Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday, fluffy furiends, here's hoping your midweek point is furbulous!

Well, the weather has been all over the place. It slowly got warmer as last week progressed. Then it went much cooler on Caturday, but warmed up on Sunday and then got even warmer on Monday, a heady 28 Celsius, and today, Tuesday, it's much cooler again. There was a bit of drizzle earlier on, and perhaps another shower later today.

Though we hope not, because Cat Dad is in full swing, building the new deck, and he's got to lay six slabs before he can put the steps on the edge of the deck. Hopefully, it will be finished by tonight and then the P.A. can work her magic and make it look supurr, lovely, smashing and great! MOL

The other day, when we were in the veggie garden, we had a look at the little citrus trees. Mew'll never believe it, but one is finally fruiting; it's only taken about three years. Just look at this...

Young green citrus fruit growing on BBHQ’s citrus tree for the first time, surrounded by elongated glossy leaves and set against a rustic brick wall. A decorative crystal sits nearby on a wooden surface, adding a touch of natural charm to this garden moment. Now we can't remember if this is the lime tree or the lemon tree, but either way, we're excited, as it's got about seven so far, and more flowers are blossoming. We'll keep mew posted as we have no idea about citrus trees at all, but it did get a bit of specialist feed the other day to help things along, and we moved into the Catservatory for the warmth.

Here are this week's flower offerings: a gorgeous pink (magenta) Dahlia with white tipped petals.

Stunning pink and white dahlia in full bloom at BBHQ, featuring vibrant magenta petals with crisp white tips and a yellow-green center. Supported by a black garden stake and surrounded by green foliage, gravel, and a tree trunk, this summer flower adds bold color and texture to the cottage garden. Ideal for floral photography, dahlia care tips, and seasonal gardening inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

And here's this week's rose.

Just look at the petals, they're like velvet, absolutely incredible!

Vibrant red rose in full bloom at BBHQ, with richly layered petals with the texture of fine velvet, surrounded by lush green leaves and garden foliage. Set against a rustic brick backdrop, this striking summer flower captures the elegance of cottage garden blooms and the beauty of seasonal floral photography. Ideal for rose care tips, gardening inspiration, and nature content from www.bionicbasil.com

I think we mentioned that the P.A. has bought some more roses, yes, on last week's post, she has also bought this garden arch/tunnel thing, sounds exciting, I know, but two of the roses are ramblers to climb over the arch and hopefully create a tunnel effect. It's about 6ft long, so we'll see how that goes, and hopefully it will be put up today - Tuesday - after the other jobs are done.

If her garden vision is on point, it should look really nice, and rambling roses are quite prolific and seem to like the soil here, so hopefully we won't have to wait too many years to see the final effect... we'll keep mew posted! MOL

Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
A whimsical floral blog divider featuring a vibrant stretch of green grass adorned with tall, delicate purple flowers. Among the blossoms, butterflies in soft hues of blue, lilac, and white flutter gently, creating a dreamy, spring-like atmosphere. First up in the news this week

Pandora Politely Asking For Pats

Pandora, BBHQ’s long-haired tortoiseshell cat with striking green eyes, politely asks for pats under the garden gazebo. With one eye squinting and her tongue slightly out, she stands on a light fabric-covered table near a wicker log basket and a red vintage phone box in the background. This charming moment captures feline personality, cosy garden living, and pet lifestyle photography from www.bionicbasil.com

Pandora is such a sweetie, she's still very 'flighty' and so for her to want pats is lovely!

In other news

 Parsley's Garden Safari

Parsley, BBHQ’s sleek black cat with green eyes, confidently struts across a lush green lawn on his garden safari. Wearing a collar with a bell and tag, his tail raised high, Parsley explores the vibrant garden filled with flowers, trees, and foliage. This dynamic outdoor moment captures feline curiosity, garden adventure, and pet lifestyle photography from www.bionicbasil.com

Parsley was enjoying a nice garden safari the other day, and if mew look closely, just over an inch away from his tail to the right, mew'll see a tiny splash of red. That's the rose featured earlier. So now mew know exactly where that one is in the garden! MOLA whimsical floral blog divider featuring a vibrant stretch of green grass adorned with tall, delicate purple flowers. Finally this week

Fudge Pretending to Nap

Fudge, BBHQ’s cheeky ginger cat, snuggled in a woven basket lined with a soft grey plaid blanket, pretending to nap with one eye slyly open. Curled into a perfect circle beside a white stair railing, this playful moment captures feline comfort, cozy home aesthetics, and the irresistible charm of cat antics. Ideal for pet lifestyle photography, ginger cat content, and cozy home inspiration from www.bionicbasil.com

On Catuday morning, Fudge was pretending to nap, but the supurr stealth dude had one eye open!

So sneaky, we think he was watching and waiting for the P.A. to go downstairs so he could get his third breakfast! MOL

Yep, he really likes his food.

  2. What a cheering mid-week news round up! I hope you do get some needed rain, but only at night when everyone is asleep. Wouldn't it be so convenient if that were the way of it?

  4. It has turned quite a bit cooler here also. At the moment we are getting torrential rain which is far to hard to be much use in the garden. I expect there will soon be reports of flooded roads. It should stop by midday, then showers for the rest of the week. Well done to your citrus tree for bearing fruit! The dahlia and rose look beautiful, and lovely photos of everyone.
