Happy Wednesday guys
How's your week been so far?
Sorry we missed Mondays post, the P.A. was quite upset after some news she got on Caturday regarding her accident. Apparently the dude who caused the accident through his sheer stupidity and negligence didn't have any insurance, he has a Limited company but no company insurance can mew believe that - no she couldn't either!!! So she's several thousand out of pocket now for fixing the mess he made in the house; fixing the plumbing abomination he left, all the leaks and putting right the damage to 3 ceilings - 2 from water damage he caused and the one she fell through, plus all decorating that if there'd been no damage was totally fine and didn't need doing, plus medical expenses etc etc etc and she has no way to recoup the losses caused by that fluffing chump as apparently he's totally potless... fan-freaking-tastic!
So the chump is laughing his socks off that he's gotten away with it, when his negligence could have easily have killed or paralyzed the P.A. [she was so lucky her injuries weren't worse] and there's nothing anyone can do about it - what an absolute flufftard, and to think a dangerous chump like that is allowed to run a supposed legit business.
She's still struggling with her injuries, and it'll take another few months yet.

So there mew have it, and the moral of the story is this: never ever let anyone do any work at your home/property without seeing an insurance certificate.
If they are wurking at height or with ladders, make sure mew see that they've had propurr training and are fully insured to wurk at height because if they fall and sustain injury - it will be your fault and cost mew. Get them to sign indemnity's too if possible.
The P.A. is seriously peeved by all of this and none of it is her fault, yet she's the one who's still suffering and severely out of pocket - sometimes there's just no justice!

Anyhoo on a lighter note....It's The Great BBHQ Burd Watch - today with Melvyn.
But furst - Many apologies to the Tabbies of Trout Towne, please scroll down without reading!
Melvyn was hanging out in the dressing room window watching that great, big fat pigeon perched in the tree, when he said and I quote, "There's good eating on that!" OOPS! MOL!
Swiftly moving on... See the new purple feeder on the tree? That has a special blend of peanut butter burd food, and the little burdies really seem to like it... more on who visits it next time as we've had some newcomers in the garden this week.
We also use large plant-pot saucers as burdbaths, and we put a rock in the middle so the smaller burds have something to perch on. There are 3 of that type plus two tall ones around the garden, and the larger burds can also bathe and drink from the pond as there's rockery exit ramp in one corner.
We wash the feeders and baths on a regular basis in hot soapy water with a dash of mild disinfectant, as mew do need to keep the facilities clean - we have two sets to rotate - then there's no downtime in feeding, as we definitely don't want a burd rebellion happening! MOL
So more on the BBHQ Winter Burd Watch series soon.
And finally in this weeks news round-up, Parsley sent $60 AUD to Animals Australia yesterday, so thanks again for all the comments and later this week we'll action our next one, so stay tuned fur that, as we've got a really nifty idea brewing!
If mew've missed any of the posts offur the last week, here's the catch up links:
Amber will be here on Friday with a cute book she can't wait to share with mew all, so do stop by the library, tea and nip cookies will be served, and we hope to see mew then!

Oh, dear...such a scoundrel...or worse but I cannot say that here, MOL!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a cool feeder set up! We have several too, and rotate them also...great minds think alike, MOL, MOL!
Our feeders are right in front of the big picture window in our dining room, Pipo loves to watch the burds and the critters...until they all fly/run. away when the pups run out there.
I am sorry that the PA had such bad news. I hope she is spreading it all over FB. It will soon get around and hopefully he won't get any more work.
ReplyDeleteIs he registered on an approved builders list anywhere? If so they may be able to give advice.
Melvyn has a good view from the window, and that pigeon does look very plump.
Over here we could take legal action by suing him for fraud and misrepresentation and we would make sure he goes out of business, that totally stinks. Your burd watching spot is quite cool though!
ReplyDeleteguyz....can de PA take hiz werthlezz azz ta like what we haz heer called small claims court; noe a tern knee iz needed. we agreez with eric N flynnz mum....sorree ya haz thiz mezz ~~~~~~~♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteGreat view Melvyn. We are so sorry for the PSs problems. Dad always checks directly with the insurance company when he has someone working here (The Binder is what it is called here in the USA) Too little too late but next time. Get well soon.
ReplyDeletePS we agree with the Tabbies. Take that SOB (Stinky Old Buzzard) to court
Oh noes, we hope your mom decides to take legal action against that fluffer!
ReplyDeleteSorry about legal troubles.
ReplyDeleteHope you don't mind we did a special tribute poem for Millie and Prancie so we put in 2 links. Wouldn't upload our images though from our site.
Oh no! That stinks about the no insurance. Maybe the PA can take legal action against him and his company, though sometimes that is more trouble than it's worth.
ReplyDeleteReally sorry your Mum had to go through that.
ReplyDeleteLovely view you have there!
We can understand your P.A. being so angry. That is just terrible news! We love your burdwatching spot. And way to go, Parsley!
ReplyDeleteThat is awful news. Thank you for hosting the pet parade. XO
