Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today, and this week I thought I'd share an up close and furry purrsonal selfie of yours truly, where my whiskers are epically ON FLEEK! Don't ask me what On Fleek means, as I'm not too sure, but I think it means they're looking purretty nifty, and mine fit into that category today! MOL
And yes, I know I've got a nice bit of eye snot, the P.A. has been trying to ambush me for the last two days to get it, but I have been fiercly reluctant to part with it - well I have to keep the P.A. on her toes! MOL
Anyhoo, let's look at this weeks top book pick.
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. I am glad I got rid of ___________________________.
2. I wish I had kept ________________.
3. _________ would be _________ if _________.
4. _________ is too close for comfort.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. I am glad I got rid of lots of stuff, but mainly anything that's broken and unreparable and not even useful for spares goes. Though I do live by a mend and make do kind of philosophy, sometimes, things are just beyond that and need to go.
2. I wish I had kept lots of stuff. I was silly and acted in haste a few years ago, and donated a lot of clothing which in one way was really nice to help others, but I wish I'd kept a few pieces, I have over-eager donators remorse about that! LOL So now when I'm prepping for a donation I make a stack and add to it over several weeks, and then I'll assess that stack for another couple of months before it goes. No more over-eager donators remorse.
3. Summer would be even more epic if I had a swim spa! I've wanted one of those swim spa thingys for years, maybe the swim spa Gods will look kindly upon me this year! LOL (I wish!)
4. _________ is too close for comfort. LOL There are many ways I could answer this: Standing in a crowded Tube carriage at rush hour. Being in a crowded cinema. Being in a crowded restuarant. Being in a crowded shopping centre, going to a concert or huge festival, etc... You see where this going don't you? I suffer from acute Snow-Leopard-Syndrome aka S.L.S., and for those who aren't familiar with it; basically I love solitude, my own company, and you only see me when I want you to see me. The rest of the time I'm in my own realm and blissfully happy, with my little clowder of kitties and my hubby.
This week's top book pick is...
The Case of the Cat Show Princess
The Buckley and Bogey Cat Detective Capers Book 1
by
Cindy Vincent
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Cat detectives Buckley and Bogey have barely advertised their new detective agency on the Internet when they receive a secretive email from a cat who claims she is in danger. Of course, the cat doesn’t give any details, like who she is or what kind of danger she’s in. Instead she mysteriously signs her name as P.A. and says she’ll be at the St. Gertrude Cat Show on the weekend. To investigate, Buckley and Bogey soon find themselves at that very cat show. And, as part of their cover, Buckley enters the Cutest Family Pet Competition and Bogey enters the Agility Competition. Before they know it, they come nose-to-nose with a real, live Princess. One who even wears a diamond collar!
Today I'm sharing another brand new series for me, even though this book was originally published in 2011, I only recently discovered it.
If mew're looking for a delightful, funny and entertaining read, look no further than The Case of the Cat Show Princess by Cindy Vincent. This book is the first in the Buckley and Bogey Cat Detective Capers series, and it's a real page-turner.
The story stars cat detectives Buckley and Bogey, two black cats, who receive a mysterious email from a cat in danger who uses the initials P.A. hmmmm where have I seen those initials before!? MOL To investigate and solve the mystery, they go to the St. Gertrude Cat Show, where they enter competitions to blend in, while they work undercover. And that's where they come face-to-face with a real-life princess, complete with a diamond collar!
The book is full of humor, suspense, and of course, talking cats! It's purrfect for fans of cozy mysteries or anypawdy who loves feline protagonists. The author does an excellent job of weaving together a fun and engaging story that will keep mew hooked until the very end.
The Case of the Cat Show Princess is a must-read for anypawdy looking for a fun and lighthearted adventure to while a lazy Sunday afternoon away. So if mew're ready to embark on an exciting journey with two handsome, and clever cat detectives, be sure to get your mittens on a copy of this book as soon as pawsible!
It's available within the Kindle Unlimited library, and there are six books in the series, so mew know I've already started book two! MOL
A Totally Top Paw Read!

Sweet Amber, that's a beautiful photo of you sweetie. Those were good fill-in answers too, way to go P.A. That book sounds really good and so was your review. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI know it is against your better judgment but sometimes it is better to cooperate.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds a lovely book, but now I am wondering if the PA has a secret alternative life!
ReplyDeleteAmber, you are such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteToo many people in one spot...count me out too.
Precious is often a bit slow on the face clean up after a long nap, Amber. I just leave it be. Sooner or later you girls clean up nicely. And I'm so like your PA. Give me space away from peoples. I will pick and choose who I speak with. Like my lovely Librarian, or my favorite cashier on Sunday morns at the grocery.
ReplyDeleteNice picture of you Amber, and great review. The book sounds intriguing and here, we especially like the idea of two black cats investigating mysteries!
ReplyDelete"I love solitude, my own company, and you only see me when I want you to see me. The rest of the time I'm in my own realm and blissfully happy, with my little clowder of kitties and my hubby." I can't even tell you how much I adore this quote!!! Amber, you are such a beauty! And we love Cindy Vincent's books! She's a real sweetheart too.
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful eyes Amber even with the eye snot. Poor Rosie gets those and I drive her crazy cleaning them. Great review. This is my favorite mystery series with cats. And thank you to the PA, for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I have had donator's remorse too. And I completely understand #4. XO
ReplyDeleteAmber your whiskers are definitely fleek and we love your eyes so alluring. Sounds I great read I love books with mystery this sounds good set around the cat show and the Princess wearing the diamond necklace.š½
