The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **Spring Flowers** ~ Parsley's Sunspot, Pandora Posing on The Millwheel, and Fudge Enjoying A Spot of Heat Therapy ~ **PLUS** Melvyn's Modelling

**Alt Text:** A colourful collage shows ten cats lined up in a row, each with different fur patterns and expressions. Behind them is a decorative backdrop of pink cherry blossoms, pastel bunting, and newspaper‑style graphics. Bold text in the centre reads “Midweek News Round Up with The B Team @BionicBasil.” In the top right, a cat with its mouth open appears to shout, with a speech bubble saying “EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!” The bottom edge is framed with pink and white flowers.

 Epic Greetings Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday!

Let's do the weather report ... we've had some sunny spells, but sadly, this time of year, those soon gave way to overcast greyness. Though the rain has stayed away, we've only had a tiny bit of drizzle instead of a full-on monsoon.

This has been most beneficial, as the P.A. can now see the craters in the local roads; they're not covered in water anymore! MOL

Yes, we have a monstrous pothole problem in the area right now, so much so that the P.A. actually asked if she could use the tank on rubber tracks that's in the bunker.

I had to respectfully decline, as she doesn't hold the appropriate license. Sadly, I can't repeat her response to that! MOL

Moving on, here are some really pretty flowers!

A vibrant cluster of spring primroses in shades of white, pink, bright pink, and purple blooms among lush green leaves in the garden at BBHQ. The flowers sit against a natural backdrop of soil and fallen leaves, creating a cheerful burst of early‑spring colour.

On the Sunday Selfies post, remember the catnip plant by the back door?

So, before we dive into this week's news, we just have to answer this query from Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs, because it was a very valid and well-pointed out.

That was mean of the PA to not hand over the trimmed catnip so you could have at least indulged in it

It was heinously mean in the context of the post, but let me explain ... it was a tiny plant about sixteen inches in height, on about three straggly stems, which had miraculously survived the winter. After Parsley discovered it, there was very little left; yes, he massacred it, shredded with his pantherene claws.

So the P.A. cut it back before it was literally ripped out of the pot, and then there'd be none for this summer.

It was a small sacrifice for the greater good! MOL

Very well pointed out, and thank mew Meezer's, we love it that mew have our six on the catnip front, totally top paw!!!! 🐾🐾

First up in the news this week...

Parsley's Sunspot

Parsley, a sleek black cat, is stretched out on a light cushioned seat, fast asleep in a warm sunspot. His crescent‑moon collar charm rests against his fur as the sunlight highlights his glossy coat. The scene feels peaceful and content, capturing Parsley enjoying a perfect moment of sunshine.

Parsley took full advantage of an early morning sunspot. He loved it!

Next up in the news...

Pandora Posing on The Millwheel

Pandora, a long‑haired brindle-torti cat with warm brown highlights, stands on a stone millwheel outdoors, looking directly at the camera with a poised, confident expression. Sunlight catches the texture of her fur, and behind her are shrubs, bare branches, and a bright yellow spring flower under a clear blue sky. The scene feels calm and majestic, as though Pandora is surveying her garden kingdom.

In another sunny moment, Pandora was kind enough to let us take this picture! MOL

In other news...

Fudge Enjoying A Spot of Heat Therapy

Fudge, a relaxed ginger cat, is stretched out on a textured rug in front of a glowing wood‑burning stove, his paws neatly crossed as he soaks up the warmth. The soft firelight highlights his fur while fireplace tools stand nearby, creating a snug, peaceful scene of pure heat‑therapy bliss.

Meanwhile, Fudge took the opportunity to optimise his heat therapy session while the others were outside!

He said, and I quote, "All the more warms for me!" MOL

And finally, this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

This time, Melvyn is modelling Spring Vibes, and he's absolutely loving it!

This one was a landslide in the voting, well done everypawdy!!!

Melvyn, a tabby cat with brown, black, and white markings, stands on a wooden sideboard wearing a bright purple floral “Spring Vibes” bandana. His eyes are closed in a relaxed, contented expression, as though he’s fully embracing the moment. Behind him is a cosy, stylish room with warm lighting, framed artwork, plants, and a lamp, giving the scene a calm, homey feel.

He's feeling so fluffing epic; it's not measurable by any instrument on Earth! MOL

Which one should he model next?

Here's the March Bandana Selection, and as we're headed full steam into Spring, we chose some colourful and bright bandanas for this month. Plus, it's St Paddy's Day, too, and how could we not have one for that epic day!

It's St. Paddy's next Tuesday, so we know which one should be next!!! MOL

Hoping mew have a furbulous day, and remember to always...

The phrase “STAY FLUFFY” appears in large, bold letters coloured soft yellow with a pink drop‑shadow effect. The playful, rounded typography gives the message a cheerful, light‑hearted feel against a plain background.

  2. Of course I have to vote for St. Paddy's! That was definitely worth sacrificing the straggly nip for a good crop later. It has turned a bit colder here, so I make the most of your sun spots!

  10. It seems like St. Paddy's Day will be appropriate for next week, Melvyn! We loved seeing you all. We hope the catnip the PA saved makes for a bumper crop in the summer.

And watch out for those potholes (we have them here, too)!

  11. I'm trying to play catch up, work has kept me from reading everyone's posts but I hope you continue to have dryer weather so the PA can see the potholes (we have that trouble here, too).
