Supurr Wednesday Greetings Pawesome Furiends
Welcome to our weekly news round-up!
Gosh, we have been busy the last few days, looking after cat dad since his accident last week, and then the P.A. caught a cold while she was at the hospital with dad. She was wearing a mask too and made sure she properly disinfected herself upon leaving the hospital, but still, she caught a cold - typical!
Dad's knee is a little better, though we are still waiting for the MRI results and praying extra hard that he won't need surgery.

The Halloween Countdown Has Begun
We can't believe we're headed into the Halloween Countdown and Pandora's 8th and Amber's 20th Birthday pawty next Monday.
Amber does make us laugh as she is a little cranky these days; her hearing isn't what it was and she pretty much sleeps 22 out of the 24 hours, her tolerance for idiots is less than ZERO, and some days she refuses point-blank to have her eyes wiped. She and Fudge have a lot in common there, he detests having his eyes wiped too - check out his Instagram picture last week! MOL
Anyhoo, we found this cute throwback all the way back to the 21st of July 2005, and oh my cod we can't believe how different the garden is today!
Those lovely little cypress conifers didn't survive because Humphrey sprayed up them most days, and his corrosive, concentrated acid pee killed them! MOL
Amber was just a wee spring chicken here, and she would spend most of her days outside, and the gates would be open!
We can't get over the garden, the only things that are still in that border are the two white standard roses and the yew tree in the middle of them. They are the first three under the arrows on the right side of the picture on the drive edge.
The yew tree is actually nearly 30 years old now, the P.A. bought it from a tree nursery way back in early 1993 and kept it in a pot for years.
And this picture was taken on the 7th of July this year; the roses still bloom beautifully and look like they're covered in snowballs! There is a lot of dead wood now, and this year the fierce pruning which is planned may be too much for them, but we'll see. Hopefully, they sprut anew next year, but if not we'll see about getting some new ones.
The yew tree is like a tall, thick brush and the P.A. is planning on reducing its height by half as it is growing at the back of the silver beam tree, and it doesn't need to get any taller. She likes it as it blocks the view from the main gate to the back patio, so the reduced height won't make any difference to its camouflaging capabilities.
