Happy Wednesday pawesome pals
Welcome to our weekly news round-up and this weeks headline is..
The Great Iceberg Dilemma
Mew may remember on Mondays post, that we announced we'd reached our latest fundraiser target fur the Oz bush fires, and Parsley was going to transfer funds as soon as he'd unfrozen his credit card - well this was the scene late Monday afturnoon aftur he'd moved the iceberg out of the bunker - OOPS! MOL
He said and I quote, "Fur fluffs sake this is going to take ages, and do mew think a hairdryer would help?"
"Well if it's the size of a tank, it might!" Fudge replied helpfully.
"OH! OH! OH! I'll lend mew mine!" said Amber who was keenly watching the thaw with much glee from the conservatory.
"Oh I bet mew will!" Parsley replied, thinking to himself, 'Oh mew think mew're going to get your mittens on my credit card don't mew, I heard mew were down to your last three books and were desperately trying to get some more, as soon as I've sent the money to the RSPCA in Victoria that little card is going straight back on ice!"
And so it goes...
The lengths he goes to stop Amber from using his credit card to buy books is quite extraordinary!
GOOD LUCK WITH THE THAW DUDE! MOL MOL
In other news this week, we've bought some new Bug Hotels fur the garden, as in the autumn/fall we noticed one of our our existing ones - see pic below - its roof was in bad shape, so we used some duct tape as a temporary measure just to get through the winter months. But that is starting to peel off now, so as soon as the weather warms and the hibernating bugs wake up and check out, we'll be putting cedar shingles on
We've also bought these, to put around the garden to add some extra accommodation as the other day when the P.A. was doing a bit of snipping and pruning, she lifted some dead foliage and found half a dozen ladybirds in heap snoozing underneath.
So she carefully replaced the foliage and decided that the garden post-winter clean-up will have to wait until the weather is much warmer.
Hopefully the bugs will like the new accommodation.

If mew've missed any of the posts offur the last week, here's the catch-up links:
Amber will be here on Friday with fun book she can't wait to share with mew all, so do stop by the library, tea and nip cookies will be served, and we hope to see mew then!

Great job on the fundraising gang and the iceberg does look pretty scary!
ReplyDeleteYou may need to put a sensor on the iceberg, just in case somecat tries to use her claws to dig out that credit card!
ReplyDeleteWe have bug hotels too, but this year, am making a stack of branches for other critters.
Way to go on the fundraiser. Yikes on that hunk of ice. That's cold.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥
What a huge ice chunk....that would keep a lot of drinks cool...just saying...
ReplyDeleteAnd those are cool bug houses, we can get those here too, imagine that!
I think a flame thrower or two is needed for that iceberg!
ReplyDeleteThat iceberg is formidable. Are you sure a hairdryer is going to be enough???
ReplyDeleteLove the bug houses. The ladybirds are going to enjoy them!
