Epic Greetings Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

First up, many, many apologies for missing last week's blog hops and commenting; things happened, and there was no more time. We'll try to catch up this week. So sorry about that!

Now, let's give mew the weather report. It has been rainy, showery, gusty, with random splodges of sunshine, plus a pawful of longer spells of sunshine but with a bitterly cold wind, so completely useless! However, apparently on Friday it's going to reach a supurr, mega, epic 17 Celsius, but if the wind is still cold, that will be as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

Oh, and before we head into the news, on the Sunday Selfies post, The J-Cats from Purr-sonally Speaking asked;

What are those little purple flowers?

Clusters of vibrant purple grape hyacinths bloom in the foreground of a garden bed, surrounded by pastel pink, yellow, and white primroses with lush green foliage. Moss‑covered rocks, dried leaves, and patches of grass create a natural, slightly wild spring garden setting. “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom.

Here's a better photo, as the one on Sunday with Parsley; the flowers were barely visible.

These are grape hyacinth; they are a delightful shade of bluey-purple. Depending on the light, they can seem bluer or more purple, and they grow all over the place, just how we like our gardening, utterly chaotic in the best possible way! MOL

The Forget-Me-Knots are about to burst forth around the garden, and some of the tulips are still taking their time. We'll see next week if things improve.

Now, let's look at this week's top stories...

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

First up in the news this week...

Parsley's Checking The Flowers

Parsley, black cat stands on a paved patio beside a vibrant flower bed filled with red, pink, yellow, and white tulips surrounded by lush green leaves. The cat looks toward the flowers as if inspecting them. In the background, another torti cat, Pandora, sits further back in the garden, partially hidden among the greenery. A small pond, a large pot, and garden furniture complete the peaceful outdoor scene. “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom

Here's this week's cat with tulips photo, and if mew look closely, Pandora is in the shot!

Yep, she was spying on Parsley as he was inspecting the flowers in the raised beds, and he had no idea she was watching him! MOL

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

Next up in the news...

Smooch Couldn't Be Fluffed

Smooch, a white cat with black markings rests on a weathered wooden bench in weak sunlight. The cat, a tripaw, sits comfortably with its black‑tipped tail curled beside it, the light highlighting the texture of its fur and the bench. Green garden foliage surrounds the scene, creating a peaceful outdoor setting. “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom.

Smooch was in the garden, and he just couldn't be bothered with anything.

He said, and I quote, "I just can't be fluffed!"

So he parked up on the bench in the courtyard and took five while the sun tried to peak out - it didn't!

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

In other news...

Fudge's Snug As A Bug

Fudge, a ginger floof, lies cozily wrapped in a soft beige‑and‑brown woool rug, with his head and one paw peeking out. The cat is nestled among patterned cushions, including geometric and polka‑dot designs, creating a warm and snug indoor scene. “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom.

While all that outdoor stuff was happening. Fudge made the sensible decision to stay on the sofa, as snug as a bug in a rug!

He said, and I quote, "Yeah, that outdoor vibe is not vibing with me today!"

And finally, this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Spring Freshness was the winner this week!

A white‑and‑dark‑furred cat sits on a circular green‑and‑white toy track with a textured brown mat in the centre. The cat wears a white bandana decorated with colourful spring‑themed patterns, including flowers and circular designs. The scene is set indoors with wooden flooring, large bright windows, and lush green plants in the background. “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom.

Melvyn sat on his Catit play set for this epic shot! MOL

What he's not telling mew is this... right in front (out of shot) was the biggest pile of catnip which he had been partaking in prior to this modelling assignment... yep, mew can imagine right?!!! MOL

A curved string of pastel pennant flags hangs in gentle arcs, with triangles in soft blue, pink, yellow, and green. At each peak of the curve sits a white flower with a yellow center, giving the decoration a cheerful, festive look suitable for celebrations or spring‑themed designs.

Which one should he model next?

Here's the April Bandana collection.

As spring is now officially here, we chose some more colourful and bright bandanas for this month.

Five colourful triangular bandanas are arranged on a light wooden surface, each with a different vibrant pattern. Designs include hot‑air balloons and animals, stylised floral motifs, large pink flowers on teal, playful pink cats on black, and a yellow‑and‑pink floral print. Text reads “The April Bandana Collection at BBHQ.

