Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!

Our headline this week is; Aftur Dark Walking... dad and the P.A. love to go fur walks after dark.  Now, this may not be effuryones box of nip but they like to do a spot of stargazing on their circuit too and obviously that can be done in daylight! MOL

A couple of nights ago, they went a little earlier than normal and the sky was quite magical, only a few stars were out twinkling but the colours as the sky turned to full night were amazing; from deepest indigo through an entire blue spectrum all the way to a soft, incandescent peach tone.  In real life it was breathtaking to see, though dads iPhone camera did a purretty good job of capturing it.

In other news, the catnip seedling are up -WOOOOOO HOOOOOO - although they are tiny and it'll be another week or so before they can be potted on.  Also, the cucumber seedlings have emerged, and we've just pinched out the runner beans and peas to make then more vigorous and less-leggy.  We've got quite a lot of seedlings appearing, so potting on will be occurring soon.  Outside we planted a furst little batch of radishes as a little taster a week or so ago, and here they are just peeking out the top of the compost.

We'll plant a proper second and third crop directly in the ground as the weeks continue to get warmer but we wanted some early stuff growing just to get a head start on things.

The dahlia's and marigolds have appeared too, and we're waiting on the sweet peas as we've grown 6 different varieties this year.  We took delivery of some zinnia seeds last week but the weather needs to be much warmer before planting, though we can't wait to set those as its a jewel mix of all colours which we think is furry exciting!

Are mew growing anything this year?

  1. The sky is beautiful!
We live quite high up and have an open view down across Cornwall and have had some beautiful sunsets the last few nights. The sky seems much clearer lately with the stars showing up more brightly than usual.

    1. I forgot to say, of course I would hire Gumshoe Smooch.
I planted some Gazania seeds on Saturday, sealed them in a freezer bag and put them in the kitchen window. They are coming up already after only 4 days! I wish my other seeds germinated that quickly.

  6. Smooch, you would make a pawsome detective. The sky photo is so wonderful to see such beauty. But the best news is that the nip is starting to grow. Thanks for the share. Have a fantastic day.
