Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
What another glorious few days at BBHQ, the temperatures reached a supurr heady 26 degrees Celsius on Monday!
Miss Flumpit Is Back
A few of mew were concerned about Miss Flumpit from last weeks post. Fear not, she apparently lives just across the road, as Cat Dad saw her with her human the other day. So she has a home, but is obviously allowed to free roam as and when she pleases.
Today's photo was taken at 1.50am the other evening when she popped in for a late-night snack, but arrived at the wrong time, and she was patiently waiting for the hedgehog horde to finish at the buffet.
Now, we don't really like feeding other peeps' cats, but unfortunately, the pawtrol squad have given Miss flumpit a free pass for the time being! MOL
The BBHQ Lilac Bush Is Blooming
OH MY COD, the lilac is out and the scent is so aromatic, it's just wafting all around the garden. If mew have allergies, mew wouldn't want to be anywhere near this, even the P.A. is sneezing when she gets near it, and she has no allergies whatsoever!
The First BBHQ Roses of 2025
We were supurr surprised to see the red rose blooming this early—well, it seems early, anyway. We love the pop of colour in the corner of the courtyard. We did lose the huge pale pink climbing rose that was at the back of the raised beds in the winter. A new white climber has now been planted and is growing well, though it'll be a while before we can really see it.
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

First up in the news this week
Parsley's Super Shady Spot
Parsley enjoyed a snooze on top of a large rockery stone on Sunday afternoon. This is his new go-to spot, and what a lovely spot it is!
Next up in the news
Fudge Enjoying An Early Morning Amble Around The Garden
Fudge was out bright and breezy on Caturday morning, enjoying all the early morning garden wiffles.
And just look at his favourite catmint plant, it's coming on in leaps and bounds, and this pleases him greatly! MOL
In Other News
Smooch Chillaxing Under The Gazebo
Smooch decided to hang out under the gazebo because it had been a little warm. He was happy that the P.A. had swept the rug, which was covered in laburnum flowers which have been falling from the nearby tree and covering everything in sight! MOL.
Finally this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
It was a tie between Mr Sunshine and Bee Furbulous, but as it's been a super glorious few days and the sun has been supurr shiny, Melvyn decided that was the one for today! MOL
As Melvyn has worn this bandana before, mew can check him out strutting his stuff on your preferred social media channel:
Which one should he model next?
Here's the May Bandana collection, and mew've five to choose from, even though we only needed four, OH MY COD, the utter excitement of it all! MOL
The May Collection:
1. Bee Furbulous
2. Blue Daisies
3. Tea for Two
4. Globugs
5. Mr Sunshine
Tell us your top pick for next week in the comments!

Glad the mystery kitty thing was solved. Hey, y'all are looking totally terrific today!
ReplyDeleteWe sure are glad to know Miss Flumpit has a home of her own.
ReplyDeleteYour lilac and catmint are looking good!. And all of you are looking EPIC!
How about blue daisies next week, Melvyn?
All of you, and Miss Flumpit, look happy and healthy and your garden is a lovely riot of color.
ReplyDeleteMelvyn, great modeling, I hope the bees can pull out a win soon.
I am glad Miss Flumpit has a home. She knows where to come for a free meal! The lilac looks beautiful. My MIL had a huge and beautiful lilac tree, but when we sold the farmhouse the people who moved in had it sawn down :(
ReplyDeleteAs it was a tie between Mr. Sunshine and the Bees, I will vote for Bee Furbulous this week. We have a huge bumble bee who keeps knocking on the window when I am in the recliner. He doesn't bother if I am not sitting there.
Melvyn, you are such a sunny furiendly itty in a sunshine bandana. We still wanna see you in #1 bees. Lynn thinks you all most certainly live in the "Secret Garden" and she wishes she could see it herself! Flowers galore!
ReplyDeleteSpring is everywhere. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥
Good to hear Miss Flumpit has a home! Love all the garden pictures and kitty pictures. Good modeling, Melvyn! We like Tea for Two for next week!
