The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **THE HEDGLINGS ARE HERE!!!** ~ Sauce is In The Shade, Pandora's Sunny Spot, and Fudge's Not Happy ~ **PLUS** Melvyn's Modelling

**Alt Text:** A colourful collage shows ten cats lined up in a row, each with different fur patterns and expressions. Behind them is a decorative backdrop of pink cherry blossoms, pastel bunting, and newspaper‑style graphics. Bold text in the centre reads “Midweek News Round Up with The B Team @BionicBasil.” In the top right, a cat with its mouth open appears to shout, with a speech bubble saying “EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!” The bottom edge is framed with pink and white flowers.

 Epic Greetings Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday!

Well, what a week, it just goes from bonkers to even more crazy. The washing machine died and went to washing machine heaven on Sunday. Good news, we've got a replacement coming on Thursday, same model, so that was unlucky and lucky! What with the dishwasher, the tumble dryer, and the radiators, things have been really fluffed as of late.

The weather has been a mix of sun, clouds, intermittent sun with clouds and full cloud coverage with wind. The wind was getting up yesterday, and it was a bit too cool for our liking, so we stayed inside, out of the frigid air. Then, last night, it rained with bluster... we hope that fluffs off soon.

But some good news, the hedgehogs are back.

Here's the first picture of one of this year's baby hedglings. The P.A. put some special hedgehog crunchies on the stepping stone

A small hedgehog eats from a pile of dry food on a stone pathway in a softly lit nighttime garden. Raised beds and planters filled with plants line the path, creating a cosy, welcoming scene. This image appears in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up announcing that the hedgehogs—“the Hedglings”—have arrived at BionicBasil®.

We've seen three so far, paws crossed, there's some more in the next few weeks.

And here's this week's Spring flowers.

A black rectangular planter filled with blooming purple tulips sits outdoors on a tiled surface beside a wooden post. A small solar garden light nestles among the flowers, with a neatly trimmed green hedge in the background. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®, celebrating the new tulips now in bloom.

These are some of the new bulbs we mentioned last week. They are just about to pop.

We can't wait to see the others when they emerge.

This Month's Embroidery - Cute Kitty

A colourful mixed‑media embroidery artwork of a smiling cat wearing pink beaded glasses and a yellow sequin‑decorated top. The cat is crowned with an elaborate floral headdress made from bright embroidered flowers and sequins, set against a green fabric background with scattered decorative embellishments. The piece is framed in a wooden shadow box with a purple inner border and featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®.

We found a furbulous arty blog hop and mew know how much the P.A. loves all that stuff, so here's her little project. She hopes this is acceptable as the rules are quite strict. If not she tried! MOL (She'll have to get back in the craft room, and try again with her secret journal next time!)

And now let's look at this week's news.

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

First up in the news this week...

 Sauce is In The Shade

A black cat sits on a gravel path in a sunny garden, positioned in the cool shade beside a raised wooden planter filled with lush greenery. A brick wall with climbing plants forms the backdrop. This photo features Parsley, also known as Mr Sauce, in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®.

Parsley, also known as Mr Sauce at BBHQ, was sitting in the courtyard's shade the other day. A few paces back, he could have been in the sunshine.

Next up in the news...

 Pandora's Sunny Spot

A fluffy tortoiseshell cat sits on an antique wooden sleeper in a bright spring garden, surrounded by blooming yellow daffodils. A small black garden ornament rests beside her, with a red wheelbarrow and white summerhouse in the background. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®, celebrating Pandora enjoying her sunny spot.

Pandora found a sunny spot the other day.

And the daffodils are looking furbulous.

In other news...

 Fudge's Not Happy

A ginger cat sits beside a large terracotta pot filled with blooming pink and purple hyacinths in a sunny garden. He appears unimpressed as sunlight casts his shadow across the pot. Green foliage and spring flowers surround him. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®, highlighting Fudge’s “not happy” moment.

Fudge was a little hissed off as the P.A. wouldn't let him on the roof; she blocked him just as he was about to launch off the dustbin.

