**THE BBHQ MIDWEEK NEWS ROUND-UP** Smooch Says It's Warmer Outside, Activities to Keep Warm, Parsley's Brief Sunspot, and Melvyn's Modelling This Weeks Top Pick Bandana

Pawesome Greetings Furbulous Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Well, what a week! We'll just give mew the weather update, as we missed that last week; it has been so still for the last three weeks, like no wind at all, not even a whisper of a breeze and very overcast, although we did get a brief sunspot on Sunday (See Parsley further down the post), which was marvellous. We can't ever remember a time, at this time of year when it has been this still for this long at BBHQ; very strange indeed.

Then on Caturday night around 10PM, a radiator burst upstairs and leaked through the kitchen ceiling - great fun, NOT! So we've had no heating since then as the system had to be drained as there was no way to stop the water. Cat Dad has replaced the failed radiator, and he's just replaced the adjacent one, as it was the same age, to mitigate another disaster from that one in the future.

Plus, there are two more that need changing, which is happening as we type this, so hopefully, by tonight - Chewsday evening - the system can be refilled, and with a bit of luck, we'll be all warm and toasty again, as Smooch said, and I quote, "Dude, it's fluffing warmer outside!" See our first news story!

So the paint will have to come out and the ceiling redone in the kitchen; seriously, it never rains. It BURSTS!!! MOL

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news

Smooch Says It's Warmer Outside

The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ©BionicBasil® Smooch Says It's Warmer Outside

As I just said, Smooch said, "Dude, it's fluffing warmer outside!"

So our little tripawed dude, has been in his favourite basket under the gazebo feeling rather hissed off!

Even though there is a fire in the woodburner - and we burn approved smokeless coal before anypawdy wants to mention climate change - he's adamant that he's better off outside!

Next up in the news

Activities to Keep Warm

Meanwhile, Melvyn, Fudge and Pandora were seeking indoor activities to keep warm, and this is what they came up with! MOL

In Other News

Parsley's Brief Sunspot

On Remembrance Sunday, Parlsey was lucky enough to enjoy this sunspot under the gazebo for a while until it clouded over again.

Finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Last week, mew voted for the Woodland Furiends bandana and suggested that Melvyn could model it in memory of Peanut and Fred, which he is honoured to do.

The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ©BionicBasil® Melvyn Modelling The Woodland Furiends Bandana in Memory of Peanut and Fred

Melvyn did a really great job, and if mew want to see the P.A. making this special bandana, we posted a video on TikTok - it's only five minutes long. And don't worry if mew don't have TikTok; mew can always watch as a guest with no sign-in. As we haven't had time to post to Instagram or YouTube yet, but if mew want to see it on those channels, let us know, and we'll try to make that happen for next week.

Check out Melvyn's catwalk videos on your preferred social media channel:

Here's the brand new bandana fabric collection for November.

There are four Wednesdays this month, but there were five fabric quarters, and they are all too cute not to share, and they are lovely brushed cotton, so Melvyn is loving that cozy vibe! MOL

The P.A. has decided to leave the choices like this, so just pick your favourite fabric and watch it appear like magic on Melvyn next week! MOL

This month's epic options are:

1. Supurr Cute Foxes

2.  Bears and Bunnies

3. Woodland Furiends

4. Autumn Butterflies

5. Butterflies and Shrooms

Tell us your top pick for next week in the comments!

That's us done for today, Amber will be back on Friday with a brand new book review and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:

The B Team's Midweek News Banner ©BionicBasil® October 23

Many Greetings Furbulous Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up.

Guys, mew know we don't usually share stuff other than what goes on here at BBHQ, but this upset us so fluffing much that we feel we have to say something. So, not our usual vibe...

Sunday 3rd November

**JUSTICE FOR PEANUT THE SQUIRREL AND FRED THE RACOON**

Mew know, there we were on Sunday morning with a nice cup of catnip tea and a slice of catnip marmalade on toast, having a quick scroll through TikTok, and a heartbreaking story popped up on our For Mew Page.

We couldn't believe what we were hearing, but first, here's a little about the famous duo in case mew haven't heard of them; Peanut and Fred were social media stars known around the world and loved by millions, bringing joy, laughter, love, happiness and delight to those who followed their wonderful antics. They even had a non-profit rescue sanctuary called P’Nuts Freedom Farm, helping other anipals in need; non-profits like this are such a huge blessing in the vile world we live in.

Yet, in a horrific turn of events, these two innocent anipals were seized from their human pawrents' home in New York State, USA and euthanizedcheck out this story on Metro

Read the story; it's beyond heartbreaking. Peanut and Fred's pawrents are totally crushed, their lives shattered by this unbelievably cruel and twisted set of circumstances. Their beloved furiends were taken away by a literal SWAT Team and then killed, no, MURDERED!!!

We are so fluffing upset by this that we are finding it hard to write.

There is a petition on Change.org. The muther fluffer responsible and who instigated this crime against these two innocent anipals needs to be brought to justice. So if mew can go and sign the petition, that would be EPICALLY EPIC.

We all need to stand together, paw on paw, and help Peanut and Fred's pawrents seek justice for these two beautiful souls so wickedly dispatched to the Rainbow Realm.

