Hello meautiful library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and this week it's been rather quiet in the library, and the mice are getting ready to take a three day vacation to the pub across the road. Apparently, there's a mini food festival, so they're going to help themselves and try all the delicacies on offer.
And I know that they're having time off, and I refused Melvyn's request last week, but this is why. The mice are off, so Melvyn can't be. Mew know it's simple staff logistics, and I don't know why some purrsons just can't grasp it!
This was me yesterday, enjoying the heated floor in the catservatory, and I must say it is rather therapeutic for my old, arthritic bones!
And yes, I know I've got eye snot, but I did warn the P.A. most vehemently that I WAS NOT IN THE MOOD to have my face cleaned, and if she wanted to keep all her digits, she needed to step away from the flannel! MOL
Anyhoo let's look at this week's top book pick.
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. I _____________________ when I feel overwhelmed.
2. My favorite streaming service is_____________________.
3. I try to help _________ when I can.
4. I could tell a scary story about _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. I retreat at BBHQ when I feel overwhelmed. There's no place like home.
2. My favourite streaming service is Netflix. But even then, there's not much to watch because A: If it's a decent movie, I've probably already watched it. Or B: If it's a TV show, they usually cancel the ones I like after one season.
3. I try to help anipal charities when I can. The B Team just sent fifteen snuggle mats and a big bag full of toys to a cat rescue not far from Erin the Cat Princess.
4. I could tell a scary story about THE B TEAM! LOL! In fact, I've got lots of scary stories about The B Team! LOL And guess what? I've started to write The Purrminator, which is the adventure between The Clockwork Labyrinth and Claws of Terror, the scary story of how Basil went to meet The M Unit in 2033 to save Melvyn. So, if you'd like to read it, let me know, and I'll see if I can serialise it like the others.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!

Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Now, it seems her foes are more fur-midable than ever...Felicity Knight always tries to mind her own business, but coming to grips with being a witch makes total neutrality quite the trick...and that’s not to mention her untimely penchant for stumbling onto crime scenes.
When Felicity and her father, George, discover the body of a woman (whose local witch tour was followed by true horror), resistance is futile. It’s a case that must be cracked.
As if a new murder mystery isn’t enough for Felicity and her feline familiar, Atticus, something strange is brewing at The River Inn and needs attention. Spirits, however, prove stubborn, and addressing a haunting is daunting.

Previously reviewed books in The Cotswolds Cat Familiar Cozy Mystery Books
The other day, when I was picking a book to review today from my ever growing to-read list, I stumbled upon this one. And it's been quite a while since I reviewed books one and two, so I thought it would be nice to jump back into the series and see what happens next!
A Not So Purrfect Hex is the third instalment of D. Watts' Cotswold Cat Familiar Cozy Mystery series, and it doesn't disappoint at all, as mew are treated to a captivating tale filled with more intrigue and magic.
The story follows our protagonist, Felicity Knight, as she navigates the challenges of recently discovering she's a witch and trying to come to terms with her new powers. Not only that, her cat familiar, Atticus, who does have a pleasant amount of snark and cattitude happening, sometimes doesn't help the cause at all! MOL
And if that's not enough to deal with, she has the misfortune to stumble upon yet another mysterious crime scene in the quaint village she lives in. The story weaves together elements of witchcraft, a compelling murder mystery, and the supernatural, all set against the backdrop of the enchanting Cotswold countryside.
It has an engaging plot, and the characters continue to develop, so mew feel invested in their journey as mew read the series. There is a touch of romance, but nowhere near as spicy as last week's book. This a purrfect Sunday afternoon read and is sure to enchant readers who love cozy cat mysteries with a touch of the mystical and magical.
If mew are subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, it is available within their catalogue to read as part of your subscription.