2. Spring Freshness

3. Peony Purrfection

4. Cute Pink Cats

5. Blooming Marvellous

 Epic Greetings Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

We hope mew are having a lovely week.

Let's begin with the weather report.

Well, compared to last week, it has improved somewhat. However, Good Friday and the Easter weekend were rather overcast, and Caturday evening was like a whirlwind. But then on Monday the sun came out, and again on Tuesday, with it being even warmer.

The P.A. has had to fill the birdbaths up and water some of the pots as everything has dried out. It seems quite mad after all the rain over the winter, but then so it goes! MOL

Last week, on Wednesday, was the full moon, and the photo we shared was from Monday evening. Here's the actual full moon:

A nighttime sky with a bright full moon partially hidden behind thick, swirling clouds. The moonlight creates a glowing halo with subtle rainbow hues around the cloud edges. In the foreground, a silhouetted pergola or garden structure is outlined by small string lights. Bare tree branches stretch in from the right side, adding contrast against the illuminated clouds. The scene has a calm, atmospheric feel. The bottom of the image includes the text “copyright www.bionicbasil.com"

It had a really pretty halo around it, and the clouds were quite atmospheric, so all in all, not a bad moon pic! MOL

Now let's look at the news.

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

First up in the news this week...

Pandora Showing Off The Tulips

Pandora, a fluffy dark‑coloured cat sits on a light wooden deck beside two small solar garden lights. Behind the cat is a garden bed with green plants and tall dried stems. To the right, a terracotta pot overflows with blooming pink and purple tulips. A dark wooden fence frames the background. The scene feels peaceful and homely. The bottom of the image includes the text “copyright www.bionicbasil.com.”

Pandora loves the pink and magenta tulips!

And honestly, who can blame her?

These tulips below have been blooming for a week or so, but the centre flowers were being a little resistant to opening; they were closed on Caturday, but on Monday they burst forth!

A collage of four side‑by‑side photos showing a rectangular black planter filled with blooming tulips in shades of purple, pink, and a few red‑orange accents. The planter sits on a sunlit patio surrounded by wooden structures and garden greenery. Bright daylight highlights the vivid colours of the flowers. The text “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom centre.

Hopefully, more will be out in front of the catservatory over the next few days, as they seem to be a little slow to emerge.

The red ones we shared last week have been blooming for days; if the others are out for next week, we'll definitely share!

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

Next up in the news...

Fudge and Smooch Nose To Nose

An orange cat with a fluffy tail stands on a sunlit wooden deck, leaning forward to touch noses with a white cat marked with black patches. The second cat sits inside a large planter filled with tall, grassy plants. Bright sunlight casts clear shadows across the deck, and stone pavers form the background. The text “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom.

Fudge and Smooch were nose to nose on the back deck.

Don't ask what they were discussing, because we have no idea! MOL

In other news...

Melvyn's Flat Out on The Huge Cushion

Melvyn, a brown black‑and‑white tabby cat lies stretched out on a large, colourful patchwork cushion made of floral and patterned fabric squares. To the right stands a tall pink cat tree with multiple levels, sisal‑wrapped scratching posts, pom‑pom trim, and several plush toys. A woven basket filled with more toys sits beside it. On the left, a pink paw‑print stool and a fluffy pink chair add to the cosy indoor cat space. Light wooden flooring and a beige rug complete the warm, playful setting. The image includes the text “copyright www.bionicbasil.com.”

While everypawdy was outside, Melvyn decided to get comfy on one of Fudge's favourite snooze spots!

Don't tell Fudge! MOL

And finally, this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Ballooning with Furiends won the vote last week.

He spent ten minutes rolling all over the place before the P.A. managed to get this photo! MOL

Melvyn a white, black‑and‑brown tabby cat lounges on a dark textured outdoor mat near a brick wall and white door. The cat wears a colourful bandana decorated with cartoon designs, including a pink rhino, clouds, stars, and playful patterns. Reflections of greenery appear in a nearby window, and outdoor furniture and plants create a cosy patio setting. The text “copyright www.bionicbasil.com” appears at the bottom.

So much cuteness is happening right now! MOL

The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **THE HEDGLINGS ARE HERE!!!** ~ Sauce is In The Shade, Pandora's Sunny Spot, and Fudge's Not Happy ~ **PLUS** Melvyn's Modelling

 Epic Greetings Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday!