To the one is who is behind this shocking and diabolical crime against innocent creatures

Karma is Coming On Swift Paws

**UPDATE**

Monday 4th November

Sunday teatime UK time, a name was released of the person who is allegedly responsible for this completely disgusting act. We have seen the screenshot on TikTok that the alleged wrote in a comment section admitting that they had made the call and were responsible for Peanut and Fred's demise with the tone of no remorse whatsoever.

WOW!!!

We did say Karma was coming on swift paws, and now this person has apparently removed all their social media and we are guessing, is in hiding as this individual is probably the most hated and despised person on the planet right now.

There are a lot of angry people around the world, literally spitting brimstone and fire because of what this individual did. Plus, the consequences of those actions, that phone call, have just ruined the individual's own life because of what????  Jealousy, envy, mew hate anipals, or specifically squirrels and raccoons, what???? Why????

Jeez, if the world isn't a bad enough place as it is right now. And then this.

ANOTHER THOUGHT

The truly devasting thing about this entire situation is that those two anipals were taken and murdered for no good reason whatsoever.

Why couldn't the authorities have put them into quarantine? Why? What difference would it have made if Peanut and Fred had been quarantined for a couple of weeks to see if they had any symptoms of rabies - NON

As allegedly, that was their excuse for the instant dispatching of Peanut and Fred.

Why couldn't their pawrents have been given a formal notice to advise them that they needed a license or whatever for the anipals? And given 7 days to apply or whatever? Or been advised to take the anipals to their local veterinarian to have rabies tests done?

There was a hint that someone got bitten by one of the anipals; therefore, it was necessary to murder them both as fast as possible.

Let us say this, if mew work in animal control and there is a threat of rabies. Those persons should be fully vaccinated against the disease because there is no effective treatment after the fact.

The P.A. has travelled all over the world and has had the rabies vaccination on several occasions because if, by some unforeseen circumstance, she got bitten by a stray anipal or whatever, it's literally game over.

So mew can't tell us that those involved in the grab and snatch were not already vaccinated against rabies???? Therefore, it still wouldn't have mattered if the anipals had gone into quarantine to be observed, not just slaughtered with no real evidence or proof.

Who was the judge, jury and executioner? Who signed the death warrant?

Seems like a lot of trouble for two little innocent anipals, living their best life and having never done anything to anypawdy!

We have no more words other than Rest in Peace, Peanut and Fred, and we know your pawrents will get justice, and the world will never forget mew both.

R.I.P. TO TWO EPICALLY EPIC DUDES

Let's look at this week's top headlines.

Finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Last week mew voted for the #1 option, Supurr Cute Foxes.

That's us done for today. Last week we know we said we'd share the results of The Mewton~Clawson Annual Zombie Hunt, but we didn't think it was appropriate for today's post, so we'll share that next week.

We'll be back tomorrow with Chapter Two of The Purrminator, and if mew missed the first claw-biting chapter, click here to catch up on all the action.

The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **HALLOWEEN EDITION** Smooch - Where's My Pumpkin? Fudge Finds A Blinding Sunspot, and Melvyn's Modelling This Weeks Top Pick Bandana

The B Team's Midweek News Halloween Banner @BionicBasil®

Epic Greetings Furbulous Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

It's been a busy week at BBHQ, and as for the weather, it's rained, there's been a couple of supurr brief sunspots, see Fudge enjoying one below, and it's been rather misty on occasion, but then Halloween is almost here, so mist is normal.

And if mew didn't see me on Monday's Bumper Brain Training post, it's the Mewton-Clawson Annual Zombie Hunt tonight. I was all geared up and ready to go, and then, I saw my 2024 Zombie Hunter Permit was about to expire!

NO FLUFFING WAY!!!

Luckily, I know a lovely lady cat who works in the local Town Hall. Her name is Daphne, and I saved her a couple of years ago from a weird wolf attack, so I made a call, and she got my permit approved instantly. EPIC!

Take a look at the local poster advertising the event. It features Dirk the Dangerous; he's from Upper Fluffton, a small hamlet about a mile to the north of Mewton~Clawson.

THE MEWTON-CLAWSON ANNUAL ZOMBIE HUNT @BionicBasil®

In 2023, Upper Fluffton was overrun with zombies, and thank cod Dirk, who'd only just moved there after a rather colourful career in a special ops force, was on paw to save the residents.

It was only fitting after he'd saved everypawdy that he was on this year's poster, and fluff, he looks as mean as hell, doesn't he?

So wish us luck tonight, and we'll let mew know how many we tagged and bagged next week.

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news

Smooch ~ Where's My Pumpkin?

The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ©BionicBasil® Smooch - Where's My Pumpkin

If mew saw yesterday's brand new Halloween Crafting with Cats post, Smooch was a little hissed off that by the time he got there after a rather long catnap that the pumpkin had been mauled, slobbered on and in his opinion was not fit for purpose.

He did demand a brand new one be made immediately, however he did apologise to the P.A. and here he is making said apology.

And this was Smooch earlier in the day after he'd got a bit damp outside and then headed into the crystal room to sulk in his haunted house! MOL

Fudge Finds A Blinding Sunspot

There's not been a lot of sun, but there was one event the other day that Fudge took full advantage of the rare sunspot in the sitting room.

And when we say it was blinding, it was BLINDING!!! MOL

Melvyn's modelling the very last October bandana today, and doesn't he look cute!!!
