Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Here's this week's weather report: cloudy, rainy, cloudy, with a bit of a breeze, cloudy, drizzle, cloudy. The temperatures are hovering around the mid-teens, but the bad news is that the evening temperatures are dropping below ten this week ... brrrrrr!

And the news wouldn't be the news without the obligatory flower photos.

This luscious lilac dahlia is in the courtyard gardens, and to be honest, we nearly missed it. All the dahlias this year were very late to bloom.

And here's the new rambling rose on the rose arch. It's called Super Fairy and has clusters of small pink flowers.

    Awww, such sweet pictures today. Our dahlias didn't do too well this year either, *she* thinks they need to be taken out of their (large) pots and replanted in fresher soil and maybe divided. Didn't happen this year because of the work needing to be done cleaning up all the tree mess from the bad storms we had in May. (Which is still; a work in progress even after 6 months!)

    I did Fudge was thrilled on that first halloween. Playing trick or treat and getting his dish full of treats. Love looking at your flowers. I can honestly say around here there are no flowers left blooming. Some potted chrysanthemum sitting on a porch or two and that's it. Even the one I bought is already faded into brown.
