Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Well, what a disappointment the Bank Holiday weekend was. After all that supurr, furbulously warm weather last week, late Friday afternoon, it went cold, like 12 degrees cooler, and it's stayed like that for the entire long weekend. The sun did shine, but there was a chilly breeze that we weren't feeling in any capacity! MOL
It rained on Caturday night too, which was a good thing as there's been no rain for weeks, and we keep having to top the pond up. And speaking of the pond, the tadpoles are doing well, they like the extra snacks the P.A. bought last week, so that's good news.
Oh, and then on Sunday a supurr fluffy cat appeared in the garden. Does Pandora have a secret sister?
Has Pandora Got A Sister?
This little flumpit was looking for snacks, yes, BBHQ is known for its epic snacks in the local area, as well as epic catnip too! Anyhoo, what a cutie, and she looks a lot like Pandora, although a little lighter in colour. What do mew think?
And out of nowhere the lupins have suddenly budded, just look at these. That heat earlier last week really did the trick.
The one above may be a pink and white one, and the ones below are our favourite, the blue and white.
The tulips are nearly over, but these frilled deep crimson ones are still going strong; they are magnificent!
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Fudge Checking On The Catmint
Fudge was delighted to see that the catmint is still growing well. He went and had a little chat with it, as he read that talking to plants really helps.
Then he rustled through the garden border onto the back patio and was astounded at the size of the second catmint plant.
He said, and I quote, "Fluff me, it's HUGE!" MOL
Next up in the news
Pandora's Waiting to See
Pandora did a lot of lurking on Sunday after the other fluffy cat appeared. She wanted to see if it looked like her! MOL
In Other News
Smooch on Pawtrol
Smooch wasn't bothered about any of the above and just got on with his usual pawtrol around BBHQ, stopping briefly to watch two big, fat pigeons on the lawn.

I'm so very glad the catmint is growing! As for the cooler weather, enjoy it, once summer really sets in, you will wish you had some of the cool back again. At least. that's how it goes here.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Melvyn! I'd love to see the bees next.
That cat does look a lot like Pandora. I can't remember if Pandora was adopted or a stray. Either way she could have an unknown sister. The catmint and the lupins are growing well. Our flowers are doing well too. Even the begonias which were dug up before the winter and replanted 2 or 3 weeks ago are coming on in leaps and bounds.
ReplyDeleteI think I voted for Mr. Sunshine last week and will vote for it again because they rain is sure to return before too long.
Wow, we thought Pandora had tried to lighten her furs with Clariol! All of the flowers are simply beautiful After 5 days of non-stop pouring rain, 6 inches or more we are heading into dry and warm. No Spring here this year. Just delayed winter and now Summer! All of you had something special to keep you busy this week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden, beautiful kitties and a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteI pick #2 for next week.
I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥
"He said, and I quote, "Fluff me, it's HUGE!" MOL"

Voting for #3, and that fence sitter is pretty but not as pretty as Pandora.
Wow, the garden is getting ever more fabulous! I'm not surprised that beautiful visitor showed up! Melvyn, you look so snazzy in that bandana! We vote for Mr. Sunshine next week!

ReplyDeleteI hope that pretty kitty has a good home. Nice round up and looking good Melvyn. I like the daisies for next week. XO
ReplyDeletePandora, that other cat does look like you (though you are of course prettier)! Fudge, look at your catmint -- amazing! Good patrolling, Smooch. Way to keep those pigeons in line. And Melvyn, how about some sunshine next week? Hugs and purrs to you all!
ReplyDeleteWe like Mr Sunshine for the next bandana modeling.
ReplyDeleteWow,an intruder kitty?? Maybe she's looking for a new home? The nip and mint look amazing! I love lupines but can't seem to get any established here... I hope it warms up for you and that you'll get sone rain, too, but only at night so it doesn't interfere with the things you want/need to do!
Great photos of you guys and girls šŗ sure looks like a long lost relative of Pandora. Number 5 a bit sunshine we think.xš½š⬛šš¾š©·
