Many apologies for being late with today's post, the gravel for our garden project, see our second story was delivered a day early. It was supposed to turn up today, but it arrived at 5.30pm yesterday. And 50 x 20KG bags were left on a pallet outside the gate on the main drive, so they had to be moved last night, and that's why we're late today.
First up in the news this week
Farewell To Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
It's been very sombre since the announcement last Thursday at 6.30pm that our epically epic Queen had departed for the Rainbow Realm.
She will be missed by the world, and remembered always for being an utterly incredible and inspirational woman, a true pioneer of the modern world.
Her state funeral is on Monday, so at the moment we aren't sure if we'll post that day, probably not.
Next up in the news
Fudge Makes Some Impawtant Checks
To see more of the raised beds project, check out our last Gardening with Cats post here. We've got another update in a couple of weeks, it was planned for Monday, but due to the Queen's funeral, as we mentioned above we aren't sure if we're posting yet.
Just to give mew a little teaser, the gravel was delivered yesterday and here's a sneak peek.
It's a gorgeous golden-coloured gravel, anyhoo, stay tuned for the next update.
Finally this week
Melvyn Wears The Next Top Pick Bandana
Mew may remember a few weeks ago when Melvyn's latest order of bandanas arrived at BBHQ, and we asked mew to vote on the order he should wear them. Last week he wore the No.4 pick, the Good Vibes one.
This week, he's modelling the #5 selection called Parrot, mew can check out his previous bandana photos here.
And check out his latest TikTok video; he's asking very politely to go outside!
Also if mew're in the market for a new bandana, visit Eric's Empawrium at Etsy, mew can click the link in the left sidebar, and use our Ambassador discount code to get 15% off any purrchase: Bionic15
Please remind Amber that summer is over - time to get back to reviews.
It's funny that mew should say that, Amber was only remarking the other day that her first review of the new season starts on the 7th of October, and she's really excited to be back!
>^.^<
Smooch! That homegrown stuff, eh?
Oh yeah! The homegrown stuff is the best, and mew just can't get that potency anywhere else! MOL
>^.^<
Was that a "Dear Abyssinian" letter?
It was actually a rerun of a really old post from the BBHQ archives. We haven't ever heard of Dear Abyssinian until mew mentioned it. Is it any good? We'll have to check it out if so.
>^.^<
I guess you don't 'treat' pups...or do you!??!
Of course, Dr Basil can treat anypawdy that needs it! MOL Plus he does have quite a bit of knowledge about our epic K9 furiends.
That's us done for today, we will be back on Friday with some more fluffers, and if mew missed Monday's Dear Dr Basil post ~ Cats Have Purroblems Too click here to catch up.
Epic purrs
We mourn for The Queen too, and I am amazed on how much British Royal Family history that I remember.
ReplyDeleteI studied British History in college.
I too am very sad at the Queen's passing. I have spent most of the afternoon watching the procession of the gun carriage carrying her coffin. I only post on Fridays, but I doubt that I will turn the computer on at all on Monday. The gravel will look really good once it is all laid.
ReplyDeleteVery sad news still hard to believe. Your garden is coming on great we or mom put gravel down but 4 bags she had to carry and 3 bags of compost then she collapsed on the settee so I sat beside her to comfort mom.xxx
ReplyDeleteSo sad. She will be missed around the world.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥
I was sad at the passing of Queen Elizabeth. She's been part of the world as I know it for a long time, too. It's good to have Fudge checking up on things! And Melvyn really wears those bandanas with style.
ReplyDeleteWe are sure sad that The Queen had to leave, she was and always will be a special one. You kitties look wonderful and the garden area is looking great.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen was an amazing lady, and she leaves behind such an amazing legacy. The gardening project sure is coming along!
ReplyDeleteI too was very sad to learn of HRM Elizabeth's passing. A great loss for the whole world, really.
ReplyDeleteWow, you answered two of my questions!
Hoe you can complete that garden project, soon, it looks like it will be very nice.
