Hello gorgeous library guests
and
Welcome to the Mewton-Clawson Library at BBHQ
Thank mew for joining me in the stacks today; it's absolutely freezing, and Jack Frost has been to Mewton-Clawson overnight in a big way, even the library mice are refusing to wurk as it's too cold.
So today I thought I share a lovely throwback of yours-epically-truly from 2015; evidently, I was deliriously happy on this gorgeous, warm day in April when I was sampling a fresh flux of new catmint!
MOL MOL MOL
OMC I really crack myself up at times, my happiness and joy knows no bounds, in fact I think I should be the poster cat for both, I could spread the wurd far and wide!
I'm going to start using #Amberthereallyhappycat on my social media.
Today the P.A. is also joining in Friday Fill-ins Blog Hop with the pawesome 15 & Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs.
1. I hope _________ never changes.
2. The luckiest I have ever been was _________.
3. I never thought I would _________, but I did.
4. I'm waiting for _________.
The P.A.'s answers are...
1. I hope some peoples kindness never changes.
2. The luckiest I have ever been was when I fell through the ceiling and landed on the kitchen table flat on my back because I narrowly missed: a. breaking my neck on the back of the chair. b. I just missed landing on a big chunk of pointed lead crystal with my middle back, and finally c. only just missing the 5 arm wrought iron candelabra with my lower back - I was super lucky that day. And I mean SUPER LUCKY!
3. I never thought I would go clay/skeet shooting again, but I did.
4. I'm waiting for the covid-19 vaccine rollout to garner speed to help return us to normal as quickly as possible.
Let's see what I've got to show mew this time!
This week's top book pick is...
The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass
by
Lewis Carroll
Here's a little snippet of the book blurb:
Follow curious Alice as she ventures down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland, filled with unforgettable characters such as the March Hare, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts. Then enter a topsy-turvy universe the other side of the Looking Glass, where Alice encounters old and new friends, like Humpty Dumpty and Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
OMC look what the P.A. got me for Catmas, I was delighted to get my mittens on this ultimate classic novel.
I really love these epically epic tales, but I guess that mew guys have purrobably read them already, though I will say this; the Cheshire Cat is the coolest cat ever to star in a book, other than Basil of course! MOL
I heartily recommend this book to everyone, and what a purrfect gift it would make for all ages, and if by chance mew haven't read it, do as mew're really missing out. Plus, the books are way better than any movies that have ever been made, as no movie can ever truly capture these stories' essence or magic.
They really are two of the best stories ever, and in this edition mew get both stories for the price of one.
Totally top paw!

I really hope mew enjoy the book as much as I did if mew decide to read it.
It's time fur me to say BFN or bye-fur-now as mew know the drill, so many books, so little time and I'll be back next week with another specially paw-picked book just for mew, and don't furget that all my previous reviews can be found on my Book Review page.
Until next time...
Keep calm and read more books

It is never lucky to fall through a ceiling, but your Angels were certainly watching you that day.
ReplyDeleteI think you were not pleased to be disturbed in the garden that day, Amber! Alice in Wonderland is a lovely book.
That was a terrific review sweet Amber and we're so glad you're a happy girl. Those were good answers and we're thankful that fall was so lucky. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteThat is some good luck albeit from a disaster. Dad had the same when he was hit-n-run so many years ago (No L leg, L arm frozen, Pelvis in pieces with 49 metal bits) as he is alive and happy here with us. We have that very book in both print (pretty old) and e. It is timeless as you are dear Amber and friends
ReplyDeleteYour book review was really pawsome Amber. Sorry about your bad luck but always remember you can turn that bad luck into good luck.
ReplyDeleteLove your fill-in and especially you landing far better than you could have. You had an angel watching over you. I'm happy about that.
ReplyDeleteThe book review is purrfect as always, Amber. Sounds like a very fun read.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your lucky and wonderful mom. ♥
Terrific Fill-ins! Gosh! What a fall! You are LUCKY! Amber, you are one gorgeous lady cat, thank you for the tour of the library! Our Mom has a "thing" for Alice in Wonderland. She even wears an Alice in Wonderland ring! AND she has about 6 Alice in Wonderland books all done by different artists. Our favorite is the Pop-Up version!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Day!
Wow ! The PA surely WAS lucky when she fell through the ceiling. Our huMoom almost did once but a rafter caught her behind the knee and tipped her back onto solid flooring with only one leg through the floor over the basement staircase. Our calico sister Caddy was up in the attic with her and they just stared at each other for a minute and then huMom said "Caddy - go get the neighbors." But then she got up on her own and was able to go downstairs and get a strong cup of coffee. So super purrs to your PA !
ReplyDeleteI love your grumpy little face Amber, you are adorable. That is a great book. Thank you to the PA for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I guess you were lucky that day. I hope we can get that vaccine soon. Have a nice weekend. XO
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for a vaccine! I love seeing your smiling face Amber. š The P.A. was certainly very lucky that day.
ReplyDeleteWe love Alice!! My mom's favorite book since she was four, in human years. Her dad read it to her. She sometimes read parts of it to us! I have a sisfur named Chessie, for the railroad cat here in the US. Sometimes she sits on the dresser in the pawrent's room and stares at the mirror. Not at herself, but as if she is looking at that other room. When she does that, Mom always calls her Alice!!

I absolutely adore The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass! It has been a little bit since I read it last, but this might just be the hint that I need to dig it out sooner rather than later. Now I'm really looking forward to curling up with it by the fireside.
