Pawesome Wednesday Greetings Furriends
Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!
Our headline this week:
Spring is here, but only fur a day or two, so at least we have some lovely warmz fur a few days.
Pandora was making the most of the weather early yesterday.
Also this week, mew may remember a couple of weeks ago we mentioned our veg crop plans and last week we showed mew our little pots full of seeds on a sunny windowsill.
Great news!
these are pea seedlings
The purple broccoli, peas and several others have sprouted and will be ready to be potted on soon.
On Monday we also planted some flowers too; sweet peas in 6 varieties, and nasturtiums in two varieties. Today we've got some more flower seeds to plant so we'll let mew know what they are next week.
We also did some geranium cuttings from last years plants, it may be a little early but we thought we'd have a go! MOL
And finally this week, the ladybirds have woken up!
The P.A. has been supurr careful recently while wurking in the garden so as not to disturb any hibernating bugs. But this fabulous sunshine has woken them all up and they are effurywhere, yesterday she counted at least 25 ladybirds sunning themselves in various flowerbeds around the garden.
She also saw a bright yellow butterfly aka Brimstone fluttering around the courtyard, plus some solitary bees, a dragonfly and two Peacock butterflies.
So it's all happening at BBHQ!
If mew missed anything offur the last week, here's the latest posts fur your purrusal:
Amber will be here on Friday with another specially paw-picked book just fur mew, so do by as she loves your company in the library and don't wurry. mew can keep at least 2 metres apart.
Quickly before we pop off, if mew're in lockdown like us and are looking fur things to fill the time, don't furget that mew can download our free colouring books here, or if mew want to search the blog using the term; Colouring with Cats, our previous single download mandalas are available too.

Pandora, the sunshine just lights up your furs!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting lovely weather too, at last. It is nice to see the flowers starting to come out and the insects too. We have had several of the big bumble bees doing a fly past yesterday and today.
ReplyDeleteMy Magnolia stick* is flowering too!

Ladybirds! We like that name so much better than calling them lady bugs here in the USA. Purrple broccoli sounds lovely. I bet you will have a wonderpurr garden this summer. It gets very hot where we live, so growing anything much beyond tomatoes is difficult. However, our daddy is going to give it a try since germy hoomons are buying up all the fresh produce at our store. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to join this hop. Either with BB or Dash Kitten. If anyone can advise why its not working, would love to join you guys!
ReplyDeleteIts trying to be spring here too, though its way too early to plant any garden things as yet.
ReplyDeleteCan you make us some more puzzles?? Petcretary likes those better than coloring...
trying to be Spring here in my little rural, country town in Pennsylvania. Got Pusswillows trying to come out, got daffodils in bud, other flowers trying to coming out and even our Lilac/orange bush is trying to come out. We have some ladybirds and a lot of different types of birds and other animals. Haven't seen the bear yet. Sunny out today.
DeleteLike Brian said, Stay Virus Free everyone.
