As mentioned in the Midweek News, we did have torrential rain; the courtyard was completely flooded, luckily it drained away pretty quickly.

At the P.A.'s and Cat Dad's work: Cat Dad got two big trash pumps out because he thought with the black clouds roiling and the storm forecast they were going to be toast, soggy toast, 4ft underwater toast, and he was prepared for the worst... but the Rain Gods spared them... Thank fluff for that.

Thank mew Rain Gods for showing mercy!

Good news, we've had some much cooler weather and rain too, not just a few chubby raindrops, but steady rain for a few hours. We had several cloud bursts with thunder on Thursday... It was even cooler yesterday, so much so that the P.A. almost... almost had to put the heating on. Mew couldn't write it, weeks and weeks of scorchio weather and now we're cold! MOL MOL

Well, it cooled down yesterday, after two horrifically scorchio days ~ 39C Thursday and 33C Friday. The UV was so intense that it fried the edges of water lily pads in the pond, and the poor hydrangea suffered too... Its leaves crisping, even though it was well watered and put in the shade. 

So we're happier that it's back down to the mid-twenties now, and there's even rain forecast for tomorrow ~ we'll believe it when we see it ~  and the temperatures dropping to the low twenties going forward, which suits us fine! MOL

We'll be back in the morning with a supurr fun post, but it's a surprise for now.
