The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ~ Who's Hogging The Fire? Parsley's Dilemma, and Fudge Catnapping in The Catservatory ~ **PLUS** Today's Really Random Photo

A vibrant autumn-themed collage features 7 expressive cats surrounded by pumpkins, falling leaves, stars, and stylized newspaper graphics. One cat shouts “EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!” in a speech bubble, introducing the central headline: “MIDWEEK NEWS ROUND UP WITH THE B TEAM.” The cozy seasonal palette and playful feline personalities create a whimsical, editorial-style visual. Epic Greetings Furbulous Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

We'll start with the weather report. It was pretty nice until Friday lunchtime, then the wind appeared with great force and decided it was going to be a real nuisance until Sunday morning. A tree did come down at work, luckily in the back compound, so Cat Dat will be getting the chainsaw out, and we'll get some new logs! MOL

On Monday, it was 20 degrees Celsius, which was really lovely, and a lot of gardening was done, as the P.A. is still on her quest to empty all the terracotta pots out and put all the different plants in the garden borders, as she's over having to water everything all summer, as it takes hours. Finally, yesterday, it was just a dull, overcast vibe, but it didn't rain, so that was nice for our garden pawtrols!

Here's this week's flower offering, another supurr epic dahlia. We featured another bloom a few weeks back, but this plant is too good not to share again.

A vibrant dahlia flower in full bloom displays layered petals transitioning from deep magenta at the centre to soft pink and white at the edges, surrounded by lush green leaves in a garden setting. Framed with a white border, this close-up captures the symmetry and beauty of nature’s design. Perfect for garden photography, floral inspiration, and seasonal content from www.bionicbasil.com

What a lovely moon it's been for the last few nights. This was taken on Monday evening.

A serene nighttime garden scene at BBHQ features a stone and gravel pathway leading under a metal archway, softly illuminated by moonlight and ambient lighting. Surrounded by lush plants, a large ceramic pot sits to the left and a white summerhouse with a vintage red wine pump rests to the right. The glowing moon adds a magical touch to the tranquil, well-maintained space. Perfect for enchanted garden photography, evening outdoor content, and whimsical storytelling from www.bionicbasil.com

And quickly, before we forget:

Last week, the pawesome Tabbies of Trout Towne asked what the orange flower was that we shared here.

It was a dahlia, just a simple bloom, not a fancy vareity like the pink flower above.

They are very easy to grow. We say this because, over the years, in the BBHQ garden, we have tried many different plants, ones that apparently were 'easy grow' - they all died. So, if dahlias can thrive in our garden, they are pretty rugged, and one of our main plant species for the summer. They come in so many colours and varieties, it's like a paint explosion! MOL

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news

Who's Hogging The Fire?

In a warm indoor scene titled “Who’s Hogging the Fire?”, Pandora (front), Smooch (middle), and Melvyn (back) lounge on a woven rug near a black wood-burning stove. Pandora, a long-haired dark-coated cat, sits upright while Smooch and Melvyn sprawl belly-up in blissful relaxation. Surrounded by rustic hearth decor, this tranquil moment captures feline comfort and camaraderie. Perfect for cozy cat content, autumn pet photography, and homey storytelling from www.bionicbasil.com

We had the first fire of the season on Sunday afternoon, and look who was hogging the front row.

Pandora didn't mind as she said in her odd, little foreign accent, and I quote, "I don't need the front row, because my fur coat is exceptional!"

Well, mew can't argue with that, even at minus ten Celsius, our epic little sasquatch would still be warm! MOL

Next up in the news

 Parsley's Dilemma

Parsley, BBHQ’s sleek black cat wearing a green collar with a bell, sits contemplatively at the bottom of the stairs on a wooden floor, debating whether to snooze upstairs or nap downstairs. Framed by a light grey wall with white trim, the scene captures feline indecision and cozy charm. Perfect for cat lifestyle content, humorous pet photography, and relaxed storytelling from www.bionicbasil.com

Parsley was torn; should he go upstairs to snooze, or stay downstairs to sleep?

Yep, it was a pivotal, almost a 'sliding doors' moment. And we can tell mew where he went, he decided that upstairs was the place to snooze!

Finally this week

Fudge Catnapping in The Catservatory

Fudge, BBHQ’s relaxed orange tabby, naps contentedly on a striped grey rug in the catservatory, eyes closed and basking in tranquility. Positioned in front of a glass door with a “Protect” sticker, the scene blends indoor comfort with a view of the gravel garden beyond. Perfect for cozy cat lifestyle content, feline home photography, and chilled-out storytelling from www.bionicbasil.com

No fluffs were given by Fudge yesterday, as he catnapped in the catservatory!

That's a level of enlightenment that takes years to achieve.

Snowie The White Fluffball

All the way from 2009.

Angel Snowie, BBHQ’s beloved white kitty with golden eyes and a pink bell collar, sits gracefully on a modern crescent-shaped chair with a black cushion and purple blanket. Framed by warm cream curtains with gold tassels and an antique wooden desk, this serene indoor scene captures her timeless charm. Perfect for memorial pet photography, elegant feline content, and heartfelt storytelling from www.bionicbasil.com

On this day, she was helping the P.A. work on a YA novel ... yep, Snowie was THAT good! MOL

  1. Aww, look at Celestial Snowie!
Parsley had to plan out that nap very carefully, considering all locales.

  3. The dahlia is a lovely colour. I used to grow them but haven't for some time. I think it was when I discovered Gazanias, with Tiger Stripes being my favourite. I haven't had them for a couple of years either. They eventually got killed off by a few hard frosts after surviving 4 or 5 years.
Lovely photos of everyone. I love Fudge's crossed paw.
