project and I was made to wait a whole 15 seconds, can mew believe it?
The utter nerve of making me wait in the courtyard for access to my beloved library, I was utterly traumatised as I could hear the books calling out to me, and the selfish P.A. delayed me, the incomprehensible inconvenience and time-wasting really spoiled my mood tremendously.
Even the library mice complained, Gerald, Library Mouse #1 said, "Amber, it was a travesty, and mew should write a letter to the management!"
I agreed, but then remembered as before, I'd only be writing to myself and what's the point of that? I really need to put someone else in charge at BBHQ so I can write oodles of berating correspondence, and in that moment I decided that perhaps Smooch should be put in charge.
Yet when I presented my proposal to him, he abruptly declined saying, "Thank mew so much Amber for offering me such a prestigious position at BBHQ, though sadly with all my duties managing the day to day running of the bunker I don't feel I would be able to fulfil the role adequately, and in my honest opinion there's no one more qualified than mew!"
Well, he did have a point about my epically exceptional skills, and yes without me in charge the whole place would most certainly grind to a halt, so it seems that I will remain in charge for the foreseeable future.
Though I did have an idea to add a complaints box, so I can still write my rather chastising and moderately acidic correspondence and build up a collection of new material for my memoirs one day.
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. I feel _______________ when I ____________________.
2. I wish I could erase ______________from my memory to free up some space.
3. Others probably find it annoying that I _________.
4. _________ really needs to be invented.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. I feel happy when I am making or creating stuff. If I didn't have a gazillion hobbies/interests I don't know what I would do!
2. I wish I could erase some of the stories waiting to be written from my memory to free up some space.
3. Others (non-cat peeps) probably find it annoying that I make all kinds of crazy stuff for my cats! LOL
4. A time extender machine really needs to be invented, then I could get more hours in the day to do everything. And I will probably write that idea into a new book at some point, it's been added to one of my notebooks.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...

The Secret of Seaside
Paige Comber Mystery Book 1
by
Agatha Ball
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Paige Comber dreams of running off to Paris to train at the Cordon Bleu, but fresh out of college, she is stuck running her granny's coffee shop in the small town of Seaside. It looks like a lousy summer until a handsome stranger named Nate arrives.
He's here to help his Uncle Byron with his affairs, but when his uncle's body washes up on the beach and he is accused, it is up to Paige to find out who might have been crazy enough to do it.

This is my first Agatha Ball novel, and while a ginger kitty called Captain featured occasionally, he didn't have much more than a shop-cat role. I was a little disappointed as I thought Captain could have had a larger role, it would have been more fun.
But that aside, it had likeable characters and a good plot which was nicely paced with a beautiful seaside setting, and who doesn't want a nice visit to the beach?
There's a bit of romance which ping pongs from hot to cold with each scene both the main characters are in, but they do sort it out at the end, it's very light-hearted and an easy read.
A supurr Sunday afternoon novel, and what made it even better was that I got a free kindle copy from Amazon UK, whether it's perma-free I'm not sure (I think it might be), it's a great way to try a new series. There are eight books in total at the moment, so if mew like book 1 there's plenty to read, plus book 2 costs £2.94 for the kindle edition, so a really good price.
Definitely worth a read for free, what have mew got to lose?
A classic cozy mystery, and I'll be downloading book 2 as soon as I found Parsley's credit card!

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time for me to say BFN or bye-for-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't forget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
We'll be back in the morning with our first review post of 2022, so stop by to see What's in The Box!
Until next time...
Keep calm and read more books
