Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends
Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!
It's the second day of meteorological* spring.... Yeah right, whose having a laugh???
Meteorological* spring starts on the 1st and astronomical -normal- spring starts on the 20th of the month, and as we're sick of winter we thought we'd go with the early option this year fur a change.
As mew know if mew've already visited this week, we've got the Beast from the East attacking right now, and no it's a weather front not an actual monster! MOL
This was our pond this yesterday morning, before we turned the pumps off as the water was getting too low.
Fudge had neffur experienced snow before and didn't like his paws getting cold. He insisted on accompanying the P.A. yesterday while she was filling the burd feeders and getting the burds baths refilled as they'd completely frozen...
..so aftur rushing back indoors, he had to warm himself up by trying to kill the red dot, and yes he jumps up walls, but it certainly got his circulation moving! MOL
And just to make it all the more interesting, there's still more snow to come as another storm is heading northwards bringing further blizzards and freezing temperatures, don't mew wish mew were here right now... no, we didn't think so! MOL
Wednesday night it was -6c with a 'real feel' of -18c
So to all our pals in the UK and around Europe, we hope you're staying safe and keeping warm, and remember next week it'll be like it neffur happened, hopefully.
Plus, mew may remember the old saying:
'In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb' fur the month of March?
If it rings true this year, it should be lovely later in the month, a pawsible, veritable heatwave compared with now!

I can't believe the weather you guys are getting!
ReplyDeleteHi Summer, I know its totally crazy!! We hope mew've got bucket loads of sunshine! XOX
DeleteI think the weather is laughing at us. We were lucky and escaped the worst of last night's snow. We already had 2-3 inches from the Beast and last night were forecast to get up to 10 inches when it collided with Storm Emma. Half a mile away they got another 4 inches, and 6 miles away the got 15 inches. We escaped with just another dusting to cover all the footprints. We have ice rain now which will probably turn to snow later.
ReplyDeleteKeep trying Fudge! you never know, you might catch that pesky dot one day.
Hiya guys, oh isn't it just! It was really bad in your county too, so mew were lucky not to get big dollop. Here's hoping it's all gone now! XOX
DeleteWe have a big storm here in Massachusetts today. Where I live, we're supposed to just get heavy rain, but the coast is looking at a lot of snow and damaging winds. Spring can't get here soon enough. Stay safe, unless you're the red dot,die red dot, die. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Edie,oh no that weather sounds dreadful, and we agree with mew, roll on spring asap! MOL the red dot still lives!!! MOL XOX
DeleteWow, them birds do have luxury at your place, baths and feeders and waitress service! Next. they'll be wanting a sauna and wine bar! vThe Kraken is still off sunning herself in sunny Spain, and has vowed not to come back until the ducks stop ice skating on the moat.... makes them too fast for her to catch. MOL
ReplyDeleteToodle pips and Brrrrs
ERin
Hey Erin, yes the burds do have it good around here, but not sure about the sauna and wine bar, it's be far too rowdy! MOL Lucky kraken, she won't want to come back... I can always send mew another one! MOL XOX
DeleteOh my mouses you've had snow. MOUSES! And here we are in Nova Scotia, CANADA, without any of the white stuff at all. The sun is shinin' and it's goin' up to +7C here this afternoon. It's a BEAUTIFUL day! But tomorrow is gonna be just +1C with freezin' drizzle. MOUSES!
