Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday! The weather at BBHQ this week has been rain, rain, and more rain, interspersed with rather breezy outbursts! MOL

So, our weekly feline adventures have been quite limited, and as mew’ll see in the cat photos below, we were really quite displeased! In fact, we’ve sent an urgent message to Humphrey in The Rainbow Realm to invent a weather machine so BBHQ can have lovely sunny days with a slight breeze, and gentle rain falling between 11 pm and 6 am daily throughout the summer months! MOL

Great news, just look at how well Fudge's favourite catmint plant is coming along, he is very happy at the moment!

Close-up of a lush catmint (Nepeta) plant in full bloom, featuring delicate lavender-blue flowers atop aromatic gray-green foliage. This hardy perennial thrives in sunny borders and cottage gardens, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds while repelling deer and rabbits. With its long-lasting blooms and drought-tolerant nature, catmint is a perfect low-maintenance addition to pollinator-friendly landscapes and herbal gardens.

Oh, and just look at the furbulous foxglove, what a colour!

Close-up of a stunning foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) in full bloom, displaying vibrant pink and purple bell-shaped flowers with intricate speckled patterns. Set against a lush green garden and a rustic dark wooden fence, this pollinator-friendly plant adds striking vertical interest to outdoor spaces. Ideal for cottage gardens, shaded borders, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes, foxgloves attract bees and hummingbirds while thriving in temperate climates. A captivating floral feature perfect for garden inspiration and botanical photography.

And finally, in the garden round-up today, one of the white climbing roses is being supurr rambunctious this year, just look at all those blooms!

Elegant white climbing roses in full bloom, cascading against a dark wooden fence. Their lush, multi-layered petals create a stunning contrast with the deep green serrated foliage, adding vertical interest to garden spaces. These fragrant, repeat-flowering roses thrive on trellises, walls, and pergolas, attracting pollinators while enhancing cottage-style landscapes. A timeless floral feature perfect for garden inspiration and botanical photography.

Who loves flowers, we do! MOL

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week

Fudge, Melvyn and Parsley Waiting For The Rain To Stop

Melvyn, Fudge, and Parsley—three charming feline companions—relax together in a cozy spot, their unique coats and expressive faces showcasing their distinct personalities. Melvyn exudes calm confidence, Fudge radiates playful energy, and Parsley adds an air of quiet curiosity. Surrounded by soft textures and natural light, these beloved cats embody the warmth, companionship, and delightful quirks that make feline friendships so special. Ideal for cat lovers, pet blogs, and lifestyle photography celebrating the beauty of cats in their natural environment.

As the Bank Holiday weekend has been a total washout, these three were rather hissed off, waiting for the clouds to shift and sunshine to appear, but the only thing they got was a blustery gusty load of wind! #ohdear

Parsley and Smooch Finally Get Outside

Parsley and Smooch, two gorgeous feline friends, relax in the courtyard surrounded by lush greenery and delicate cream-colored roses in full bloom. Their soft fur contrasts beautifully with the rustic dark wooden fence, creating a serene and picturesque scene. With their unique expressions and relaxed postures, these beloved cats embody the charm and companionship that make feline friendships so special. Perfect for cat lovers, pet blogs, and lifestyle photography celebrating the beauty of cats in their natural environment

When the rain finally let up, Smooch and Parsley headed out into the courtyard for a few minutes, but we're completely unimpressed by the dampness, fur-frizz and cool breeze.

So all outside activities were shelved and then everypawdy went upstairs and back to bed! MOL
