Today, Melvyn is here sharing all his uber manlycatness, since we don't think he's been featured on MCM in years!

BBHQ'S NEXT TOP MODEL

As many of mew know, Melvyn is an aspiring top model and here are a few of his highlights

I mean, come on, any agent would be silly not to sign this hunky chunk of mancat! 

But so far, Melvyn's attempt at getting an agent has failed.

But we said, dude, mew're too good for mainstream.

Mew need something a little more EXOTIC!

Did Mew Know This About Melvyn?

When he first arrived at BBHQ in 2019, his name at the rescue centre was... are mew ready?

We're going to let mew let mew in a really big secret now; Melvyn loves, and when we say loves, we mean utterly obsessed with unicorns. Yep, mew heard that right...

UNICORNS

There's one particular unicorn toy he has to play with every night. We call this one Corn, and Melvyn takes him on adventures around BBHQ.

In fact, his unicorn obsession has led the P.A. to obtain more Corns, to put into stock just in case, as Melvyn will not play with substitutes! MOL

Mancat Monday at BBHQ ~ Starring Parsley aka Mr Sauce **AND DID MEW KNOW THIS? HE'S GOT A REALLY BIG SECRET TOO!!!**

It's Mancat Monday, and mew know what that means... it's a mancat zone! MOL  

Today, Parsley is here sharing all his rugged manlycatness, as we don't think he's featured on MCM for years either, like Melvyn last week! 

Isn't he a magnificent, handsome panfur! 

BBHQ'S HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE HOLDER

He's got the most lethal patherene claws.

His hobbies include a bit of rock climbing!

Birdwatching and nature is another favourite pastime.

And he's also dabbled in the highly lucrative trade of catnip selling, although this particular batch nearly tipped him over the edge, or off the table! MOL

Did Mew Know This About Parsley?

Parsley is a gentle giant; he has such a kind nature, and he's the resident heavyweight at BBHQ, weighing in at approximately 6.7kg - 14.77lbs. And this year, when he went for his annual check-up and boosters, the vet had the nerve to say he was a bit heavy. Cat Dad soon put that straight and said to the vet. "Dude, he's on a bulking phase!" MOL

In 2014 when he first arrived at BBHQ, he was called Parsons as he had a faint ring of white fur around his neck like a priest's collar, so that's what they named him at the rescue.

The P.A. wanted to call him Magic, Merlin or some other really unimaginative magical black cat name but after trying out all the usual names and he responded to none, she realised that he wasn't going to be easy to name. Then one day she was looking through a gardening book and saw the word parsley and had an 'ah-ha!' moment, and that's how Parsley got his new name, and slowly that evolved into Parsley Sauce and then we found that he really loves the name Sauce, so most of the time we call him Sauce, or Mr Sauce.

And on different days of the week, he likes to be different sauces, such as mint, BBHQ, chocolate, steak, peri peri, seafood, black sauce aka HP, caramel, etc... it changes with his mood! But don't ever call him Mayonaise; yep, that one is a huge NO-NO! MOL #truestory 

And we bet mew're wondering what the really big secret is?

Well, he's a biscuit-making machine. Seriously, he's a one-cat biscuit factory! MOL

Just look at him go, and he makes the best biscuits ever. In fact, he's a bit of a biscuit aficionado or a biscuit connoisseur.

Mancat Monday at BBHQ ~ Wing Commander Basil's Favourite Part Of The Garden in 2009 **AND DID MEW KNOW THIS?**

It's Mancat Monday, and mew know what that means... it's a mancat zone! MOL  

Today I am here sharing all my uber manlycatness, as I don't think I've featured on MCM for years! 

So we're travelling back to the most epically epic year of 2009 when I was in my uber chonk'a'licious era! MOL

Just look at me in my prime, even I can't catch my breath!!!! MOL

MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE GARDEN IN 2009

At BBHQ in the Spring of 2009, the P.A. and Dad did a little landscaping; the installed a lovely wildlife pond for the one resident frog, which mew can just see on the left of the photo, not the frog, the pond.

And on the other side of the path they created a mini stone circle just for cats. It's true, take a look below.

Mew see stone circles are in our DNA! MOL MOL 

I loved this rock garden more that mew could imagine.

And I spent countless hours that summer relishing in all that stone circle energy! 

Did Mew Know This About Me?

When I first arrived at BBHQ, I'd had four homes in two years, for some unknown reason I kept being returned to the small cat rescue shelter. But I understand why now; it was because I was meant to get to BBHQ, the P.A. and Dad, those other homes were not meant for me, BBHQ was, and the universe in those first two years of my life was orchestrating events to get me to there, and it did.

Mew know I spent many hours on Pawtrol in my life, and not only within the BBHQ compound, but also the field over the fence.  

And some summer evenings, when the moon was full and the air was still, I'd stay out really late and the P.A. would come looking for me down the field and carry me back home.

The P.A. would whistle when she required my presence, but on those hot summer nights, with all the little creatures rustling in the undergrowth, I must admit that I did purposefully ignore her. Hence the scenario above, when I'd be carried home! MOL

And finally,

I really loved cuddles, seriously I know it's hard to believe when mew read all our epic adventures, but I really did love getting snuggled and cuddled with the P.A. and Dad.
