Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today and furstly,
The B Team had a private New Years Eve pawty in the bunker at BBHQ as Nottinghamshire was put into Tier Four Lockdown on Wednesday, and the strange thing is the cases in our county were decreasing daily and then we get locked down again.
Mew know what I'm finding really strange right now in the UK; on the news on Wednesday evening it was announced that 21,000 people were in hospital with Covid-19 in the UK and there were a 1000 new cases the day before, so this vaccine that we have, well we have two vaccines now - so all of those people in the hospitals, are they getting the vaccine furst? And does the vaccine wurk if mew already have covid, and then what about the 1000's of new cases each day, are they getting the vaccine?
They are also now airlifting covid patients to hospitals all over the country too, surely if these peeps were given the vaccine, the hospital cases would drop tremendously and take the pressure off the NHS, and if new cases were vaccinated as soon as they appeared wouldn't this also slow the spread and begin the start of eradicating the virus altogether?
Why is no one asking these questions, as another long term lockdown will destroy even more businesses and livelihoods?
What do mew guys think to all of this?
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.

3. The year 2020 taught me that there are a lot of selfish, stupid idiots about - more than I originally thought! There are also a lot of good people too, though sadly the selfish idiots are ruining it for everyone.
4. Trying to get back to writing my books is one of my biggest goals for 2021.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
I did review this gorgeous book at the beginning of 2019, but as I think it's so delightful I'm sharing it again today.
The Twelve Cats of Christmas
by
Kandy Radzinski
About:
An adaptation of the traditional song "The Twelve Days of Christmas," presenting an increasing number of cats in a variety of poses and activities.
What did I think to The Twelve Cats of Christmas? I loved it, it's as simple as that!
I thought the illustrations were epic, the updated cat-themed verses were purrfect and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable little book.

Happy New Year! Let's hope 2021 will be better for everyone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute book. I do believe I see a Pipo twin on the cover:)
ReplyDeleteI work in health care and as such we are second in line to get the vaccine, but it hasn't yet arrived for us, though the front line workers are getting now. I don't have any good answers to your queries...but I do know that no realistic immunity happens until a few weeks after the second dose.
Let us hope that 2021 brings us much bertter times than 2020...though it seems for you, its not the best start.
We understand the lockdown idea, but if everyone just used a lot more common sense and did the easy things like distancing and masks, we likely would not need to be locked down. It IS so bad for the small businesses...
Happy 2021!
ReplyDeleteThat was a sweet little review Amber and we enjoyed those fill-in answers, especially #3, we can relate to that. Happy New Year from all of us!
ReplyDeleteLove the fill-ins and especially #3. I've noticed the same thing.

Happy New Year to all of you!
ReplyDeleteI have come to the conclusion the no-one in power knows what they are doing. When we went into the original lock down the numbers went down, but then everything was relaxed too much and too quickly. We need another proper lockdown throughout the country and a proper limit on travel. No more saying travel as far as you want as long as you don't stay overnight.
I love your 2021 word: balance.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Wishing all joy, peace, and love.
Happy New Year ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
Daisy Mae and Crystal
Amber that looks like a book we have to have. We are waiting for Dads book gift card to come he got for spending money on our noms. Well other stuff too. MOL Points is points.
ReplyDeleteNursey Dad says that they should be giving the vaccine to front line workers. The one his friends who still work in hospital are 2 part and they got theirs. They will give it to others even if ill as there is a chance of re-infection. They also will need supportive care. Dad is getting it when it is available to him as he is over 65. Luckily pretty healthy even if the parts are broken from his accident. Purrs and Happy New Year Friends!
Ooooo we have that book! Wheee Thanks Amber
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds great, Amber.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping 2021 is way kinder to all of us. Happy New Year, sweet friends!
Amber, I have that book. I got it when I had 12 cats. I can't believe I only have 8 now. :(
ReplyDeleteThank you to the PA for participating in the fill-ins, great answers-especially #3. I can't believe so many don't care if they spread it to others. All those questions you have are good questions. I hope you can write a book in 2021. Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year! XO
I totally want a copy of that book and will be checking to see if I can get it in the states! Purr purr purr.