Well, what a week, it just goes from bonkers to even more crazy. The washing machine died and went to washing machine heaven on Sunday. Good news, we've got a replacement coming on Thursday, same model, so that was unlucky and lucky! What with the dishwasher, the tumble dryer, and the radiators, things have been really fluffed as of late.

The weather has been a mix of sun, clouds, intermittent sun with clouds and full cloud coverage with wind. The wind was getting up yesterday, and it was a bit too cool for our liking, so we stayed inside, out of the frigid air. Then, last night, it rained with bluster... we hope that fluffs off soon.

But some good news, the hedgehogs are back.

Here's the first picture of one of this year's baby hedglings. The P.A. put some special hedgehog crunchies on the stepping stone

A small hedgehog eats from a pile of dry food on a stone pathway in a softly lit nighttime garden. Raised beds and planters filled with plants line the path, creating a cosy, welcoming scene. This image appears in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up announcing that the hedgehogs—“the Hedglings”—have arrived at BionicBasil®.

We've seen three so far, paws crossed, there's some more in the next few weeks.

And here's this week's Spring flowers.

A black rectangular planter filled with blooming purple tulips sits outdoors on a tiled surface beside a wooden post. A small solar garden light nestles among the flowers, with a neatly trimmed green hedge in the background. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®, celebrating the new tulips now in bloom.

These are some of the new bulbs we mentioned last week. They are just about to pop.

We can't wait to see the others when they emerge.

This Month's Embroidery - Cute Kitty

A colourful mixed‑media embroidery artwork of a smiling cat wearing pink beaded glasses and a yellow sequin‑decorated top. The cat is crowned with an elaborate floral headdress made from bright embroidered flowers and sequins, set against a green fabric background with scattered decorative embellishments. The piece is framed in a wooden shadow box with a purple inner border and featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®.

We found a furbulous arty blog hop and mew know how much the P.A. loves all that stuff, so here's her little project. She hopes this is acceptable as the rules are quite strict. If not she tried! MOL (She'll have to get back in the craft room, and try again with her secret journal next time!)

And now let's look at this week's news.

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

First up in the news this week...

 Sauce is In The Shade

A black cat sits on a gravel path in a sunny garden, positioned in the cool shade beside a raised wooden planter filled with lush greenery. A brick wall with climbing plants forms the backdrop. This photo features Parsley, also known as Mr Sauce, in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®.

Parsley, also known as Mr Sauce at BBHQ, was sitting in the courtyard's shade the other day. A few paces back, he could have been in the sunshine.

A bright spring border made of lush green grass topped with alternating pink and white tulips, accented by small yellow flowers. Taller blades of grass rise behind the blooms, creating a fresh, cheerful, garden‑themed decorative frame.

Next up in the news...

 Pandora's Sunny Spot

A fluffy tortoiseshell cat sits on an antique wooden sleeper in a bright spring garden, surrounded by blooming yellow daffodils. A small black garden ornament rests beside her, with a red wheelbarrow and white summerhouse in the background. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®, celebrating Pandora enjoying her sunny spot.

Pandora found a sunny spot the other day.

And the daffodils are looking furbulous.

 Fudge's Not Happy

A ginger cat sits beside a large terracotta pot filled with blooming pink and purple hyacinths in a sunny garden. He appears unimpressed as sunlight casts his shadow across the pot. Green foliage and spring flowers surround him. Featured in the BBHQ Midweek News Round‑Up at BionicBasil®, highlighting Fudge’s “not happy” moment.

Fudge was a little hissed off as the P.A. wouldn't let him on the roof; she blocked him just as he was about to launch off the dustbin.

She later found him sulking in the garden! #OHDEAR

And finally, this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

Guys, we're going to make mew laugh now, the P.A. got this month's bandanas in a right twist and muddle, it wasn't Pretty Garden for this week, it was Colourful Owls! MOL OH MY Cod, she seriously needs a day off!

Melvyn looks adorable, and look, he's waving to his fans in the garden - well, the flowers in the pots! MOL

In one image he sits calmly facing the camera; in the other he reaches a paw toward a window, appearing curious or waving at this fans! LOL A woven rug and wicker basket create a cosy indoor setting. We'll sort out some new bandanas for next week and see if the P.A. can get it right next time! MOL #pawscrossed