She later found him sulking in the garden! #OHDEAR

And finally, this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Guys, we're going to make mew laugh now, the P.A. got this month's bandanas in a right twist and muddle, it wasn't Pretty Garden for this week, it was Colourful Owls! MOL OH MY Cod, she seriously needs a day off!

Melvyn looks adorable, and look, he's waving to his fans in the garden - well, the flowers in the pots! MOL

Melvyn, a white tabby with black and brown markings models a colourful owl‑patterned bandana in a two‑photo collage. In one image he sits calmly facing the camera; in the other he reaches a paw toward a window, appearing curious or waving at this fans! LOL A woven rug and wicker basket create a cosy indoor setting. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®

We'll sort out some new bandanas for next week and see if the P.A. can get it right next time! MOL #pawscrossed

That's us done for today.

Amber will be back on Friday with another pawesome book, and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:

What The Fluff ~ BBHQ Q&A Episode 2

Hoping mew have a furbulous day, and remember to always...

The phrase “STAY FLUFFY” appears in large, bold letters coloured soft yellow with a pink drop‑shadow effect. The playful, rounded typography gives the message a cheerful, light‑hearted feel against a plain background.
... and utterly epic!

  1. Whoa, Fudge!
    That's some serious stink-eye.

    1. MOL! Fudge really was serving maximum stink‑eye, he was most put out about being grounded from roof‑exploring.
That ginger floof can hold a grudge like no other! 😹

    1. MOL, Fudge’s stink‑eye really does speak volumes, no words needed when that ginger floof is displeased! 😹
And hooray indeed for the hedglings and all the gorgeous spring blooms popping up around BBHQ. It’s turning into a very colourful season!

  3. Melvyn you look very handsome even though you could not go outside and be with your pretty flowers. We're glad to see your tulips. And as far as major appliances are concerned, if you buy them all at the same time in the same year you can just bet they're all going to break the same time. But for a few short years all will be well except for the bank account.

Melvyn says thank mew kindly, he was a bit disappointed about missing out on his garden time, but he’s very happy mew think he still looks handsome. 💛🌸
We’re thrilled mew enjoyed seeing the tulips too; they’re really brightening up BBHQ right now.
And oh mew are so right about appliances! MOL
They always seem to form a secret pact:
Buy us together… break down together!
The P.A.’s bank account is still recovering from the dishwasher–tumble‑dryer–radiator saga, and now the washing machine decided to join the rebellion. 😹
Here’s hoping everything behaves for a little while now!

We think Fudge appreciated the sympathy, he was most offended about the roof situation and wanted everypawdy to know it. 😹
And thank mew for the sweet compliment… the B Team is blushing under all the floof!

What is wrong with the sun, Parsley? Pandora is not making that mistake! I am glad I am not on the other end of that stink eye, Fudge!

We’re over the moon that the hedgehogs have returned, that tiny hedgling really was the cutest little night‑time visitor. 🦔💛
The tulips are putting on a fabulous display too; spring is definitely showing off at BBHQ.
As for Parsley… who knows what his issue with the sunshine was! MOL
Pandora, of course, is far too savvy to sit in the wrong spot, she always finds the purrfect lighting. 😹
And yes, Fudge’s stink‑eye is something none of us want aimed our way. He was very unimpressed about the roof ban!
Melvyn waves right back with a big happy paw!

  10. Fudge...Fudge...come now! The P.A. was trying to save you from the possibility of an injury. Of course, you are too careful for THAT to happen but still, give her credit for the love she showed.
The hedgeHogs are adorable. I am looking forward to seeing more! We don't have such here where I live. But Mom reads about them fairly frequently. Melvyn, can't wait for you to come down the hallway with your newest bandana!

Fudge absolutely knows the P.A. was only trying to keep him safe … but try telling that to a ginger floof with big adventure plans! MOL! He’ll forgive her eventually - after a suitable amount of dramatic sulking, of course. 😹💛

We’re thrilled mew enjoyed seeing the hedgehogs! They really are adorable, and we’re hoping more little prickly visitors appear as spring rolls on. The P.A. keeps checking the cameras every night just in case.

And Melvyn is already practising his runway strut for the next bandana reveal. He loves having fans waiting for him in the hallway!😹😹😹😹😹
